- Reviews:My issues was resolved and the gentlemen who came out were very helpful and polite, however…. I originally booked my appointment for a water heater flush. This was me getting a second opinion and the first tech from a different company recommended a flush. It turns out, the drain pipe had broken and needed to be replaced. The first tech was partially right as I could see sediment in the water that was leaking from the unit. The unit has never been flushed, though, so I wanted to repair the drain and flush the unit. The Roto Rooter Tech did advise me that he had never flushed a unit before and did not appear confident that he could do it. I was extremely grateful for his honesty, however, the appointment was booked two weeks out for a water heater flush. Why the company would send someone out who wasn’t experienced with flushing water heaters is questionable. That leaves me footing the bill for someone to come out and flush the unit which is more money for me and that is disappointing. This is not a slight to the gentlemen that came out as I am not sure how jobs are assigned.By Bri H (5 months ago)We experienced a broken pipe around 4 pm on a Saturday. We called a few places that claimed to be 24 hour plumbing services, but only a message could be left. With Roto-rooter, there was an option to press a number for emergencies that routes to a live operator. Within about 15-20 minutes of placing the call, Cullen was at our home. He was able to quickly find the leaks (more than what we originally thought) and repair them. He was very professional, and we are very pleased with the work and the warranty as well. - Reviews:One thing that most homeowners hate is when they have a problem that they are not able to fix. You worry about whether or not if you call someone if they will charge you an arm and a leg. The Drain Surgeon did done of that. I call them yesterday they can out on today. Mallory (the person that sat up the appointment) was very helpful and professional. She was willing and capable of answering any questions that I had. The technician that was assigned to me was amazing. He was in and out in under five minutes, but not before taking a look at my sink (which was not apart of the assignment) and provided me with the name of the product that he uses to unclog his sink. This will definitely be my go to company for all of my plumbing needs.By Hope Grant (2 months ago)If you have septic tank issues, you need to call The Drain Surgeon! Originally, we had Williams Sewer & Drain Inc. pump our tank (sewage coming up our shower drain, toilets not flushing). But, they didn’t investigate further when water came rushing into our tank after it was pumped. When we started having toilet issues again, they told us on the phone that we’d need to pay them around $1k to perform a service that may or may not fix the problem. I called The Drain Surgeon, and they worked with the local health department to identify our issue. They came out, discovered our sewage pump wasn’t working properly, and we have our problem solved! That fix was under $100. The Drain Surgeon literally saved me hundreds, if not thousands of dollars. I highly recommend this company for your septic tank needs.By Amberlee Prescott (5 months ago)I have used this company in the past for minor plumbing issues, cleaning out my french drain, and running a new dryer line. They did a great job with this. However, this is where it ends. I have drainage issues in my backyard. I have standing water around my patio. They said they could fix it. They brought a Bobcat digger and began laying pipes and drains. Did some damage to my yard including chipping my newly extended patio but I thought this is ok but not ok if it fixes the problem. My yard is now worse than it has ever been. I have 3 large ponds of standing water when it rains. The basin drains are not low enough for the water to drain in. They also didn’t put enough drains around my patio. I have 2 black pipes standing up in my backyard that serve no purpose and that is not what I was originally told I would have. It is very tacky. I now have water overflowing over my retaining wall; an issue I did not previously have. Also a number of other issues I have reached out to this company several times with empty promises they will make this right. I have sent them videos while it was raining to show them the damage. I paid them $4875 for more problems than I had initially. This has by far been the worst experience I have ever had and the costliest. I definitely DO NOT RECOMMEND them.By Google User (2 months ago)I feel so taken advantage of by this company. I have had them come out 3 times to clean a clogged septic line. The first time I had great service. The second time I was told the technician would be here between 11:00am – 1:00pm and he did not arrive until 6:30. I was given the run around all day just for them to text he would be there soon… not sure what their definition of soon is but 5 hours late sure isn’t mine. The part that threw me over the edge was this last time they came out with a camera and they would not show me any of their findings. Not only did they quote me nearly $4,500 to replace around 30 feet of pipe but all of this could’ve been avoided! I called the city after being told by another plumber that this may be something the city can resolve because the blockage was up by the street. I would have paid $4,500 to have this same problem occur again and again. The city was able to come out and resolve it within 15 minutes. The city took dozens of picture and videos to show me exactly what the issue was and how they were able to resolve it. I had a really good experience with Universal. They were able to come out the next day and they fixed my issue in under an hour. I was worried because I had no idea what to expect, but my technician was professional, courteous and extremely knowledgeable. He took the time to explain my issue and offered me pointers for prevention moving forward. Top notch experience.
Nick was very professional. I was notified when he was in route and he arrived at the exact expected time. He quickly diagnosed the issue and solved the issue in record time. He provided detailed instructions and how to check for any issues with the job he completed. He answered all questions and maintained a professional conduct in his work

My very dear friend recommended this company. I have always done my own plumbing, but this was a very confined place in the crawl space. I was scheduled the next day in the afternoon and was pleasantly surprised to get a call for around 11am asking if he could come early. David is a great representative for this company. Johnny and his assistant were professional and personable. They quickly found the leak due to the pipe freeze & crack and repaired it. They went into the drywall to do the repair and then gave me tips on re-installing the drywall after they had finished the job. Even the initial call I left on the voicemail the day after Christmas was quickly returned. I definitely recommend Universal for plumbing needs.
James W and his helper were awesome! I like the fact that Universal Plumbing sends a text with the techs picture and some background on them. James called and told me they were on the way and when they got here, they were non stop until the problem was corrected. Told me everything they were going to do and were very friendly and very professional. Even brought in 2 big boxes that were delivered to my door!! I will definitely call Universal for all my plumbing needs and highly recommend them…solid 10/10. Keep up the good work!
