This location had EXCELLENT customer service. I, like any other American, love my rotisserie chicken. It’s what gets me relaxed after a long day of driving. The kitchen stops cooking rotisserie chickens at 7PM, but I would arriving in Galveston at approximately 7:30 PM. So, I decided to call ahead at about 10AM in order to reserve myself a rotisserie chicken. I didn’t expect it to work because I had never tried it before, but, to my surprise, it did, and the lady on the phone was extremely kind and easy to work with. Thanks to her, I will be able to effectively relax tonight. 11/10 service. This Kroger will be my go-to grocery store in Galveston from now on.
I’ve seen cleaner, more functional restrooms at strip clubs and Indian 7/11’s than this dump of a grocery store. You might as well soil yourself while wading in the sea. Kroger is a multi-billion dollar company that can’t even meet government standards in sanitation.
Clean store. Staff is always friendly and helpful. The store has trouble staying stocked, likely due to tourists. I place an order & they will be out the next day. Great selection of fresh produce and healthy foods. They also need to add more basket returns on the east side of the store.
They close BEFORE 11. Clearly says 11 on the doors but they don’t care! Just needed a few things but it doesn’t matter apparently. I shop here almost everyday. Walmart it is! It’s not a restaurant. I didn’t show up with 5 minutes left expecting them to cook for me. Ridiculously false advertising
Really poor experience with Kroger’s delivery. Ordered groceries and waited for them to arrive. At one point, the driver texted me they were waiting with my order on the other side of the complex at a different building. I called the number, but they did not pick up. I then got a message that the order had been canceled “by the customer.” I called the new number they gave me where it said I could talk to customer service.
I called customer service and they said I would be charged for the full order because an attempt was made to deliver, but the customer canceled after the order had left the store. I explained to them that I had not canceled the order. I would know if I had done that. They told me, “Well, the system says it was canceled by the customer.”
They transfered me to the store and I spoke with Jordan, who again told me it is their policy that the customer gets charged for any order that leaves the store. I told him I wanted the order and I did not cancel it. He said his system says otherwise.
So, long story short, their drivers can apparently mark in the system that an order is “refused by the customer.” Even though they never made it to my home, even though I had been sitting next to my front window all afternoon and I would have seen anyone approaching my door, and even though I never canceled the order, Kroger’s shady delivery drivers get to claim that an order was canceled and the store gets to pocket that money. For all I know, the driver left Kroger’s and then sat at the beach for twenty minutes and then went back to the store claiming that I had refused the order.
Really shady scam going on at Kroger’s. At the end of the call, Jordan asked me if there were any concerns or questions he could answer and I told him, “At this point, I have a lot of questions and concerns, but it doesn’t seem like anyone is interested in addressing them.” He responded with, “Okay, then have a wonderful rest of your day.” *Click*
Really pathetic. Stay away from Kroger’s unless you want money stolen from your bank account.
