Started out with high hopes. We were happy to start. After requesting more communication.(Knowing this would come with a cost) and pointing out where we would like to see some improvement before going to court. We were met with more silence and a very long and very rude email. Going to court is already hard enough as is. Everyone’s reason for finding a lawyer and going to court is different but it’s generally for something you care alot about. We did not feel as though they cared about us at all. Still trying to get in contact to get our retainer back. I would not recommend going with them. We should have seen it coming from the previous bad reviews. As well as the fact that our lawyer was late for our consultation. Sending incorrectly formatted documents, had to call multiple times to pay for the retainer in the first place that should have been our first sign. Save your dollars and go elsewhere.

I’d leave zero if I could. I called for a full month about getting representation. Was answered the first time and was told I’d get a call back. Nothing after a week. Called again and again. Voicemail and email. Got a response a few days before my court date with some excuse that someone was sick and the person filling in was suppose to contact me. I dunno. I won’t name names, but I called Numerous times and emailed. It’s a good thing I was able to defend myself and come out alright. Pretty much a joke

Very rude and unprofessional. On top of that – impossible to get a hold of (even with time sensitive matters). Really surprised this kind of behaviour comes from a law firm that claims to represent the best interest of their clients. Seems all of the other negative reviews were correct..

They’re quick to answer when they take their fees. After that, they didn’t return calls or emails. That’s just my experience. There are other lawyers out there

I have been working in the law industry for over 12 years and this is by far, the worst law firm I have ever dealt with. During the entire Sale transaction I never recieved one phone call, including before and after the closing. All correspondence was via email and even then, their responses were sometimes days later and let me assure you, I was not one of those clients that bombarded them with phone calls and emails. The only time I got a phone call was a couple of months later to let me know their was an outstanding invoice for a $34 courier when I specifically asked (repeatedly) to have the documents sent by mail. If you’re ok with zero compassion, poor correspondence and being passed from person to person (4 in all) then this is the law firm for you!!!! Save your money and find a lawyer that’s actually willing to talk to you. I would name names but I think they know exactly who they are.

Indigenous intellectual property is a term used in national and international forums to describe intellectual property that is "collectively owned" by various Indigenous peoples, and by extension, their legal rights to protect specific such property. This property includes cultural knowledge of their groups and many aspects of their cultural heritage and knowledge, including that held in oral history. In Australia, the term Indigenous cultural and intellectual property, abbreviated as ICIP, is commonly used.
There have been various efforts made since the late 20th century towards providing some kind of legal protection for indigenous intellectual property in colonized countries, including a number of declarations made by various conventions of Indigenous peoples. The World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) was created in 1970 to promote and protect intellectual property across the world by cooperating with countries as well as international organizations. The UN's Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples (UNDRIP), signed by 144 countries in 2007, includes several clauses relating specifically to the protection of intellectual property of Indigenous peoples.
Disputes around indigenous property include several cases involving the Māori people of New Zealand.
