My experience was fantastic, they staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful. The dental assistant was gentle and thorough and gave me a deep painless cleaning . Doctor Young was honest and direct while maintaining a comfortable, soothing bedside manner. I had avoided dentists in my past but my experience here has changed that going forward. Also the young woman handling billing was extremely helpful, breaking down my future treatment and helping me understand exactly what my financial responsibilities would be going forward . 10/10 experience from booking the appointment to walking out the door.

This was easily the best dental experience I have had in my life! It is a very warm and friendly environment, and I could tell that they really cared about their patients. Everything was thoroughly explained to me and they took their time to make sure I felt comfortable and safe. This is the first time I’ve ever had a painless dental experience and I am so relieved to have found them!

I am a nervous wreck when it comes to the dentist. I’ve been going to this office for years and have never had a bad experience. The office staff is so friendly, the hygienists and assistants are caring and gentle, and most importantly they are all kind and understanding of my phobia. The dentist is great as well!! My comfort is their number one concern when I’m sitting in the chair, and coming from someone who requires nitrous to get a simple cleaning, that is priceless! They also take the time to thoroughly explain everything about whatever work I may need to have done and make time for any questions I have. I highly recommend this office!

I’ve been to many different dentists, mainly because I have a hard time feeling comfortable at most places. My first day in this office I kicked my feet up and relaxed. The staff are kind and accommodating. The doctor is professional but compassionate, which I feel most doctors have one or the other and not both. My teeth were in bad shape when I came into this office and they never made me feel insecure/guilty/gross etc; I would strongly recommend this office to anyone

I’ve been here multiple times for readjustments and they STILL can’t get my dentures to fit and work properly. Every time I go in, I feel like I’m being rushed to get out. They don’t want to take the time to truly understand my issues with my dentures. The only reason I gave 2 stars is for the remainder of the staff who are very kind, other than that, I would’ve gave NO stars. I DO NOT recommend this place.

Update:

Very poor craftsmanship!!! I have had these dentures, maybe 5 months. Went to a restaurant with my family and the result is in the photos. I am completely UNSATISFIED with this place and their craftsmanship of their supposed best dentures.

The staff was very nice and professional. Everyone reassured me it was okay and helped me calmed down. They made the process extremely easy! I needed to have a root canal and prepare for crowns, it was painless and stress free! Absolutely recommend!!

Personnel very nice. Cost totally unespected. I don’t do loans and my insurance assured me I could afford a total transformation with my benefits. Seven thousand dollars for dental without implants is too much.

VERY NICE. Too busy. Tries to sell you everything. Tries to recharge you even you’ve put everything on a card. The two fillings he did for me have random pain & the permanent cap too. The permanent cap fell out while eating a Cali roll. When I went back to get the cap put back on, I waited over an hour in the waiting room to be seen for 7 min. The WORST PART. The tooth I went for MAINLY, was NEVER touched. The appointment disappeared twice. I called to ask when the appointment was, they said there wasn’t one @ they couldn’t see me until Sept. it was July. They promised to get me in sooner if they could bc I told them it was starting to hurt more. Wellllll my gf ended up needed if another appointment & they got her in BEFORE me. Never called me to get me in sooner. Still have not gone back bc when I called to reschedule a 3rd time, they wanted to recharge me. They said they had refunded my card for not doing my tooth. SO you cancelled my appointment twice ( they have no record of it) (even tho I have it noted on the plan me n Justin made together) AND refunded. That’s cool to get the money but I don’t know why it was cancelled and refunded and then try to charge me again. The workers are seriously the sweetest but everyone is so busy they can’t accurately accommodate patients. I know plenty of people w the same experience. Just wish I woulda known before hand

My son has been waiting almost a year for permanent partials. After many trips for cleanings, etc., and mega money paid, he had an appointment today to get them. Many reminders were sent to confirm appointment, which we confirmed. He drives their from almost Clay County and they tell him the teeth are not in and they don’t know when they they will be!!! Calling the AG!!!

I was very nervous to go in for my appointment today because of bad experiences with past Dentist.
All that worrying was for absolutely nothing. I have never been so comfortable with a Dentist, ever. The entire staff is AMAZING! LOVE them all!
I live in Kentucky and will gladly drive the hour and 15 minutes to their office. I am actually looking forward to my next visit. 🙂

From the first call I made to them, the staff was very friendly, accommodating, and professional. Dr. Christen and her assistant were both amazing at what they do. They took the time to talk with me, gave excellent care, and had great chairside manner. The hygienist that worked on my husband was by far the most thorough he has had yet. We are very happy to have them as our new dental office.

I’ve never been one to leave a google review, but I feel that this dental office deserves all the stars you can give them. Dr Mark is by far the best dentist I’ve ever been to. My teeth have always been something that I’ve been embarrassed about, and I’ve had other dentists be rude or crack jokes about my teeth. But here, EVERY SINGLE person, from receptionist to dentist, has treated me with kindness, respect, and understanding. I live over an hour away from the Charleston area, but I gladly drive the distance for my appointments because no other office even compares to this one.

I have had a wonderful experience with Simpson Dental. I have had some trauma to the front of my mouth in my life, and I have a bit of PTSD because of it. They are more than accommodating in helping me to get through procedures with ease. They truly go above and beyond for their patients and are extremely friendly and compassionate. Pro: Very easy, no stress, all procedures went well. Dr. Christina, friendly, explains all procedures and needs. Hygienist was the most though and took the most care of any hygienist I have had. This practice is a 10!
Con: It is very stressful that you have to pay up front, before procedures. Insurance not billed. Fees are high in comparison of previous Dentist now retired in the area. I am on a limited income. Unable to work. No retirement. Not eligible for Medicare until my husband retires. I pay monthly for Dental Insurance. I have many other medical bills that I pay monthly payments.

I had the pleasure of getting a dental cleaning here after not having one for 2 yrs with braces. The staff is beyond friendly and very welcoming. They kept an eye on my newborn son while I got cleaned up. He was very relaxed and enjoyed the attention. I really appreciated all the help. The dentist was thorough, and he took the time to give me some recommendations on great places to visit in the area. I just moved here from out-of-state, so it really meant a lot. My first experience at Howard & Howard was fantastic. Dental appointments typically cause me anxiety but Julia (my dental hygienist) put me at ease. She explained what she was doing and why and identified areas of potential concern. Best of all, the dental cleaning was far more sensitive than what I was used to. Dr. Stump was great also. He thoroughly explained his recommendations for me in a way that made me very comfortable relying on his opinions. Thank you for making the dental experience less foreboding!

20 + years ago We moved to Charleston and had not established Doctors, Dentists etc. yet.
A few months after moving here I broke my front tooth. I woke up and it was half gone.
I called a friend of mine frantic because I couldn’t walk around like that. She recommended Dental Assoc and I have been a patient ever since that day.
I wouldn’t go anywhere else. They have come in on days off for emergencies for us. I have never had a dentist do that before.
Everyone at Dental Associates treats you like family. They remember your family members names and ask about them each time I visit.

I went to Dr Paterno for the first time, had to have a tooth extracted. The staff were very friendly and Dr Paterno very caring, explaining everything to me what the procedure would be step by step. The receptionist at front desk is amazing. She represents the office so we’ll, friendly and lets a person know you are welcome.
