What People Are Saying: 5 Customer Reviews

  1. Place is absolutely fantastic! Always try to eat here when I’m in town. The service is top notch, very attentive and change flatware and silverware after each course. The prices are definitely worth it since they include salad, olive plate, rice, green beans, potato chips. You will definitely leave here stuffed and with tons of leftovers. Can’t wait to go back!

  2. I was excited to go to fornos
However the food quality was mixed. The freshness of the seafood is not up to par. The food was overly salted. The sauce is were not pure. Quite a disappointment. Few good things. The sweet was great and salads were free. In summary the quantity is big quality low. We only had seafood. No opinion on the meats.

  3. While on a trip to the Newark airport we Googled local restaurants and stumbled upon this place. The service is A1. The food was amazing. The best paella I’ve ever had. We also had the tuna tartare and we just didn’t have enough time to take picture because we couldn’t wait to dig in. Every dish was AMAZING. Will definitely be back to try different dishes.

  4. What a wonderful experience… One of the best meals we have ever eaten. From the decor, to the service, served up hot and delicious, substantial portions with much to take home. Pampered and treated like a king… Served with style. I can’t wait to return and try more. Worth the wait… They are always busy… It’s that good. Thanks to the folks at Fornos!!!

  5. Best of the fine dining, great service, comprehensive menu, wide selection of wine. This place is great for small celebrations as well as bigger banquets. Room for improvement? Butter cups served with bread look cheap for such a great experience overall.

We went to Don Pepe on weekday lunch, because they have their own parking lot, that saves us from hunting for street parking. Even then, we were the 3rd last spot in the lot. At the entrance its a huge hallway with lots of sitting arrangements. Further inside they have another whole floor for restaurant diners. We got welcomed with some nice warm breads and pepe olive oil. Our server was pretty cut through, read us the long list of specials right away. The food takes a while to arrive, due to the lunch hour rush. My bronzini was really well cooked, was lots of moisture in it. Despite being bone-in, I enjoyed making my way through the entire fish, it was a lot to eat!! Sadly the sides are boring, a boiled/baked potato, and some broccoli carrots. I did like the broccoli a lot, it had a hint of saltiness, but other were meh! I was surprised to see the fish was such decently priced at $23, was expecting to around $30+. Overall we had a good meal. We might visit here again, but won’t be that often for quick lunch, since its more of a proper seat and dine place.

Awesome seafood platter ($52). Loved every part of it. Great service. Only problems were too much food (enough for two people but traveling by myself for work) and too many options to choose from! Guess I’ll have to go back…

We spent our Valentines here after an appointment in the area. My husband had been here many years ago and remembered how large the steaks were. He definitely wasn’t disappointed! My lobster tail was amazing, too! What a fun night!

I hadn’t been here in a loooong time, and Google wasn’t even a thing then, but recently went for dinner and the food here stands the test of time. The surf and turf is amazing. The wine selection and recommendation was paired perfectly with the Fillet mignon that was cooked perfectly and a lobster tail that was juicy and plump. Everyone serving us was attentive and the portions are very generous. Coming back again when I have a chance.

We enjoyed a halibut dish here, served with plenty of steamed vegetables and rice. Service was great. There were groups of families with children and the atmosphere was very pleasant. Recommended for families and couples alike.

My girlfriend and I came here to dine for our anniversary. I made sure to make reservations in advance. This was our first time trying Chateau of Spain and it did not disappoint at all. My gf and I arrived there shortly after 11:30a. The staff was polite and courtesy upon our arrival. Once we were seated our server made sure we had water, fresh bread and butter at our table. I had the sirloin steak sandwich (well done) along with onion rings. My gf order a combination platter which consisted of onion rings, chicken tenders, fried calamari, mozzarella sticks, and hot wings. Our food was well prepared and came out hot. They have a pretty good variety of food and beverages to pick from. The prices are somewhat expensive but Chateau of Spain does provide wonderful and great service. We’ll definitely be back sometime in the future.

Went to a friends sweet 16 birthday party here and the setup was really nice. Thank goodness it was on a Sunday because parking would have been tough. We were on the second floor. Tables were set up according to the number in the party which we had about 20. One thing that was annoying was another party that was there was very loud. I mean laughing and talking as if they were they only ones there. It would have been nice if they asked them to calm down a bit but nope we had to deal with it until they left. The food was really good. No one at our table had problems or complaints. We ordered a pitcher of red and white sangria. Neither tasted flavorful like a sangria should be to me. Maybe they put to much ice 🤷🏾‍♀️. Overall a great place to eat and I do plan to return.

The staff was super nice and attentive and helpful. The service was all around great. The atmosphere needs some updating. The food was pretty tasty but not authentic. We ordered the paella and it was pretty far from what you would expect from paella. It was basically just rice with a couple of veggies and then placed in a frying pan. It was about 90% rice and it was likely not cooked in that frying pan. The portions are huge though and overall not a bad experience.
