  1. Moving to Brightwater is one of the best decisions my husband and I have made. Everyone has been extremely helpful in settling us in our new home. The staff are very attentive and caring. It has been very easy to make new friends. The facilities and grounds are well maintained. There is never a dull moment with numerous activities. We highly recommend Brightwater to everyone.

  2. My husband and I moved to Brightwater 8 months ago. We immediately felt at home. Everyone, members and staff, are so friendly and helpful, from the first moment till now. With a full activity schedule and permanent physical fitness amenities we often compare our life to living on a cruise ship! Of course, you don’t have to participate in anything if you don’t want to. I’d write more but I might be late to Trivia in the library!

  3. My husband and I moved into Brightwater six weeks ago. We have a beautiful cottage. We are so happy we moved here for so many reasons. The people who live here are very friendly and welcoming. The staff are also friendly and helpful. There are a variety of activities to keep us busy and active. The food is delicious and we have enjoyed eating in the dining room as well as cooking in our home. The area is great with many supermarkets and restaurants nearby. My only regret is that we didn’t do it sooner. I also love the peace of mind I have knowing I will never be a burden to anyone. It is truly a luxury retirement community.

  4. From the moment you pull up to the gate your realize how kind the staff is here. The grounds are nicely kept and the patio in memory care is cheerful. My grandma is here in the memory care section. The nurses and aides and therapists are so nice to me. They help when asked and the common area makes you feel right at home. I tell my grandma that if I had to ever choose a nursing home this would be it.

Just moved into our cottage at Brightwater.Thank you Linda Rekya for your patience over the last two years as we gathered information and then decided to become a members of Brightwater Independent Living. As overwhelming as it is to move, our transition specialist, Joseph Patrick made the process much easier. From the Brightwater Blue and Green Welcome Bow on the door to treats and flowers on the counter and lunch and dinner for us, we felt right at home. Joseph communicated with us every step of the way and made sure we had a smooth transition. We were introduced to our mentors, Susan and Lonnie, who have been more than generous with their time. Thank you Brightwater for welcoming us with open arms. Neighbors are friendly, the entire staff is knowledgeable and willing to help. It is a beautiful community with loving and caring members.

    Wonderful experience. Deb the hostess at front desk very informative. Directions to visit each layout of homes offered was great. She gave us right of way to also see all the amenities which were great. Talked with some of the people living there who willingly expressed the joy of living there. Came back to Deb and received more info and a person to contact if and when we were more Interested in purchasing a home. Not right time for us yet but would consider this place in future.

    Months 1-6 were a great experience. We have now been stalled for a month waiting on a slider. We were told a month ago it would arrive in a few days. We are literally in a holding pattern with no information about when the house will close. The build window is 6-8 months. We are at month 7. No one is willing to give us a close date. UPDATE: I was hoping to change my review after we closed. I cannot. We moved into a house that is a mess. We have a list of 20+ items that need to be fixed, replaced or repaired. The neighborhood/community itself is amazing. So fun to live here. It’s a shame we didn’t move into a beautiful new home. Instead we are practically begging to get things fixed, repaired or replaced.

    After visiting numerous 55+ communities in three states, we had no hesitation in choosing the NEW Myrtle Beach Del Webb community. The LOCATION is exceptional. The area offers dining, entertainment, an airport, medical and shopping facilities.and the boardwalk. Then there’s lots of amenities including the Grand Dunes marina, Ocean Club, and private beach. We met many of the wonderful, friendly staff and contented homeowners who enjoy life to the fullest. The homes are modern, user-friendly, designer dwellings. Our home’s quality is great for the money we spent. The buying-building experience was extremely pleasant with no worries. We got our dream home within golf cart distance to our own private beach…who could ask for more?

    One of THE best retirement communities on the East coast. Access to so many amenities, plus ocean club that’s ‘above and beyond.’ Homes are pricey, but it’s the community you’re buying into.

    I have lived in many luxury apartments including four different Camden properties. so far the maintenance crew has been superior. the front office personnel has been above expectations. the apartment is just what I expected even though I got it sight on seen, just a virtual tour. really can’t ask for much more.

    Thank you for your response to my last review. I would like to say that some of what I said was done in frustration and apologize for that. I have lived here for 3 years and enjoy the apartment complex and the staff has always been very friendly and helpful. I understand that there are things that you must learn to live with when living in a apartment complex this big. The staff does do a good job in maintaining and taking care of people’s issues. The majority of the people who reside here are very nice and never had any problems with. That being said I probably would recommend this place to someone looking for an apartment. The apartments and complex is nice and in a great location, a short drive to anywhere in the area.

    My wife and I stayed here for about 10 months and the experience was fantastic! The office was always pleasant and very efficient and polite in communication. The application process was upfront and simple; the exit process was equally so! The 2 maintenance requests we had were fulfilled same day which was really neat. It was nice having a complex ran with integrity and professionalism throughout and we would recommend this place to anyone!

    We’ve lived here for a couple years now and this place has been nothing but average or often times below average, from basketball courts taking forever to get fixed to washing and drying machines either constantly being broken or outdated to unruly neighbors that blast music all throughout the night with no repercussion to trash being left in breezeways. Not to mention actually bad things like having pest control that actually doesn’t even enter the premise and filters that aren’t ever actually installed. There are plenty of complaints about this place and we plan on moving out as soon as financially possible
