Dr. Raiji is such a joy and has a wonderful bedside manner. Was so easy to book her as a new patient and all of my return visit have been pleasant. Staff are polite and attentive. They are professional but discussing diagnoses and treatments are casual and unfussy. I highly recommend this place.By Rachel Johns (8 months ago)I was very nervous before going in to my appointment because of the symptoms that I was having. But all the fears & apprehensions that I was experiencing were for naught. This visit was wonderful! I had a very good experience from beginning to end and I would recommend this office to anyone. The entire staff was very kind, polite, and very professional. Thank you!By Cynthia Jay (a year ago)I’ve had Type 1 diabetes for 56 years and currently am treated by Dr Merrill. I cannot say enough good things about her and the clinic, both good people and efficient processes. Dr Merrill’s cutting edge knowledge and skills are excellent. You will not be disappointed!By Darold Barnum (3 years ago)Dr. Merrell and that staff at Illinois Retina at Rush Oak Park, are some of the finniest Doctors, nurses and staff, I have ever been involved with, they are professional, answer any and all questions, and are truly concerned about the patient.
I have been receiving treatments at the office for over a year, with great results, I have recommended Dr. Merrell, and will continue to do so, she is, as far as I am concerned, one or the best in her field. The staff that supports Dr. Merrell is outstanding, from setting appointments, insurance help, and the overall running of the office. Thank you all so much!!By Jeff Mertitt (3 years ago)After seeing four eye doctors, I scheduled an appointment with Dr. Veena Raiji at Illinois Retina Association in Oak Park. From the receptionist to Denise (who did the initial exam) to Dr Raiji, everyone I met was friendly, professional, and full of positive energy. I hope every doctor’s office I visit in the future will be similar to this one.By K.B Gebka (a year ago)

MyEyeDr. In Oak Park is a wonderful place. From the time you walk in the door to the time you leave the team is focused on helping you with your eye care needs. The whole team makes you feel like you matter, but Myrna, went above and beyond. She gave me the information I needed to know, and she helped me navigate through my insurance process. I really appreciate her kindness, And they also have plenty of nice frames to choose from. I have told plenty of my friends and family about my great experience visiting MyEyeDr.By L L (a month ago)Ebony, Sam, and Dr. Paul all made my experience today very enjoyable. Only took about 30 minutes to get my eyes checked out. Very quick and efficient process. I appreciate how kind everyone was and especially the effort Ebony and Dr. Paul put in to make me comfortable since I tend to be a bit jumpy at eye doctor appointments.
Thanks again y’all! 🙏🏾
By Briana Nelson (4 months ago)loved this place and location. Purchased $500 reading glasses last year. Walked into today to adjust them and see if they could remove a minor scratch. Purchased insurance. Was told no because the coverage expired 40 days ago, and that was all. no lets find a solution. All they said was they could re-bill insurance. That’s not service, that insurance billing with no regard or care for customer. Will not return. just because you called me doesn’t resolve the issue or function as customer service. I was in essence told twice you only care for the insurance $$ vs customer satisfactionBy Christiaan Van Der Put (2 months ago)The first time I came in for my eye exam everyone was amazing. I then called because I had a question about how my prescription changed. I spoke with Myrna who said she’d have the Dr call me back the next day, or she would. My phone never rang and I never got a voicemail, so I followed up via email, and then called the following Monday. The man who picked up quickly and nicely answered my question about my prescription, and then later that day i went in to pick up my glasses.A woman comes walking up to me after I was seated, shaking papers at me saying “I called you! I called you two times and so did the doctor and we left messages!!” She didn’t bother to introduce herself so I had no idea who she was until I was able to see her name tag. I said “I believe you, but I didnt get any calls or messages” I even let her look at my voicemails. She kept saying “well I called you I did I called!” She seemed so angry. I never called her a liar, and all the times I followed up I never blamed her. I was just trying to get a simple question answered. I couldn’t even focus on if my new glasses felt good or if the new prescription felt right, I was so shaken up and blindsided by this confrontation. I eventually interrupted her to say “I believe you, I’m not being hostile, I already had my question answered” and only then did she stop, asked me how my glasses fit and if I had any questions.
I am so disappointed by this interaction, I don’t feel comfortable walking in here any more.
By Larissa Franklin (4 months ago)This is a good eye clinic. The Dr. was friendly, respectful and knowledgeable. Easy street parking. Nice selection of glasses and good offers on name brands. The receptionist had all of the insurance paperwork ready and verified, which was great but she was a bit cold. No welcoming vibes from her and the woman who is fitting the glasses was a bit pushy. Other than that. We love our glasses.By Mari (9 months ago)

The staff and the optometrist were very friendly and professional. When it was suggested that I could develop glaucoma, I was referred to their facility in Westmont, Il to have a comprehensive scan of my optic nerves. When I arrived home frim that visit, my optometrist called me with the results that everything was fine and I likely would NOT develop glaucoma. I appreciated her honesty and timeliness and that I wasn’t conned into multiple visits or treatments.
Dr. Riccardi is a wonderful doctor and an even better person. She went above and beyond in helping me and was tremendous to deal with every step of the way. I will come back her becuase of Dr. Riccardi and my experience with her.
Such lovely staff members. I had such a wonderful experience for it being my first time finding I needed glasses in 42 yrs. of age. The professional attitude and bright spirit of Dr. Riccardo brought my experience such comfort this place has earned my trust and gratuity.
What a terrible experience!
It all started with an appointment that took me 40 minutes to book, although I called a month a half before the appointment date! The man on the other side of the phone claimed he was a new employee, so he was just learning how to schedule an appointment. I was patient at the time since I noticed he had to ask several questions.
The day of my appointment, I walked into this s location on time and a woman told me there was no appointment for me on that date or at that location. I gave the employee all the details of the 40 minutes call, and when she asked who took my information, I said it was a man who claimed to be new, and she looked to the guy next to her and asked me to wait. She was able to schedule a time for me to see the doctor 30 minutes later. I wasn’t happy about that since I made arrangements at work for this appointment, but I was thankful they found a solution.
Once I saw the doctor, she went through the regular eye exam procedure. But once she finished, she didn’t provide any information on how the exam went or if there Was anything to be concerned about. It wasn’t until I asked that she gave details of how everything went. After all that, I decided to move on from the savored beginning of the moment and chose a new pair of glasses. Once I picked them up, they were not the ones I chose! The whole experience was a disaster. Employees are not trained on how to deal with conflicts or how to provide feedback among each other.
I asked for a refund and started searching a new place to get new glasses.
I was pleased with my glasses, however, now that my glasses are broken and they’re now only open 1 day a week at the same time that I’m at work, I have the choice of taking off work to get my glasses repaired or going to another location which is too far for me to travel.
