Before going to Schulze Eye and Surgery center I was near sighted and wore glasses. After my cataract surgery I now have 20/20 vision and no longer need glasses.
I am extremely happy with the results
The staff was very professional and Dr Schulze is the best eye surgeon.
Dr. Schulze has taken care of my mom and sister with problems with pterygium and cataract. Very professional.By Katrina McCormick (7 months ago)The whole experience from the eye exams to the cataracts removal was very easy, non stressful and it was all because of each and every staff member. Everything went smooth and everyone knew exactly what had to be done and everything was done so efficiently. I would definitely recommend Dr. Schulze and his staff to anyone!By Sandra Gault (10 months ago)My surgery went well and it’s a shame my review has to be brought down from 5 stars for Dr. Schulze himself to the 3 I am giving now. I have put up with Dr. Schulze’s office staff, despite continued issues, because Dr. Schulze himself is a great surgeon. I have had bad experiences from the day I tried to schedule my LASIK eye surgery to today, roughly one year after surgery.I had my year check up post surgery scheduled in November and had to reschedule it due to a family emergency. They scheduled me for Christmas week and cancelled on me. Then I showed up for my rescheduled appointment, and learn that it’s not covered in the nearly $5000 I paid out of pocket a year ago because it is “past one year.” The appointment they cancelled on me was within that year and no one so much as reached out to me to inform me that I would have to pay out of pocket or that they would work with me since they are the ones that cancelled.
Please be careful. Dr. Schulze is great, but the front office staff could use some improvement. Ask questions that you may not even think to ask to cover your behind. On a day I was struggling with an intense migraine, it’s definitely not the conversation I wanted to have, and shouldn’t have had to have.
By Paulette Haugh (10 months ago)Dr. Schulze is a master in his field. My eye surgery and recovery went extremely well! I’m thrilled beyond words at how my vision has improved. His staff is top notch. From my first appointment on I felt calm and in good hands.By Patti (a year ago)Dr. Schulze and his team are exceptionally professional and his skill as an eye surgeon is second to none! My cataract removal surgery was perfect. The results were better than I expected and the entire process was easy and painless. I was able to return to work the next day. My vision is now 20/20 in my bad eye.
Overall, I am 100% pleased to have gone to Dr. Schulze for this problem.By Jeff Hull (a year ago)

Let me just say, The Boland Eye Center treats you like family. I’ve become very fond of the entire staff. The Center has gone far beyond expected in making me feel comfortable and at ease with all my eye care, I couldn’t be more happy. They’ve made every accommodation for me, to include dropping medicines off at my home. Now please tell me when in recent time has that happened???? The office is well put together, clean, pleasantly quiet and reserved. The most noise heard in the office is from the patients, to which, I greatly appreciate. I never feel rushed or hurried. I’ve not left feeling as though I wasn’t well informed. I have and I will continue to recommend Boland Eye Center to family and friends, alike.
Thank you Boland Eye Center for your professionalism and dedicated work ethic.
Sincerely,
Agnes G Mitchell
By Agnes Mitchell (a month ago)LOVE Dr Holmes. Been through 2 other eye specialists over 18 months of misery and he has helped me so much more (mostly mentally) in just the first 2 weeks. The tests Boland eye has for determining what type of dry eye you have is fantastic. So happy I stumbled onto this eye center. I finally feel like there is hope for me yet. I know what they are telling me is fact based because I see the test results, and not trial and error like others do. I get in fast and out fast – and still get VIP care. Oh and the lady at checkout is such a sweet heart. Thank you all.By Linda E. (a year ago)I’m happy to say that I have been a very attended to patient of Dr. Boland for over 10 years. He has excellent facilities and he and his staff are very profession in their jobs. I don’t believe that I would ever find a more qualified Ophthalmologist than Dr. Boland. I lived not far outside of Savannah for most of that time and now live in the Macon area, but I will continue to maintain my appointments with Dr. Boland. I recommended two of my best friends to Dr. Boland who were having issues that other Ophthalmologists were unable to correct. They both can see very well now, are happy with their outcomes, and will travel to Dr. Boland’s office as may be needed. I highly Recommend Dr. Boland to anyone needing quality attention with their vision issues.By Madison Mock (a year ago)Dr Boland has been my opthamologist since 1996. His care and ability have been unsurpassed. Overwhelming geography is the only reason I would leave his care. I couldn’t recommend him more highly. Thanks, Ryan.
