- Reviews:I am a Caregiver with Visiting Angel’s and had the pleasure of spending the day with a client in the Assisted living part of the Rosewood for the first time. I arrived at 6:45 AM and the ladies at the front desk were so friendly. They walked with me to her room and pointed out where everything was. My client was not able to eat in the dining room and wasn’t hungry until after breakfast was already over. I walked to the kitchen and a very friendly young man was able to provide me with the food she had requested. Each time I passed an Employee in the hallway I got a smile and friendly hello. The young lady working the PM hallway shift offered to start a load of laundry. Absolutely wonderful experience. Thank you, TanjaBy TANJA BRAME (3 weeks ago)I really appreciate this place for my dad. We moved him in last week and they seem to be taking very good care of him. We are able to decorate the room the way he likes. We were pleased with the cleanliness and ambience in the community. My Mom’s room is appropriate and everyone has been very attentive in assisting our legally blind Mom with whatever assistance she requires. Thank you Rosewood for making our Mom’s transition from total independence to level two care, as far as we can determine she is Happy 😊! I love being able to see that there are still ALF/SNF that are clean, professional, welcoming and supportive in helping the elderly and disabled and their families feel at home and cared for! If you are E-5 or up I would definitely recommend getting over 750sq. ft. Fs. It is a quiet community but I would definitely go with the 2nd floor if I could do it over. The leaves from the trees leave a big mess if you are on the 1st floor. Also you are going to want to invest in some good quality shades because the night time lights are super bright. These were the pictures I took when I first moved in. Sent these to Managment I can’t believe they allowed people to rent apartments in this condition. It was out of my mind, I wouldn’t suggest moving here unless you want to pay almost 1000 for an apartment that looks this trashy. Then the AC was not even working for the first couple months. The apartment had an awful smell to it all the time! Everything about this apartment complex was horrendous I wouldn’t wish this on anybody! This is the worst place I ever stayed in!
The apartment manager super rude for starters, secondly we moved in they didn’t let us do a walk through. So many things were wrong with the apartment after they said they checked it. Moved in on a Saturday paid the prorated rent by Tuesday we had to pay more money for something we already paid that’s include in our rent. By far the worse place I’ve ever lived in I don’t advise this place for anyone. Been here less than a week and I’m good to move already. The bright side the desk lady is nice & understanding I guess.
Please do not waste your time, your money, or your mental capacity in this complex. The nightmare starts from them charging you well over a non-refundable $1000+ fee just for moving in which supposedly covers internet (that hardly works), trash, miscellaneous fees, etc, to deleting maintenance issues without resolve (I had a leak in my bathroom ceiling for 2 months which caused black mold, and a constantly running toilet for 3 weeks), to the office staff being incompetent as they send notices months behind that have already been covered and posted in their own resident portal app, and sending passive-aggressive emails with multiple misspellings and misinformation to the residents. I tried to work with them on multiple occasions, had to go to the BBB and county commissioner just to have an attempt at resolution, and they never responded to any request. Please save your mental health and your money and choose to live elsewhere.
I recently moved from River Oaks because of my job relocation, and I desperately miss it. I loved my newly renovated apartment with all black appliances. The best part was the wood burning fireplace and washer and dryer hookups. I also enjoyed the beautifully manicured grounds and walking trails. The property is pet friendly which was perfect for my two little pups. The staff was always kind and helpful. If I ever work in Killeen again, I will definitely move back to River Oaks Apartments.
Had no problem staying here at all. Nice apartment complex and the maintenance gets done decently quick. I will say the one thing about this place that set me off was when I was moving out. The property manager tried charging me $150 for apparently not cleaning when I had 2 other people with me helping clean the entire thing. Get this though the only photo evidence they had for it not being clean was a shower curtain holder being left on the bedroom floor when it was clean. $150 for accidently leaving a pole in there that was left by the previous owner before me? Yeah okay 😂😂😂😂.
