  1. Quickly taken from waiting room to be seen and that was great. They dental hygienist was very thorough and professional. Great cleaning. My only issue is the technician taking the X-rays of my teeth was VERY new and trying her best to do things on her own but she definitely should have had someone assisting her until she is comfortable and confident enough to do it on her own. The dentist was very informative and professional did a great job filling in a cracked old filling. Only thing I did not like was the surprise of a $40 copay after the procedure was already completed. I would have had it done anyway but being told after the fact did not feel right. I would recommend this office.

  2. From yelp: It was my first filling today here! I relayed my concern as I am afraid of the dentist, mind you not the doctor but rather the work that it entitles. I don’t trust anyone with my teeth. And well the ladies are very understanding and patient with the clients, including me! Both doctors were very descriptive about the work I needed done and I fully understood which the dentist I was previously at, I understood nothing. I am so glad to have found them through google. I don’t care how long I have to wait even past my appointment but if I am going to get the care of dedication than of course I will be returning here! I totally recommend it! I will review once again once all my other teeth work are done! Thank you doctors and assistants!

NEW REVIEW: this is my second appointment which was still nerve wreaking to me but still great. Took care of me and was still gentle with me. Doctor has a great hand. Can’t wait for my next 2 appointments! 🙌🏻

    Wisdom teeth removal appointment 3:

Just got my 4 wisdom teeth removed and definitely lessened my fear of dentist. They did a quick job which took about 30 minutes or even less. This is what you call a real dentist when they seek to keep you comfortable and remove the true cause of pain ! Thank you once again. Now to get back to my recuperation.

  3. I happen to come across this dentist office because my bf came here and said he had a good experience. So, he gave me their number and I called to make an appointment. The appointment process was easy, I spoke to the receptionist by the name of Luis. He was so nice and mild mannered. Something about his voice was comforting and welcoming. I say that because I’m sure a lot people could agree with me, the dentist is not everyone’s favorite place to be. I came in for my appointment and was greeted by Luis, still got the same welcoming presence. I was taken to the back to get X-rays and had a discussion with Dr Kim. He told me what concerns and what areas needed attention. He also advised me on what he thought was the best fit for me. I always felt uncomfortable about my oral situation but I knew the longer I waited, the issue could get worse. So, I went along with the plans he had set for me. He made sure to get everything done and fixed in a reasonable amount of time. He also addressed all my questions and concerns. Dr. Kim is very honest and realistic on the decisions he makes so I appreciated him for that. He’s a good doctor and I wish more doctors were more like him. My experience as an adult visiting the dentist was superb. They always took me in on time when I got there, I never had to wait around. It felt like the employees were one big happy family there, they all worked so well as a group. Like you never felt like someone was off their game. Claudia was also amazing when she came to consult with me, very thorough and I also felt comfortable talking to her. I would definitely recommend this office to my friends and family. I’ve been to other dentist office and it’s either they’re behind on schedule or the front desk wasn’t nice and if they were, they were fake with you. I never felt that way at Atlas. Thanks Atlas for making my appointments comfortable and easy to be at.

  4. I’m sorry but I definitely give this facility a 1 star. Endodontist if very friendly and I highly recommend him but the staff falls very short on customer service. Front guys are the best in customer service. Be ware of the women in charged of requesting authorization. So upset on the way they handle my situation. My opinion, front desk women need to be replaced. Spoke to dentist and assure me to take care of me and then a few days later receive a call from staff I charge of authorization telling me Dr no longer doing crowns. Really!!!! Will also report this facility with Dentist Board.

  5. Wonderful location! Super fast, very professional, I’m super pleased! I was so scared before my visit, and the dentist was so kind. He answered all of my questions and made the treatment super painless. Quick appointments and quick action on the treatment. I was in a bad way, and they fixed me up same visit. Would recomend this location to everyone! 😉

Essential Dental Procedures in El Monte CA

Dental health plays a pivotal role in our overall well-being. Routine dental check-ups not only ensure the health of our teeth and gums but can also prevent a variety of potential health complications. Here, we delve into some of the most common dental procedures that individuals may encounter in their journey to maintain optimal oral health.

1. Cleanings:

  • What it involves: This is perhaps the most routine of all dental procedures. A dental cleaning involves the removal of plaque and tartar that accumulate on the teeth over time. The dentist or dental hygienist uses specialized instruments to gently clean the teeth and gums, followed by polishing the teeth.
  • Why it’s done: Regular cleanings prevent cavities, gum disease, and other dental complications. They also provide the dentist an opportunity to examine the mouth for signs of other issues, such as oral cancer or tooth grinding.

