What People Are Saying: 5 Customer Reviews

  1. We just tried this for the first time for our 4 year old son and 7 year old daughter. It was incredible! What a great workout, and they were having so much fun, they didn’t even realize it! I’m signing up my older daughter as soon as I can!

***Update*** I signed my older daughter up and she LOVES it! I also signed up for the adult classes, and have been going for two months. It is INCREDIBLE. It’s not only a tremendous workout, but I have formed some truly wonderful relationships with the people there. Everyone is so kind, patient and helpful as I’m developing my skills, walking me through difficult moves when I get stuck. I can’t ever see myself stopping now that I’ve started!

  2. SOLID jujitsu! Profesor Gustavo brings a great atmosphere to train in. Special shout out to the No Gi coach who goes above and beyond to explain the smallest details needed to understand the technique. Hands down one of the best Gyms I’ve trained at!

  3. This school is beyond excellent. I trained for several years in another state, earned my black belt there, and relocated to the Tri-Cities for work. I’ve been training here since Nov. 2021. I have visited many schools over the years. This one is a true gem.

Gustavo leads from the front. He maintains a healthy gym culture through example, tends to all students, and actively competes (with success to boot). He also attends many competitions to support and coach his students — even when he isn’t competing, even when it’s hours away.

There are certain signs to look out for when visiting new gyms — things that indicate a gym is a good place for *everyone* to train. Some of the many good signs I’ve seen at Siri: students are encouraged to compete and supported throughout the process, the black belts actually stay, the student body is diverse, the early beginners have their own class where they can grow comfortable instead of being thrown straight into the deep end, and the mats are ALWAYS CLEAN.

It’s also not a “soft” gym in any sense of the word. As in, if you’re a competitor and you need good, hard rolls to consistently level up, you will find that here. There is a strong, healthy interest in competition.

Whether you’re eager to try out jits for the first time, or you’re a seasoned competitor looking for a new home, do yourself a favor and visit. This gym rules!

  4. Dropped in while in town for work. Great instruction and a (friendly) packed house. Had an army blue belts to roll with! Thanks for having me!

This is the best investment a family can do for a child. This has been such a rewarding life experience for both of my boys ages 20 & 6. This experience gave him mental focus towards his career as a former Marine. My 6 year old loves learning and looks forward to going to class. The Sensei’s are caring, dedicated and motivating!

Amazing instructors here. From Sensei Rob, his son Zach and Joey Armstrong. Hands down THE best in the area!! I can’t wait to come back and visit them. Great vibes. Great training. Judo and Jiu Jitsu!!!

Robert (Dojo Sensei) is experienced, knowledgeable and certified by the Kodokan. He focuses on competitive Judo so this is s Randori school (fighting). But there are also elements of Jujitsu, Self Defense, Wrestling, and traditional Judo which incorporates into a very practical type of Judo. Newaza and Tachi Waza are practiced at this school so both standing and ground fighting elements are very well incorporated. The Judo Black Belts at this school have their unique style and experience within Judo. Highly recommended school for both adults and children.

Tired of having that soft dad/mom bod? Are you ready to wear your Jeans high and tight with confidence? Do you want to make fitness in a more functional way while also gaining confidence and discipline? All jokes aside, I can’t say enough good things about Tri-City Judo/BJJ and the positive impact it has had on my life . I was always nervous to walk into a martial arts school as a complete beginner but I felt welcome here from the very first class I attended. They helped me understand the fundamentals when I first joined and now 18 months later and I am still there 4 days a week. The instructors are world class and the camaraderie between the members is unlike anything I’ve ever experienced elsewhere. I wish I would have joined sooner. Don’t hesitate to come in and try it out for a week. Get after it!

