Tried to pick up an Uber eats order and waited a long time inside waiting to be helped. I scanned the food showed an employee it was mine and went to my car to pack. The manager came out with attitude. I came back inside to give her whatever she needed from me to finish my delivery and she threaten me and wanted to fight me. Wouldn’t come inside to help and told me she was off the clock to fight. Took off her jacket and came at me. Real professional like. San Pablo is a good area we don’t need an unprofessional working here and trying to street fight. Such disgusting behavior!!!!!!!! We gave the store back the order, poor people just wanted their groceries. Uber drivers beware.

Bought a watermelon and a dragon fruit it was rotten and they wouldn’t give me my money back. They gave me another rotten watermelon and a rotten dragon fruit. Still no money back this is ridiculous they are selling rotten out of season fruit and then refuse to give your money back? Website says if you don’t have your receipt you will get your money back if it’s $10 or under they told me oh no that policy isn’t real. Unbelievable what a scam

Was. Shopping Wednesday evening around 830 or so. Most of the times I have very nice checkout associates
Looking for register that was open. Saw one, cashier was pacing back and forth like she didn’t want walk up to register. Had to ask her if she was open. She never said a word. . I think I must have bothered her. Don’t think I’ve ever had anyone that seem like they didn’t want to wait on you. . Guess she wanted me to use self checkout, which I won’t.
I’ve always got good service most of the time I shop there.

Watch out the managers completely don’t care what the employees do… I bought over a 100$ worth of groceries and one item at self service that cost 2.74 didnt ring up and i was treated like a theif and then the employee to save face for herself in front of everybody started saying i was already caught for stealing which was a complete lie…i have never been so embarrassed in my life…

    Seafood Selection 🦞

Walmart Neighborhood Market which is a smaller supermarket esque version of the retail giant does not have a seafood counter. Instead, they sell seafood out of a standard location I heard the term, side counter used.
Their seafood selection and presentation needs to improve I’m positive Walmart has the ability to do this, and they should.
I’ll start by saying the selection was/is almost abysmal. And what they have I don’t think is fairly priced. Examples here.
Small portion of Pacific Cod for over $8.00. They didn’t have any shrimp, frozen or otherwise same thing with scallops their website for seafood is very good, if they only offered what was on it.
At this point I decided to move on think they might of had a lobster tail didn’t see the price point.
If nothing else they could have offered Tilapia which is an inexpensive fish, and the shrimp which is very standard in most Walmart stores I’ve been to. I also didn’t like how it was signed. It should be clearly marked, some seafood retailers are actually listing what their policy is about sourcing for seafood and where it’s coming from. 🐬

Is it weird to love a Walmart? The nicest employees at self checkout, and some of them will get to know you too! I think her name is Melissa that typically is at self check out? She’s the sweetest. I know the “neighborhood” in the name is more to do with the smaller size but it does kinda feel like they are more tight knit in service as well. Never have had an issue with staff. The meat selection is sometimes a little sparse, but I usually come in late so it’s understandable in the smaller location. It is a bit annoying when the door is locked 20 minutes prior to close, but I typically don’t have an issue literally running in and out when I need one last minute thing.

I really want to like this Walmart. It’s so close by and convenient. However I dread having to go to this store. They only keep self checkout open. Rarely is there a cashier. The self checkout machines regularly break. They either don’t take cash or don’t take card. Every time I go I have to wait in a long line just to see if the machines might be working.

It’s an ok location. I’ve been in there only a few times but they’re overall usually stocked with what is needed as far as a grocery market. I just still hate the fact of the self checkout lines but it’s a clean and decent store

Are you ok with scanning all your items (even cart full of groceries) every single time you go there? And meanwhile you’re making this corporate juggernaut even more money, they have never had a cashier each time I’ve gone there, needless to say I’ll never go back. Hate corporate America anyway. Mentioned something to corporate and they said ok we’ll submit feedback, which likely meant, stop crying bro.

    UPDATE 10.13.22
AC in back of store blows hot air. They need to get City facilities on their game bc the store is HOT 🔥 🥵 inside. Manager needs to keep store temperature comfortable at a minimum. Also needs to get with the program on the front checkout. Especially with the store THAT HOT! 🙄 I went to checkout today after a big shopping trip and one section was closed off and all were self checkout. Pictures show all the register lights on but area roped off, employees standing around in closed area with lights on, and vision center closed. Employees EASILY could’ve turned lights off because it was closed. I was so hot and had to go to the ENTIRE opposite side to get in line and checkout myself. Bag myself. And wait for a cashier for a few products the weren’t “in the system.” Manager must be horrible because simple details and MAJOR AC issues can’t even be done properly. Also vision center shut down an entire 90min early. I headed there first and as I was walking up to the vision center at 6:30pm the guy was roping it off and never came back. Baymeadows store is much better. This isn’t my favorite store anymore. 😒

Nice clean store. Well stocked and safe even in the parking lot at night.

Shout out to Gabe in produce for helping me out with the lettuce! Very friendly and helpful!

There was one cashier the rest were only self checkouts. Literally no other checkout counters. If you have a big shopping list to do be prepared for having to shop, load your cart, unload in checkout, scan, bag, reload your cart, pay, unload your cart again into your car, and then unload again at home. I suggest using online shopping and picking it up at this location because it’s an entire process if you don’t or can’t get a cashier for some reason.

Otherwise this is a one of my favorite Walmarts. The other one is on Baymeadows Rd. at the Neighborhood Walmart.

Some of the Walmarts have scanners and bags for you when you go in. This is helpful in the self checkout process bc as you shop you just scan, bag as you go, and then pay at checkout. It eliminates a lot of the work of self checkout with large ticket orders.

If you’re thinking about using this Walmart and doing the same day delivery, don’t do it. Stick with Amazon Prime. The driver stole the item that I purchased. I called 5 times and no resolution. Can’t cancel the order, no information on the item, each customer service rep I’ve talked to told me different stories- GPS issue, store ineffectively communicated, driver had a personal issue. Not the customers problem, I ordered and paid for an item, I expect it to be delivered. I literally watched the driver 2 hours after the expected delivery time get about 4 minutes away from my house and then turn around and go the opposite direction. Then conveniently the tracking information disappeared. Ordered this 3 days ago and still nothing! My next step will be filing a police report and a fraud complaint. I hope the driver liked my kids birthday gift.

It’s a very decent Walmart. Some of them here in Jax aren’t but this one is by far one of my favorites to go to. Always fresh produce, good selections of meats and bakery items are always stocked. Rarely do I visit and not find what I need.
