What People Are Saying: 5 Customer Reviews

  1. Honestly, I’m hesitant about giving a 5 star review most of the time but I had no questions about giving one for this place. From the service to the food, everything was exceptional. I walked in and the host was pleasant. I was seated in the bar and Charles was OUTSTANDING! Kind, efficient, and just an overall joy. The food runners were kind and engaging. There was not one person who interacted with me that wasn’t a 10/10 on customer service.

    Ambience was 10/10.

The food was exceptional not only exceptional, but appropriately priced. I couldn’t even eat everything I ordered because I’m so used to places giving tiny portions that I ordered to much food. It was fine, though, because the leftovers were amazing reheated.

Bottom line, I’ll be back and I recommend you go as well!!

  2. We had never been here before. There were 4 of us. We tried the Veal Meatballs. French Onion Soup. Crab Cakes, Plum Pork and Coconut Curry Salmon. Key Lime Pie, Apple Pie A La Mode, Bailey’s Cheesecake. The Meatballs were nice. Crab Cakes Dinner wasn’t very filling. The plate looked like food was missing. Ordered a side of broccoli to go with the dinner. Salmon was not hot or spicy for a curry. The plum pork was nice and the sauce was really good. No complaints on the taste of the food. It seemed overpriced for the serving size. We won’t be back.

  3. Good place for weekend brunch or a dinner date. Glad they are back from the tornado damage and pandemic. Now you can order from your phone and specify any allergies. Also added a side walk up window for take away. Make reservations ahead of time to be sure to get a table.

  4. Just when you think the crab cakes are going to be the center of attention for an entree with two basic sides, think again. Every bit of the dish was so delicious. Just when you realize you’ve been taking a hiatus from mashed potatoes because they are becoming oddly similar, and you happen upon them on your dinner plate, you have to take an obligatory sample regardless. These were so good. Piled high, these fluffy white clouds were majestically delightful with basics and potato as the main ingredient. The crab cakes had the perfect blend of meat to real ingredients. The accompanying sauce blended with the flavors very well and was not overwhelming. Fast forward to the show stopper, the green beans. I know. Basic, right? These were not. These long strands of flavor and nutrients were finished with a sear and left with a smoky profile married with the natural tastes of fresh green beans. The pinch of seasoning was on point and the greens were left to their own beautiful devices on your pallet rather than drenched in the entire seasoning shelf as some places will do. The meal was joined with a glass of Chardonnay that was crisp and cold. The ambiance inside was refreshing. The staff were very friendly with customers but obviously confused when trying to figure out where orders need to be delivered. I would enjoy returning here.

  5. Incredible restaurant! I popped in during Saturday brunch and the place was packed. The menu was stacked with classic brunch items. For drinks, the froze is a necessity but the real star was the French onion soup. One of the best I have ever had! Everything my party ordered was delicious and we couldn’t stop raving over how tasty the food was. The owner, Sean, was incredibly hospitable and made sure our experience was nothing but exceptional. Will definitely be back!

We stopped here out of convenience to where we were going and it turned out to be a great find! I would love to get back here for dinner. The quiche is one of the best I’ve ever had. Topped with melted cheese, it just melted in your mouth. Beautiful crusty crust added to the flavor. They have a beautiful menu. Can’t wait to come back!

Food was good but nothing so special that I feel compelled to return. Lamb chops were tasty. Pork chop was okay. Could have benefited from a marinade or brine so it was more tender. Roasted vegetables were nothing special. However, the spinach bacon salad was quite delicious.

We went to Chateau West to celebrate my boyfriend’s birthday, and we were absolutely blown away. Not only by the unbelievable foods, but also the incredible service and peaceful ambiance! I still dream about this food every other day, and we’re counting down the days until we go back!

The sweetest host greeted me at the door and seated me at a table. She was very accommodating (took me to the bar but realized we can put 2 tables together to seat my party). Our server was good but there was something off that the whole table felt… The food was delicious – we tried all different things- smoked salmon, saffron shrimp, duck, beef, the seafood. Two things stick with me – the lobster bisque – did not care for it , not a piece of lobster in it, and the Tennessee version of ille flottant. Do not order those – everything else is a good pick! Recommend!

Nice atmosphere. Small bar. French seating on left. 4 tops in the rest of the place. Nice, rounded menu and wine list, though limited “good” wines by the glass Seared Foie Gras was excellent. Worth a return trip with a nice reduction and some greens to balance the fat. Duck breast was a small, over cooked, portion over unevenly cooked potatoes and the presentation somewhat institutional with the string beans. Trio of desserts was excellent, though the poached pears would be better served with creme Chantilly rather than ice cream. Glad I did not order the cheese platter that the guy next to me ordered. It had Spanish cheeses, no brie or anything soft. Cheeses were drizzled with some strange stuff and looked like it was off the child menu! Wait staff was amateurish considering it is a French restaurant. Myself and the folks next to me at the bar were asked if we wanted to see a dessert menu even though we were not served our entrees yet! My glass of wine was topped off from a different bottle too!

Omg, what a hidden gem. This place is a farm to table restaurant and then changes every day. The service was great. I had a waiter that was a comedian and had the best service. I tried fried rabbit for the first time. The rabbit was so juicy and crispy. As an appetizer I had Prosciutto with blistered shishito peppers. This is a French restaurant with a southern influence.

Easily one of my favorite new restaurants in Nashville. Service was superb, the bread with olive oil and balsamic was absolutely to die for, the carrot soup was rich and perfectly balanced, and the chicken and grits were perfectly cooked. And one of the best cheesecakes I’ve had. This is a no brainer must try restaurant.

The original East Nashville. The standard all other restaurants here aspire to meet. The classic that balances innovation and nostalgia like no one else. You really can’t say enough good things about Margot. Rustic French cuisine with a little southern flair the menu changes almost nightly and I refuse to believe that you can find anything on it not well prepared thoughtfully sourced and beautifully plated. I in particular love their fish dishes and anytime they have duck it’s a must try. Excellent soups like a recent mushroom and lemon offering complement fresh salads like snap peas strawberry beans and feta. Pork chops and steaks also feature frequently. Finally a lovely desert program with a dedicated pastry chef helps round out the meal alongside a coffee or port. The cocktails don’t get alot of love overshadowed by the extensive wine selection but they really have an excellent bar program that compliments dishes like no other restaurant on the east side. Servers are super friendly and knowledgeable. The kitchen is fast despite being so small and the seating is comfortable and intimate. I adore the little two tops lining the 2nd floor. To top it all off the prices are really decent for the quality and type of restaurant you could spend almost as much over at bartaco for a much less intimate and lesser menu. Margot is an excellent date night location or for a small group of friends. You are in the heart of 5 points so there are some paid lots or you might get lucky with free street parking. The location only adds to the charm since after your excellent meal you can grab a night cap at one of the local bars.

The service was wonderful. The food came out quick and the price very reasonable. Much better than Husk where we were at last night. The service was great there too but their prices much higher for what I think food that wasn’t much better. The braised beef rib was very good. Would come here again

Had a wonderful meal here the other night. The green sauce that the chickpea fritters come in is gold. The fresh focaccia bread perfect. More than anything though, Naomi took wonderful care of us. High marks all around. I had the (juiciest) chicken with a green goddess dressing – pictured below.
