Really bad service. I made an appointment and when I arrived at the appointment I didn’t have an appointment…. totally lost the receptionists change far too often their clearly lack of stability. I had to go through my lawyer several times to get answers from them. The goal of the organization is great, but for a while nothing has been going well at the Granby legal aid office.

Since I no longer work there, I can allow myself to make a comment. I needed the services of Me Perron, who helped me a lot in my legal process with a government company. He has always listened to my requests and done everything necessary to respond to them. Sometimes, certain things are beyond their control, but I know that Mr. Perron is ready to help his clients. For business law, Mr. Lampron is excellent in his field, he knows what to do to help his clients, he is very dedicated to his profession and he accumulates several tasks for the satisfaction of his clients. I recommend him to anyone who wants to buy a business or start a business, he gives sound advice. He knows how to plead before the Court, if this is necessary to resolve disputes, however, an agreement out of court is recommended by Me Lampron. As well as your satisfaction.

Serious breaches of ethics and significant breach of confidentiality. No internal complaint management. Very disappointed to have referred you in 2021. I called back the 2 people who referred me and told me that they too had disowned this company forever.

Don’t hire this gentleman. I was very poorly represented. My case only got worse, he and his team resolved absolutely nothing. An unnecessary expense. Find grace elsewhere.

Top Immigration Lawyer Alternatives in Granby

According to the 2021 Canadian census, immigrants in Canada number 8.3 million persons and make up approximately 23 percent of Canada's total population. This represents the eighth-largest immigrant population in the world, while the proportion represents one of the highest ratios for industrialized Western countries.Following Canada's confederation in 1867, immigration played an integral role in helping develop vast tracts of land. During this era, the Canadian Government would sponsor information campaigns and recruiters to encourage settlement in rural areas; however, this would primarily be only towards those of European and religious Christian backgrounds, while others—particularly Hindus, Buddhist, Shinto, Sikh, Muslim, and Jewish immigrants—as well as the poor, ill, and disabled, would be less than welcome. Following 1947, in the post-World War II period, Canadian domestic immigration law and policy went through significant changes, most notably with the Immigration Act, 1976, and the current Immigration and Refugee Protection Act (IRPA) from 2002.The main drivers of population growth are immigration, driven mainly by economic policy and also family reunification. A record number of 405,000 immigrants were admitted to Canada in 2021, with plans to increase the annual intake of immigrants to 500,000 per year. New immigrants settle mostly in major urban areas in the country, such as Toronto, Montreal and Vancouver. Canada also accepts large numbers of refugees, accounting for over 10 percent of annual global refugee resettlements; it resettled more than 28,000 in 2018 and has spent $769 million in 2023 alone for free housing and meals.

The Biggest Immigration Lawyer in Canada

When it comes to immigration matters, it is crucial to have a competent and experienced lawyer who can guide you through the complex legal process. In Granby, Quebec, there are several reputable immigration lawyers to choose from. However, if you are looking for alternatives, here are three popular options:

  • 1. Immigration Consultants: Immigration consultants are professionals who are authorized to provide assistance and advice on immigration matters. They are not lawyers but are knowledgeable about the immigration process and can help you prepare and submit your application. Immigration consultants are regulated by the Immigration Consultants of Canada Regulatory Council (ICCRC). Hiring an immigration consultant can be a more affordable option compared to hiring a lawyer.
  • 2. Legal Aid Organizations: In Granby, there are legal aid organizations that provide free or low-cost legal services to individuals who cannot afford a private lawyer. These organizations have qualified lawyers who specialize in immigration law and can assist you with your immigration application. To be eligible for legal aid, you must meet certain income and asset requirements. It is advisable to contact the legal aid organization in your area to determine if you qualify for their services.
  • 3. Non-Profit Organizations: Non-profit organizations, such as immigrant settlement agencies or community groups, often have immigration specialists or lawyers on staff. These organizations focus on providing support and assistance to newcomers and can help you with various immigration-related matters. They may offer information sessions, workshops, and one-on-one consultations to help you navigate the immigration system. While their services may be limited, they can be a valuable resource for individuals who cannot afford private legal representation.

When choosing an alternative to an immigration lawyer, it is essential to do thorough research and ensure that the individual or organization you choose is reputable and authorized to provide immigration assistance. Immigration matters can have significant consequences, so it is crucial to seek guidance from qualified professionals who can help you achieve your immigration goals.
