I made my boyfriend an appointment over a month ago, have his insurance information, was told they were in network and all was good. Have received several reminder calls including one today for his appointment in 2 days. Then he gets a call after the reminder call saying they don’t take his insurance!! Really?? Shouldnt this have been verified, and wasn’t this verified the day I gave the information and was told it was indeed accepted and in network?? Apparently not, find out 2 days before the appointment after waiting over a month for this appointment, very unprofessional! Someone dropped the ball and also lied to me over the phone when I gave the information! Don’t take their word for it and wait over a month for an appointment, lesson learned!!a month agoTruly the nicest staff. a week agoGiving two stars only because everyone was nice but the moment the actual dentist found out that my daughter has autism they automatically refused to see her and just gave me a referral to another dentist. The dentist didn’t even come into the nook where we were placed to even see her. I let them know while scheduling the appointment that she had autism and she may act out a little; instead of waiting until after an hour drive and waiting there for over an hour to let us know they wouldn’t work on her they should’ve just let me know when I was making the appointment to begin with.a month agoI saw Dr. Shaihk on 6/23/23 (after maybe a 5 min. wait time) and found who will be my dentist. I had been seen there in the past for the same issue as today (was told no cavities, just sensitive teeth) but Dr. Shaihk found the real issue. He really knows his stuff! Now my problem will actually be fixed. He was very gentle and easy to understand. Then I had a dental cleaning with the hygienist (can’t remember her name but it starts with a U – sorry!), who was also very kind and gentle. We had a wonderful conversation as well. Everyone there was courteous and professional and should be acknowledged as such, not judged by their appearance.3 weeks agoNot sure about this place. I went today and they definitely overbook the appointments. The dentist asked me if I had pain or sensitivity after they took x-rays and I said, “no.” They cleaned my teeth super fast, but the dentist never came back and they told me I was good to go. He never looked at my teeth.2 months agoFront desk girls and dental assistants were very nice and helpful! Dentist was not happy I chose a filling over a root canal and I felt was very rude and rough with me after saying no. Told me to come back in 7-10 days to see how my tooth is and he would make the final decision on what we do. I won’t be going back, not after the way he treated me.a month agoFirst time here, called ahead and specifically asked if they have an oral surgeon who can do wisdom teeth extractions. They said yes, depending on how complicated it is. So I scheduled my appointment, and let them know I would be driving about 2 hours to get there. When I got there, they take me to the back and after a couple minutes tell me that they don’t have an oral surgeon and they don’t do wisdom teeth extractions. Then they blame it on their call center, so why don’t they know what services you actually offer?? Complete waste of my time.

I have an irrational phobia of going to the dentist, and I was extremely anxious about my first appointment since I hadn’t been to the dentist for many years. From the minute I walked into Bloomington Modern Dentistry, I was treated with care and concern. The hygienist could not have been more reassuring and gentle, and she allayed my fears greatly. When I met Dr. Baker for his part of the exam, I was immediately put at ease by his compassion and understanding. He was able to squeeze a procedure in that day which meant I didn’t have to worry for several weeks about coming back to have it done. I cannot emphasize enough how wonderful Dr Baker and his whole staff were. Their amazing treatment of me took such a load of anxiety off my heart, and I can truthfully say I look forward to going back! If you are fearful like I was, call them today! I guarantee you won’t be sorry you did! ❤️
