  Arrived early, was almost immediately led to the consulting room and interviewed by a caring nurse.
  Seen by Dr Frucht who recognized me and new my history. Evaluated and treated my problem areas … removed a possible skin cancer for biopsy.
  Instructed in wound care and prevention and I was happily on my way.
  Excellent care by talented able doctor. I am always very happy to return to SB Skin care ! Thank you all for a great job!!

  Dr. Frucht has been caring for me for over a year now. I’m very pleased. I’m tough on doctors, always asking questions until I feel they’ve provided me with a real understanding of whatever afflicts me, all possible treatments and outcomes. I’m heavily reliant on docs who are clear, up-to-date on recent medical developments, and (reasonably) personable. Dr. Frucht has all of these attributes. He always patiently answers my questions and explains his diagnosis and other relevant information clearly.

  The surgery went well. I had not met Dr. Singleman until yesterday, but I was very satisfied with her work. Also, Monica, her assistant, was very helpful, informative and provided excellent care–including a blanket when I told her I was cold.

  I normally wouldn’t leave a review like this, but I feel so hurt and disrespected by the women I spoke to today. I asked her if she had any available appointments for consultations in December and all she said was “nope.” Pretty weird not to offer an alternative but ok? When I asked if she had anything in January, she sighed and said “are you aware that a consultation runs anywhere between $300-$1000 and that fee isn’t applied to your appointment? Wanted to let you know before you waste my time.” I was left speechless. I assured her I could pay for it, and tried making an appointment for the end of January and she said that appointment was actually reserved for other clients and that I’d need to call back in the new year.

  She basically just assumed I was wouldn’t be able to afford treatment off of a 1 minute long conversation and refused to offer me an appointment because of it. I obviously am aware that aesthetic procedures, especially ones from well regarded places, can be costly and I would not have inquired about treatment if I wouldn’t be able to pay for it. Such an unprofessional and bizarre interaction.

She is absolutely outstanding and her staff is enormously well trained, competent, kind, and motivated to give the best care. I gladly travel over 3 hours to get to Santa Barbara Skin Institute.   You and your people are very friendly. You do fantastic work. The only criticism I have was the time I was alone in the operating room. The first time I said two Rosaries before someone came in. The second time, I said three Rosaries before someone came in. One Rosary takes me about 12 minutes. Overall, you and your people are great.

  It’s is very difficult to make appointments with a doctor. There is a long wait list. To be seen sooner, I drove to the Santa Barbara office from Santa Maria. I was seen an hour after my actual appointment. A new doctor took over the practice and he seemed very knowledgeable and took the time to hear out my concerns. It was my second visit. The front desk staff could be more pleasant and work on answering the phones and returning the messages. Sometimes I would call all morning without being able to get through and then I would get put on hold and forgotten. Most dermatologists want to concentrate on cosmetic procedures and selling skin care products. It’s hard to find a good dermatologist that will care about boring, regular, everyday skin care problems.

  She does my yearly skin exams, and has done my skin laser procedures.
  Very professional, personable, and knowledgeable.
  The staff is also really good.

  I am very happy with the results from the Mohs surgery I had last month. Dr Liu performed the surgery and was wonderful!! He’s not only very competent but also kind, outgoing and patient.   Switched over from another local dermatologist office that didn’t feel the most professional with scheduling and office environment/staff. I was very pleased with the switch to Aloe! I was able to get an appointment as a new patient in under a week from my initial call. The office environment was very calm, front desk was nice, forms were easy to fill out, and Dr. Llewellyn and his assistant (young girl forgot her name, but super super sweet!!!) were very accommodating and efficient. Also, love that they sold the Elta MD sunscreen products!!

  Dr. Llewellyn has been my dermatologist for probably thirty years. My sister passed away from a melanoma so he knows to make sure I’m checked for this. His staff is friendly and kind.
