The cashier was very nice. The corporate manager and local manager were there and we’re absolutely extremely rude, not helpful, and honestly made it harder for me to shop there. And unfortunately they treated me like a kindergarten or or a dog. Same to the poor elderly cashier lady.
I needed a cinder block or something to shim my project off the ground all the concrete set up. They were out of cinder blocks but had some broken pieces on the ground. I asked if I could pay for a cinderblock and have the broken pieces and they refused and made me go dump the rubble back. This was after I had walked the store three times over trying to find help and they didn’t bother to do anything other than yell and tell me to put that stuff Back
This is such a good hardware store they have a very good selection of items that you need for around the house. You don’t see hardware stores like this around too much anymore also the people there are good and are very very helpful the prices are competitive as well. I always try to go to this Ace hardware before I go to a place like home Depot or Lowe’s
I am regular customer at this location and shop there often. Don was the cashier today. Each time I come I usually use the much appreciated military discount that Ace offers… During my previous experience with Don he asked if he could see my Military ID, which was unusual because non of the other store personnel has ever asked to see it. I showed it to Don and he said people try to use the Military discount and don’t even look like they’ve been in the military. That was an unusual comment, but I just disregarded it. Well today I asked for the normal military discount and he asked for my ID again. I simply asked if he remembered me and his response was not really I see hundreds of people… I knew from his tone and the time I gave him my Rewards number that this transaction was going to be unfavorable! I asked him if he was asking for my military ID because of my race , mainly because I remembered his comments that he can look at people and practically make a determination if they served or not. So I completed the transaction and left without a getting a ” Thank you for your service nor a Thank you for shopping with us today !” from Don…
