  1. My aunt lives here and she loves it. The food could have healthier selections in my opinion. More fresh fruits and veggies and less flour and sugar items.

  2. My grandma is living at this facility. We finally could visit after the long absence due to COVID-19. It was her birthday, and I took my kids so we could surprise her. It had been well over a year since we had seen her in person. The staff was just as excited as us, they seated us in a private room and took photos after our arrival. Offered goodies and snacks, and where beyond welcoming. I felt good about those that work there and obviously deeply care about the residence’s including my grandma.

  3. We toured the facilities to determine if they would be a good home for my mom. The staff was helpful and professional, the building and rooms are beautiful, and the services excellent. It provided great peace of mind.

    If you or a family member are in need of assisted living facility I would encourage you to go visit Hawthorne Court. They are so kind and provide an amazing healthy atmosphere for your loved one. My dad has gained a new family, safety net and quality of life!!

    Surprised by the reviews because I’ve had dinner with my parents on the independent side for the last month and it’s been amazing. The servers are so helpful, the cook was amazing and management was helpful and even brought my daughter(who was exhausted) ice cream. This has always been a nice place but now it feels like a family.

    The facility is staffed with caring, cheerful and friendly people. I can’t say enough about the inviting atmosphere there. Apartments are all on one floor, no elevators! Many activities are available, both on site and outings to restaurants and joyrides. An absolute gem of a place to live.

    My mother in law is a resident at Hawthorne and we spend a good deal of time there visiting her and the other residents. It’s a welcoming place with a friendly atmosphere. The staff is positive and friendly. My mother in law is happy and very comfortable there. Highly recommend.

    Good privacy, excellent staff, quiet and peaceful. An excellent place to live. Ive been here going on three years and have yet to have any particular problem with the property or ownership. Prices are more than fair as well. Excellent.

    Place going downhill since Melanie left. Office staff became unfriendly and would make rude comments if a package was left more than a day, though we had them delivered to the office in the first place to keep them safe. Melanie never had issues if our packages sat a few days due to work schedules. Not to mention everything broke, like all the time. Mark the maintenance man was very nice and always solved problems as quickly as possible. And lastly, we finally chose to move out after they tried to raise our rent nearly 300 dollars for an unupdated unit. Things worth mentioning: they have a great pet policy, and in unit washer and dryers, mark is a good guy. For reference I lived here for 4 years on the third floor, 2019-2023.

    We enjoyed living at Desertbrook for about 2 years. The property manager Melanie treated us with kindness and was always helpful to answer our questions and concerns even after we moved out, she was still very helpful. Mark is in charge of maintenance and he’s just awesome! always has a smile on his face and ready to help you. We lived in a one bedroom apartment, it’s small/cozy with a large bathroom! From time to time we would have issues with the dishwasher, sink and fridge but every time a maintenance request was sent out, it would get fixed on the same day or the next day. The problem was always solved with no issue. Desertbrook was our first apartment so we didn’t know what we were doing and the lady before Melanie, was very helpful and explained to us the process of moving into an apartment and Melanie did an amazing job explaining to us the process of moving out. The best part of living at Desertbrook is that it’s a small apartment complex so parking was never an issue and getting help was never an issue. We were surrounded by great neighbors who would look out for each other. There are two cons: we could hear our upstairs neighbor clearly and someone would stay parked in their car at 3am blasting techno music. We moved because we were ready to move into a bigger space but honestly, we’re gonna miss living there. I hope this review is helpful to someone looking for an apartment.

    Lived here for about 3 or 4 months. It was a really nice place. They have the best management team I have ever met. Melanie is super helpful and accommodating to everything we needed. The maintenance guy was there within 24 hours of asking for him. The only downside, for us personally, was the apartment itself was just a little too small for two adults and two big dogs and we didn’t have enough room for everything we owned, which isn’t the apartments fault. We just own too much stuff But I highly recommend these apartments. All in all, the apartment itself was really cozy. All of the appliances are new and updated. The layout is nice and is definitely a good fit for two people and two small dogs or one big dog. Most everyone in the complex was nice. -Katie and Andrew

    I lived at Desertbrook for almost 1.5 years and really enjoyed my experience. The apartments are spacious and nice, there’s lots of storage/cabinet space within the apartments, the area is quiet and safe, and it’s in a fairly central location. But what really made Desertbrook stand out was the fantastic management and maintenance personnel. They were very personable, responsive, and genuinely cared about their tenants. When I moved away for a job and had to terminate my lease early, management was very understanding and treated me fairly. Would definitely have renewed my lease had I stayed in the area!