Frank Pearson.By Frank Pearson (9 months ago)I am very grateful for this eye doctor Dr Holmes
I a year ago had dry eye basically I was using the wrong eye drops from another eye doctor.
My eyes were watering all day everyday.
Dr Holmes put me on fish oil also an eye exercise and a different eye drop with flaxseed in it.
I went back to him a year later and my eyes were perfect.
I am very grateful for him I think he’s an excellent eye doctor.
Also he is very caring compassionate polite and kind. Also handsome!!

My doc made a referral months ago. Finally made my appointment. Here it is and I have been sitting in my car waiting for near 2 hours to be called in. I have a medical condition that prevents me from wearing a mask, they were TOLD this on the phone conversation, and made clear why i cannot wear one when the appointment was being made. Now, I walk in, and it feels like I am being punished because I am physically unable to wear a mask. Why is everyone else loosening and understanding of my condition but this place is not???By Gina H (4 months ago)Venice in the Optical shop took good care of me! And ultimately she handed me the perfect pair of glasses that look great on me. She was so very friendly, patient and didn’t hesitate to answer any questions. She reminded me of what great customer service is like. I felt great walking out.By Keziah Green (8 months ago)This is going to be long. Here are the highlights: My referral was sent over EIGHT MONTHS ago, my appointment was scheduled for super far out, when I got there today, it was canceled and no one told me, turns out they don’t even do what the referral was supposed to be for.
I had a referral sent to this place in August 2021 (eight months ago). I was scheduled for months away (which is annoying but fine). I had to reschedule that appointment which was supposed to be for today. I came into GEI, and turns out “something came up,” and Dr. Bromley had to reschedule all of her patients. This would have been fine, but no one told me. The crazy part is I called them nearly 24 hours before my appointment for today. Someone looked at my file, I told them I was trying to check-in for my appointment for the next day, and they did not bother to tell me my appointment would not be happening. My phone happens to record every phone call, and I was able to play them this recording of me talking to the staff about trying to check-in for this appointment.
They told me my phone number was incorrect in the system. They told me they called me initially in August 2021, I did not pick up, and it went to voicemail. They said they called me again, and my phone number was disconnected. I asked them what number they called and it was the wrong number. How were they able to call me correctly the first time, but they had the wrong number in the system the second time? If they called the wrong number the first time, they would not have been able to get my voicemail. Even with that being the case, I called in yesterday. Someone could have told me then.
They tried to correct the situation by trying to get me rescheduled. My referral was supposed to be for dry eye and ortho-k contacts. Apparently, they were only tracking the dry eye part. One of the office admins went back to talk to a doctor about the contacts. Get this, Dr. Bromley doesn’t even do contacts. The other doctors that will do contacts won’t do ortho-k lenses.
I literally waited eight months for an appointment, never got seen, and was told they couldn’t even help me. Talk about a complete waste of time. This place is a joke.
By Alyssa DeMeo (7 months ago)I was impressed with the care and knowledge they showed during my eye exam. Very friendly staff that made me feel comfortable during my visit.By Wilton Scott (5 months ago)DO NOT GO HERE EVER!!!! They let me out of the office eyes all dilated and let me leave with no eye covering. This was the first time I’ve been to an eye dr. so I didn’t know this can damage your eyes more. Said I have a referral, never got one. AND they will charge you $25 to get a PD # which I didn’t even know I would need. Pretty unprofessional all around. Quoted almost $500 for basic tinting glasses. And that’s the cheap end with insurance. That’s why they won’t put your PD # on the script. Basic greed. Run from this place!!! Front desk staff is kinda rude and seem to me like they don’t enjoyed their jobs very much.Edit: I asked to speak to the office manager. They never called so 🤷🏽♀️

My husband and I have been patients of Dr. Stephanie Croll’s for several years without any problems; however when my husband called to make an appointment last month, it took him 5 days. No one would answer the phone and even though voicemail messages were left, the phone calls were not returned.
