  1. (Home Delivery) I will NEVER purchase anything from this company in my life again. The worst customer service experience. Purchased my washer weeks ago and it took forever to get delivered. Once delivered it was not installed correctly and the dozens of phone calls were met with employees who would hang up or claim to schedule someone to come back (I’d miss work) only to have them tell me there is no notes in place stating I ever scheduled something. I am shaking even writing this because I’ve never had to work so hard to have something done correctly, when I’ve paid my money. It’s ridiculous. Go somewhere else you will constantly have staff, including supervisors “accidentally” drop the calls.

  2. Huey Phan is the BEST!!! Met him in 2014 . Had just moved back from Florida and in need of large & small appliances. What he sold me was perfect. Have been going to him ever since for all my needs. Too bad he can’t be cloned!! 😊

  3. The customer service over the phone is insane. It is terrible from the managers on down. They half answer the phone and when they do they brush you off and the phone conveniently gets disconnected. Manager wouldn’t get on the phone just relayed messages. My order was delivered to wrong place then they tried to receiver l redeliver and said they would call when order was in route. I checked on order several times only to be told its on truck they can’t give me a time. Then how later they said it was delivered at 230 with no phone call. Worst customer service experience I have had

  4. While I’m finding the variety less than in the past, prices were on par with competition and there was a good quantity of plants.

  5. Wouldn’t come here if I had other options.
    You would think that a large home depot servicing a huge Boston market would be well-run and functional. We were very disappointed to come here and find a huge mess. Employees are aimlessly standing around blocking the aisles (and definitely not offering to help you). Bolts and screw sections are messy and missing a lot of assortments. We ended up just figuring out what we needed and then ordering them online since they were out.
    Also, with a good 30 minutes or so left, someone at the PA system would already start berating us to come get our stuff checked out since the store was closing… in 30 minutes.
    We’ll just go to TruValue next time.

    This 5 star review is for the Home Depot staffer in the photo below (on the right). He works the plumbing aisle in the Somerville store. He got his license in 1971 and was a wealth of knowledge as he tried to help us with connectors for a portable dishwasher. Unfortunately, we couldn’t solve the problem as HD did not have the part but we were appreciative of this gentleman’s patience and help. Thank you.

    We do the free 1st Saturday kids craft every month. We love that they have those and that it’s free! (of course, I end up buying something at least half the times we do it, which is why they do it!) This is also the home depot I go to regularly for home supplies and they have always had what we needed.

    The store had various strong chemical smells that I had to leave. Two items I wanted they didn’t have. Never found the 3rd one because I had to leave the store to get some fresh air. I like shopping at Home Depot, but not this one. I was with a friend who also had to leave because the fumes were stinging her eyes.

    They have replaced as many employees with computers as they can. They can’t be bothered by having real human interaction and make you do their work to scan and bag your own products. They do not pay you or discount the products for the work you did.

    We live local so this is our local hardware store. We used to go to the Watertown location and between the two this one is better. Register staff is generally always helpful. Staff around the store are generally not. I came to buy a Makita saw recently when the Milwaukee rep was there and literally nobody would help unlock the cage so I could buy the saw and they were all talking behind my back to the Milwaukee rep about how I didn’t know what I was doing. If you’re going to keep things behind lock and key, then have staff appropriately around the store to help. It’ll probably do the job if you need to come here but don’t expect much help. Plan ahead.