2. Fillings:

  • What it involves: A filling is used to restore a tooth damaged by decay back to its normal function and shape. The dentist first removes the decayed tooth material, cleans the affected area, and then fills the cleaned-out cavity with a filling material. This material can be gold, porcelain, a composite resin, or an amalgam (an alloy of mercury, silver, copper, and sometimes tin).
  • Why it’s done: Fillings are essential to treat cavities and prevent further decay. Without a filling, bacteria can enter the tooth, leading to more serious infections and complications.

3. Extractions:

  • What it involves: An extraction is the complete removal of a tooth. It can be done using local anesthesia to numb the area around the tooth, ensuring the patient feels no pain during the procedure. The dentist then uses special tools to loosen and remove the tooth. In some cases, a more involved procedure may be necessary if the tooth is impacted (not fully erupted into the mouth), which is often the case with wisdom teeth.
  • Why it’s done: Extractions are performed for various reasons. A tooth may be too damaged or decayed to save, or there might be too many teeth in the mouth, causing crowding. Additionally, some diseases or treatments (like chemotherapy or an organ transplant) might require a compromised tooth to be removed to ensure the patient’s overall health.

In Conclusion

While dental procedures might seem daunting, they are essential for maintaining oral and overall health. Modern dentistry has made these procedures relatively painless and often quick. It’s crucial to have regular check-ups to identify potential issues early and address them, ensuring a bright and healthy smile for years to come.

My appointment was for 12, didn’t get seen until 1:50. This was my 3rd time after my first initial appointment in October 2022 after trying 3 times to get seen, but was constantly told I had no insurance when that was not the case. After over an hour, they finally found that their information was incorrect so I waited really long for no reason. Horrible communication, tried calling before so this wouldn’t happen but was put on hold 6 times, all resulting of a hang up saying no one could help me. They do not answer but when I was sitting in the office for over an hour, I never saw them pick up the phone, so either they are ignoring calls and just sitting around or I don’t even know. Would give a 0 stars if I could. Only good thing is the dentist I had. When I told him the service issues, he laughed and understood. Was very friendly and very descriptive. Overall, I had a horrible experience and never recommend this office. Not coming back and finding a new dentist for my appointment in 6 months.

My name is Alina Serna and I got my braces removed after 1 1/2 years and very happy with my results! My orthodontist, Ulan M, did a very amazing job with the x-ray and removal process of my braces! I felt comfortable and happy with the entire thing. I recommend him for your next dentist visit!

I called for an emergency appointment and the girl on the phone told me there wouldn’t be any availability until the next day at 4pm. I come in at 4pm and all the front desk staff are confused and can’t find me in the system. They said they wouldn’t be able to see me at the time so I had to reschedule for a week later even though it was an “emergency.” Waste of time. Calling the office is also a mess since it takes you to the main Western Dental phone with redirections to specific offices. I tried to switch offices, but I was told I would need a referral from this office first.

Careful with Alicia she lies about gum disease to get you to sign a contract and put you on antibiotics I visited another dentist and he said I have no gum disease while this Alicia girl isn’t even the dentist she’s just at the desk and making appointments. The fat bald dental assistant there isn’t very professional he kept hurting my tongue with that suction hose yet water kept splashing on my face even though he was hurting my tongue he still let water splash me. The female dental assistants are much more gentle the fat bald guy.

Just got done with my teeth whitening at Angel Dental. And it was amazing. Carrie my doctor was incredibly patient and supportive.

I was so nervous but her bed-side manner was very comforting. Went by so quick and easy and the results look great. Totally recommend!

Brenda at the front desk was accommodating and answered all my questions when I called over the phone. She’s the best!

Will certainly be back for all my need.

    Thanks, Angel Dental Care!

I got a treatment done here at Angel Dental for a root canal on August 3rd, 2023. The staff workers here are friendly and welcoming. They did a procedure on one of my tooth molars, the procedure on my tooth was fast and painless. I recommend coming here to this Dentist, for your tooth dental needs!

I had a great experience, I was really scared because it had been so long but everyone made me feel so comfortable. Everyone was so friendly! Brenda at the front desk helping me schedule my appointments. Silvia taking to me and assisting the dentist, she was so sweet and comforting! Even the finance lady did a great job at breaking down what my insurance covered and what I would need to pay out of pocket. I will definitely be back.

My favorite dental office! I’ve literally tried so many throughout El Monte over the years and this is the best one! The doctors are extremely knowledgeable! Not only do they perform work on your teeth but, they educate you on the procedure and provide a visual demonstration so you can better understand. This has never been done for me at other locations. Phenomenal job! This shows they truly care about your dental health. Not to mention, the staff are also super friendly and sweet! Double win!
