2 weeks agoI just had one tooth pulled today, and I have to say it wasn’t as expected. The gentlemen that took my panoramic and assisted in the surgery room was amazing (5 stars) But the young lady with the braids had a serious attitude that wasn’t welcoming at all. As a matter of fact she heightened my anxiety. Zero customer service from her. I was a difficult patient but thankfully the other young lady in the room was great. I would really like to speak to the Manager.3 months agoI had my 4 wisdom teeth removed here and I would recommend them. Other reviews are right about the wait time, I was took in one hour after my appointment time. But the staff was nice, helpful and caring actually, they made me really comfortable. The Dr answered all my questions before hand. I did pay extra for the gas, and despite what another review said, the laughing gas it’s not supposed to make you sleep, it’s supposed to make you relax and that’s all. I didn’t feel any of the eight needles I had to take and I was completely numb when the procedure stared. My bottom teeth were sideways, so it had to be broken in order to come out, which was something that the Dr told me before and I knew that was the procedure for this type of teeth, again, despite what other reviews have said. It was so fast! And I felt some discomfort, but very little compared to what I expected. I actually didn’t believe it was over that fast. I got sick once the gas left my system, ended up trowing up and again, the staff was nice.The reason I am knocking one star off is because my prescription was only filled on the next day. So when I got home and the anesthesia stared to wear off I felt a lot of pain and I went to the emergency room to get a prescription. So that’s fine, but I’ll rate this experience 4 stars only because of that.
But I would recommend this place and would get this procedure done here again if I had to.
a month agoI have a dental emergency. I had an appointment to get it taken care of on 7/11/23 and they canceled on me the day before! They rescheduled my DENTAL SURGERY for 6 weeks out!!! They didn’t give a very good read to why.3 months agoStaff was great! My appointment went quickly and staff was very professional and welcoming. 2 weeks agoIt was my first appointment at Chestnut Square Dental. I had one of the best thorough check-ups ; X-rays, teeth and gum evaluation, cleaning, fluoride treatment and some minor repair to a couple of teeth. All work was done in just a little over an hour. Dr Renfer, Bernie (Dental Assistant),and Julie (Hygienist). Very professional, detailed and caring. Lisa and Irene (office staff) were very polite and they explained the billing, insurance coverage and set me up for future appointments. Thank you Chestnut Square Dental for a great dental appointment experience.a week agoAlways accommodating the patient’s need. In addition, Dr. Renfer is a superb dentist with fantastic sense of humor as well as caring tremendously for his patientd2 months agoExtremely rude front desk employee by the name of Lisa took my call. She was curt and short with me during my preliminary questions about the practice. I got tired of the attitude I was receiving from her, so I decided to end the conversation and avoid this location.It’s a shame since the other reviews seem so positive. At the end of the day, first impressions are especially important when trying to decide on a dental care provider and this single employee gave enough of a bad taste in my mouth for me to choose to go elsewhere.
Chestnut Square Dental – consider providing this individual some training in customer service because she sounded unpleasant and was very standoffish. Not qualities you’d want to see in a dental office setting. 👎
2 months agoI am not the type to write reviews regardless of service but this place disappointed me and made me waste months of time to get Orthodontic treatment. First off, my bad experience was not with the dentist or orthodontist but rather with the employees that deal with the insurance. I attempted to start the Invisalign process late January 2023.I was told they would deal with my insurance after the initial consultation. After like 6 weeks of not hearing back from them to make an appt to continue the process I call them back and I am told that the orthodontist has been out of town so they haven’t started the insurance process but that they would get on it ASAP and will give me a call back to continue the process.
Another 6 weeks go by, and by this time it is Mid march, and I still don’t hear back. I give them a call and they tell me that my insurance was being difficult and not giving a direct answer on weather I’m covered or not for Invisalign. They then asked if I could talk to my insurance on their behalf.
So I do; within 5 minutes my insurance confirmed they DO cover me and that the orthodontic employees could have obtained the same information if they tried a little harder and asked to speak to the department I talked to. My insurance told me that I am good to go and to tell my orthodontic provider to reach out to them to begin the pre-treatment approval. So I call Chestnut Square Dental back and tell them this and they say “ok we’ll start the process and give you a call back to make an appt to begin the treatment”.
It has now been like 2 months and I HAVEN’T heard back yet. At one point I felt like i was begging them to provide their service by continuing to call them. So instead of calling them I gave up on them providing service to me and went to another provider. At this new provider; they were able to begin treatment within the month. If they didn’t want to provide service; I wish they were honest and just tell me that.
I only regret not seeking treatment elsewhere sooner. They made me waste months of time. Do not recommend. Seems like the insurance coordinator does not know how to do her job or is lazy at doing her job.
3 months agoI have been going here since the 1990s. The dentists are the best and very gentle. The hygienist are thorough and gentle. The customer service is awesome. And all the staff is excellent as well.

I have always been afraid of the dentist hurting me, I’m 33 and never had any cavities or teeth removed. This past weekend we filled cavities and deep cleaned and pulled a wisdom tooth. Let me tell you I sure didn’t feel a thing when that tooth came out. I was done quick! The healing after so far I’m on day 3 and never swollen a little sore.. This was the best experience I have ever had. I highly recommend Dr Dokko for any of your dentistry things. I was recommend to this place by a good friend who takes her child here. Dr. Dokko and his staff are top notch! Brighter Day Dental is the only place I trust with all my dental needs. I first went to them after an emergency (cracked tooth), and thanks to their extended hours, they were able to help me right away. Besides the wonderful and friendly staff, they have the latest and greatest high tech tools to make your experience easier and less invasive. I really appreciate this, because it eases my nerves (and fears, let’s be honest), plus it’s totally cool to see how it all works! Dr. Dokko is the only dentist I trust!

Great experience! Had the exam and cleaning done today. Everyone from the receptionist to the X-ray tech to the doctor to the hygienist were friendly and attentive.