Tri City Judo/BJJ is an amazing gym with world class instructors and friendly members. I have trained at this gym since August of 2014 and it has helped change my life for the better. Since I began training here I have lost over 60 pounds, won multiple competitions in BJJ, and have met some amazing people and friends. This gym is great for all kinds of people and they will help you reach your goals. Whether you are a fierce competitor or hobbyist, TCJ/BJJ will help push you to become the best you can be. The instructors and teammates are all very supportive and sacrifice a lot of there time out side of classes to attend competitions. The gym is very friendly and inclusive for new members.

I went to this gym to try it out I spared this dude named Isaiah he was a complete scrub tbh that guy can’t even hit a 1-2 combo… but hey he has a lot to improve on. I dropped him within seconds my foot work and momentum was way better than his! it was a certified BAKI moment I have bulked up so much from this place the training is incredible I highly recommend coming to this gym in all honesty this is a top tier S RANKED gym absolutely amazing! do not go anywhere else PS. EXCALIBUR PIZZA NEXT DOOR IS REALLY GOOD!!! I HIT THAT PLACE UP AFTER A INTENSE WORKOUT/SPARE

Great coaches and great atmosphere. I can say that they always have the best interest of anyone who is attending the classes and give the best insight in the area when it comes to MMA or Muay Thai. They give you what you need based off of how you want to go about MMA or Muaythai. If you want to just get a workout in they push you to your limits without excessively going overboard. And if you wish to compete, they mold you into a well rounded seasoned fighter. Hands down the best Muaythai and MMA gym in the Tri-Cities. 10/10

Went to try the Muay Thai class to see if I would fit it, when I called he was rude and when I said when the Muay Thai classes start for beginners he said “ idk search it up on our Facebook “ as the coach and owner u at least should know when ur own classes start. So I ignored his bad energy and I went to try out the class. I came in at 5:32 and class was at 5:30 , I was walking behind 2 of there students when I entered. He said “ your too late you can’t join “ and I told him there was traffic because there was a car accident.. he didn’t say anything and just say ok put on the gloves and shin guards over there and go on the mat. He was teaching the class what to me seemed like he didn’t even enjoy teaching, he expected me to know everything didn’t even introduce me to the class or make me feel welcome, he made me feel very uncomfortable and unwelcomed. He was straight up rude. I seen the way he was talking to some of his students after class and he talked normally, only cuz they were girls, but when I talked to him he gave me attitude. After class I asked if I can join or just watch the advance class so I can learn at least since it’s a 3 class free trail. He said was on his phone and didn’t even look at me and said “ NO your NOT ADVANCED “ he doesn’t even know anything about my past or bothered to ask if I had any experience. Then I was polite and said “ oh okay I just wanted to at least watch the advance class so I can learn just from observing “ he ignored me and continued on his phone and I left. I do not recommend this place to anyone. Makes you feel unwelcomed, doesn’t have any manners, gives attitude when you ask simple questions, he didn’t even ask me if I needed help or anything. I learned more from a kid who just started class there. He was nice and patient but the owner of this place is a complete ****head. This place has potential they just need to get rid of the main coach and replace him with someone who has that spark inside them. That spark that is contagious and makes people want to actually learn the sport. People like him make others loose there own spark. All they want is your money , you don’t even learn anything besides some basic combos you can learn from YouTube. Nothing special about this place at all. Wish this helps for those interested in Muay Thai I do recommend legacy in Richland they teach Muay Thai and the trainer there actually takes his time to teach you and has good energy. And is happy to train you if you have any troubles he makes u feel welcomed. Watch anyone call legacy and then call this place. You’ll see the atmosphere is completely different. One actually cares and the other doesn’t.and no I did not come in 10 mins late. I walked in at exactly 5:32 dont try to lie about that and say I was 10 mins late. I was even walking in the door behind one of ur students, so why didn’t you tell him anything ?

Great coaches, very supportive, I couldn’t ask for more of Coach tony and Coach skittles. My kids joined not knowing how to do a push up or make friends. Now they are very outgoing, more focused in school and I would recommend anyone not to be shy and check this place out first.
