Garbage Store, it’s gotta be one of the smallest Kroger store I’ve ever been in. I have to dodge shopping carts every time I go to this store, also store smells like sour mop water. Customer service counter is never opened but always have workers hanging around it, but if you go to the Kroger in Smyrna it’s customer service is always opened and much cleaner.
After reading some of these comments, I decided to think about JoJo and took another approach to know her. Bam, I had her smiling and loved it. Jo is my new friend. Thank you all for the positive comments.
Two stars is being generous. Only good thing about this Kroger is one of the ladies that works in the self checkout. Every other person I have encountered in this store acts as of you are troubling them by asking questions on items. So people can’t get upset when robots are doing the job for them since they can’t be bothered to do what they were hired to do. Then they never have anything in stock.
I wish I could leave 0 stars. I go to this Kroger daily (as it’s walking distance from my house) & I’m beyond angry about the customer service. My first gripe is Jojo- she is rude! I’ve experienced her yelling at me and several other customers in the self check out line (which is always a disaster due to the lack of space to actually make a line)… She was yelling for us to move & was displeased with how slow we were moving- but there was nowhere to move to without bumping into other customers. So I yelled back at her saying “Well how do you expect us to move when there’s no room! Also, give us a minute, we all have to shuffle to do this.” I get she’s likely stressed about the poor physical setup for the self checkout area- but don’t yell at me! Be kind. But that’s not the first time she’s been rude. I’ve seen her cut customers off when they were asking for help & belittle them to where they feel stupid. People are too kind to this lady, they should honestly buck up and not take her bullying. Grocery shopping shouldn’t feel like a hassle/we shouldn’t feel like we have to walk on eggshells around her.
Then there’s the other self checkout lady that’s usually there in the morning. She’s a shorter, older lady with glasses and blondish hair…she’s definitely nicer than jojo- but she’s still pretty damn rude. She acts like I’m an inconvenience when I need help.. even this morning she caught an uncalled for attitude with this older gentleman. He was trying to scan his groceries at a register that was turned off. He quickly realized and she said ‘yeah that’s one’s not turned on.’ He responded with, “Yes, I’m sorry, I didn’t check before scanning”. Her reply???… She says ‘Yeah, obviously you didn’t’ with a snarky tone. Again, she’s definitely nicer than jojo- but the overall morale of this store is ‘We don’t care about our customers’.
The only good person at this store is the 3rd Self Checkout lady (and I don’t know if you’ve noticed- but I often only encounter self checkout people because half the time they have no lanes open, or baggers, or just employees in general..I always have to hunt someone down for help)… Now I cant remember her name, but she has brown hair, olive toned skin, and is the only one I ever see smiling. She’s helpful, actually does her job, and is kind.
To the manager- I’ve talked to you on the phone & know you’re a smart, level headed person. In my opinion, I think it’s time to start rethinking who you have working up front with customers. Jojo may be better suited for stocking if she doesn’t want to actually help us at the register. If something doesn’t change, me and my family will start shopping elsewhere.
Last note- yalls produce is often covered in mold and gnats..and the freezer temps are often incorrect/defrosted to the point that puddles of water form on the ground with no wet floor sign in sight.
I hope to see some changes in the near future.
I don’t usually shop at this location anymore but I dropped in today to pick a few things up. The store has been somewhat updated but there were a lot of flies and a really bad smell near produce and the deli. I went to self checkout and the self checkout lady had to have been the RUDEST person I have encountered in a while. I didn’t notice that the kiosk I was on only accepted card and no cash back. Ironically I needed cash back and it gave me the option. This lady first tried to act like she didn’t notice my kisok was waiting for her assistance even though she was right beside then she proceed to mouth off to me about what this kisok does and I should not have selected cash back. I even tried to save her some time and asked her to give me the cash out receipt and I can take it to customer service because I was going there anyway. She was so determined to be miserable she couldn’t even hear what I was trying to say to her and still managed to be rude. I don’t disrespect elders but she asked for it today. The crazy part she was way to comfortable acting the way she did which shows this isn’t her first time doing this. She was wrong but I am more disappointed in the leadership that allows her to treat customers this way. I wont be supporting this store any longer and will happily make the trip to anywhere else before I came back in here.