I called on July 3rd as I was having severe pain and needed to be seen asap. Left a message. Same thing. No one answering phone or returning my calls. Then I called the next Wednesday and no one answered the phone or returned my messages. Today, Thursday I called and someone actually answered. I politely asked what was going on over there and was not given an answer. She was indifferent and just replied, “Can I help you?” I explained the problem and was told that Dr. Croll couldn’t see me till the end of August. Mind you this was for an urgent appointment request. Finally this person said that another ophthalmologist could see me tomorrow. My husband and I are easygoing folks, not troublemakers. It is unbelievable to me that a Doctors office would treat their patients with such disrespect and neglect!!!By SHARON MCKENRICK (5 months ago)This was my husband and I’s first visit with this Dr. I will say the nurse that took care of the both of us, was fantastic. She explained what she was doing step by step, she was lighthearted, and it went straight downhill when the doctor came in. My eye pressure was considerably high. I’ve never had it checked before and didn’t understand exactly what it meant other than the nurse saying, “glaucoma.” The Dr. rushed in the room, mentioned my pressure being hi. Didn’t explain anything other than me coming back for additional tests for it. I also explained that what brought me to see her was I was having trouble with styes and my eyes always being sore. She told me to get drops. I just felt she was very dismissive. My husband has problems with his left eye being extremely blurry at times. He explained this to the Dr. and she said his eyes were dry. She was in and out of the room with the both of us as patients less than 5 minutes. Not friendly, not professional and definitely not engaged like a doctor should be. We will not be back.By Kelly Smith (4 months ago)A benefit to a patient is a kind and friendly Staff and doctor. To hear some light laughter is also welcomed. The surgery, as for many people is a bit fearful; especially in regards to one’s eyes. Patience and support during the testing procedures was appreciated. So, from the Front Desk to the final words of a patient’s discharge was a TEN.By Thomas Peyton (2 weeks ago)I love Dr Croll. The only issue I have is the wait time to see her. Realize dilating takes time, but wait time is long.
She is the best eye doctor!!!By Mary Anne Street (3 weeks ago)Pre-op for cataract surgery! Quick and easy! Caitlyn is very nice and helpful!By Carleen Culleton (2 weeks ago)

I had an emergency visit since my son lost his glasses , and had another appointment for other child scheduled right after this one so I had to bring siblings to visit. The office staff wasn’t very welcoming nor does the office have a modern/clean feel. Dr.Devaro passively aggressively expressed how he loved the no siblings rule they had during pandemic. My other two were sitting and not being loud at all. Can improve on bedside manner and answering the phone!By Auriel Mitchell (5 months ago)Dr Devaro and his staff are absolutely wonderful. My 16 month old son’s eyes were examined very throughly and I am so appreciative of the time Dr Devaro spent with us. I am sure it is challenging to examine children -especially wiggly toddlers- but Dr Devaro was patient and I could tell he genuinely cared about my son’s vision. The astigmatism was explained to me in great detail and I feel much more at ease after our visit. I think Savannah is extremely fortunate to have such a wonderful pediatric ophthalmologist in our area and would highly recommend this office. The visit was seamless and efficient and the office was so clean. Thank you for seeing us Dr Devaro and team!By Emily B (3 months ago)The customer service that I received from Miss Ashley, while I was scheduling an appointment for my son to come in, was absolutely exceptional. At this point I think my enthusiasm is palpable, and I cannot wait until we come in for our appointment. She was so very polite, and we got through the information part of the call faster than I have with other offices! Thank you Ashley!By kathryn lui (2 months ago)My child has been seeing Dr Devaro for years now and I can finally say I am fed up with his office staff. They are very rude and will constantly cancel your appointments. Their excuse is always they are short staffed . When you call to check on your appointment that they made you, they will tell you , you don’t have one and try to put you off for months. They will even tell you that YOU missed the appointments. !! NO MAM I DID NOT !!!! YOU CANCELLED MY APPOINTMENT. When I ask to speak to the office manager, well guess what. They DON’T HAVE ONE ! No wonder they are so poorly ran. I will NEVER take my child back to this office. I don’t care if I have to drive 500 miles it will be a pleasure to never give this office another dime of my money !!! Run your office better Dr Devaro !!By angie f (4 months ago)We love Dr. Devaro!! We can’t say enough good things about Dr. Devaro and his super friendly staff! Alexis developed juvenile cataracts in both eyes, requiring two cataract surgeries and many, many office visits, and throughout it all, we put our complete faith in Dr. Devaro and his team. They answered every question and performed two very successful surgeries! Dr. Devaro is one of the best in his field! We love him!By Shannon (a year ago)
