  1. The highlight of last night’s visit was they dropped our food. Server was very attentive. Even though restaurant was packed, people were getting tables quickly on a timely manner.

    We got our croissants straight from the oven. They were delicious!!! Then we got our appetizer, it was good as always.

    Then the manager came to apologize because they dropped our food but they were already working on it. Asked how we were doing and if we needed anything. Thanks to the appetizer we were okay.

    Then they brought our food, which was good and portion size was way bigger than the usual. Again, the manager came to apologize once again and asked how we were doing and informed us we would get a discount because of the incident.

    We didn’t ask for anything. Customer service was exceptional. Those little details make a big difference and we will be back! We are humans, we drop things. Nothing wrong there. Could happen to any of us.

  2. Good restaurant, very friendly and attentive staff. Quality of food was good. The Wisconsin Fried Cheese Curds, Bread and Chips and homemade Queso and Salsa never disappoint. I must admit that the New Orleans pasta sauce had no flavor. The chicken and sausage were perfectly seasoned though. Lemon Pepper chicken dish was scrumptious and had a hearty portion.

  3. The food at Cheddars is well made, fresh, and great tasting. They also serve free homey butter croissants which are amazing. The only reason I knocked a star is that the water at this location was undrinkable. There is a very pronounced chemical taste which permeates any water based drink that they make from the tap.
    The service and atmosphere was great.

  4. Family-friendly restaurant stop by and enjoy some delicious home made food. I had the Blackened Salmon it was cooked to perfection very soft, almost melts in your mouth, amazing! The Ribs are very delicious and tender the meat fell off the bone with no problem. Today, my son had the bacon cheeseburger as usual. Unfortunately, it was nasty he took a few bites, and right away was unable to continue eating it. My daughter had the chicken pasta, and she loved it! Most of the time, we can count on a great meal and a good time!

  5. I am so glad that we chose to eat here! There were a lot of people waiting, we were greeted right away with a friendly smile. The wait time was less than 5 minutes. We had a party of three.

    First off, the atmosphere was very welcoming. We were seated at a booth and our server Manny was wonderful! He had such a nice smile and he made sure our drinks were full and also was very attentive, stopping by to see if we needed anything else.

    We had not been to Cheddar’s in some years due to an unfortunate situation that happened. We were so glad we went back! Let me tell, you the variety in dishes and food they have is excellent! I had the Dijon honey chicken and we was absolutely delicious! The cheese bites were absolutely delicious too! The croissants ARE THE BEST!!!

    We will definitely be returning soon and this is a must stop for anyone visiting the Brownsville area or for anyone that hasn’t been here!! BIG THANK YOU TO OUR SERVER MANNY!!! YOU DID AN AWESOME JOB!!! WE NEED TO SEE MORE SERVICE LIKE HIS! 🫶🏼👍🏼

    The waiter was attentive, friendly, and very helpful. Our drinks were kept full. My fajita steak was very tender and tasty. The menu had a lot to offer. There was easy access to parking lot from freeway outer road and lots both in front and behind the building. There is a bicycle path alongside the west side of the building that goes from Palo Alto Battle Field to Downtown Brownsville so this is an easy stop while out riding. There is also bicycle parking by the front door

    Very good dinner for two of us last night. Chips and salsa were excellent- fresh made chips and a warm salsa that was delicious and spicy. Our meals were very good, too. I had the Surf & Turf fajitas. Both the steak and shrimp were ample and tasty. Service was good. Would easily return here if back in Brownsville. Great decision.

    I’ve been coming here for years. Every time I stop by this restaurant, I always order their specialty fajita panchos. They have the best fajita panchos in town. Great custom services! He brought us a small bowl of soup which was super delicious! We were very pleased with our server (Eddie)!

    Fun restaurant. Super diverse menu. The fajita nachos were incredible. Soooo delicious. Get those. Don’t get the fried chicken. I was disappointed in the quality of it. But the staff is great. They were on top of everything for us. I would go back for the nachos!

    The Charro Beans were great, and the tea was good. Nice building, and lots of parking in different places. The tacos were disappointing. The music was too loud. The service was slow. It didn’t live up to what the other reviews said about it.

    This diner is absolutely amazing! The atmosphere is very cozy and inviting. They have plenty of seating with a mix of booths and tables with an open concept dining area. The hostess was so accommodating and welcoming; she greeted us with a smile and was very nice when she changed our seats – the table was too small. The food tastes so fresh and flavorful – we ordered from this diner 3 times during our visit in the valley. Our server was very knowledgeable and quick that our time there seemed seamless. I will be coming back the next time I am in town. I highly recommend this diner to all!

    Jeremy was an excellent server! The coffee is their own blend from Nicaragua (100% single origin) it tastes amazing. The atmosphere is very welcoming and relaxing. The decoration makes it feel like a home in a way. The food is delicious. The French toast was so good I didn’t even need syrup! The bacon is just the right amount of crispy! The chicken fried steak was tender as well! I highly reccomend coming here!

    Great food, great service! 😁 I just came down to the valley to visit my parents from Houston and they suggested we go here since they loved the food the first time they came. It was my first time coming here and it was great!! The food was delicious and hot! The corn muffins are SO good, you have to try them!! The desserts were really good as well. Our server Chris made it a great experience!! He was very attentive, an overall great server. He even had most of the floor to himself towards the end of our visit and was handling it great. I’ve been a server before so I know how it can be really over whelming sometimes but he was doing amazing. A place can have great food but great service is the key to making people come back! Which we will definitely be back! 😁

    Service was good, food was ok. Seated quickly, drink order taken at a reasonable time. Server checked a couple times. Staff seemed stretched a little thin. Restaurant was clean. I ordered the big bear chicken fried steak, seemed smaller than I remember, side salad was a little yellow and the baked potato was very dry. . Wife had the chicken salad, it was served well. I would be back to try something different

    I DEFINITELY recommend this diner. Not only was the food amazing but the atmosphere was so nice. The staff were so friendly and welcoming! Our server Rich was amazing and he went the extra mile to make sure our 4 year old daughter had an amazing time. He even bought her a gift from the gift shop just to see her smile. Wow! Thank you for making our daughters day. We will definitely be coming back and making it a regular stop for our family. I’d give them 10 stars if I could.
