  2. Came to get some soil for my garden. I purchased it and they had a gentleman come with me to get the soil. I bought two. I grabbed a bag and the employee grabbed me a bag that i later found out was open and only half full… if I would’ve seen it I would have said something but he threw it in the back of my truck so… It’s not expensive but like…. customer service…. if you noticed it was opened, grab another bag…. because now I don’t have the amount of soil I needed.

  3. Ace Hardware in Gulf Shores is amazing. I have had keys I could find nowhere else but they figured out how to make them, even if they did not have the exact blanks. On one I had to go back and have them re-cut at no charge but then they worked great. A fairly tall younger man was there on Sunday, John maybe was his name, really knew how to do it but most of them can. They did a lot of work for a $1.82 charge per key.

  4. Honestly, the people are very nice and helpful, but getting a normal apartment key made is difficult. Tried twice with no luck. It’s not a hard key to make. Tried to say it’s hard to make a copy when it’s not from the original. I have been in some form of real estate for decades and have had keys copied many many times from not the original key.

  5. Always the place to get the hard to find short fused need it now items. Friendly local store with helpful staff ready to assist. Hardware supply store done very well!

    I try to support Ace instead of the bigger stores, but the last few times have been disappointing. Some prices can be a good amount higher for certain products, while others are similar. It’s out of my way, but I went there for the Benjamin Moore paint sample sale but the paint machine was down. How convenient. I went to another location the next day, even longer drive, but the sale had ended and I ended up paying twice as much. I got one sample instead of two like I planned because they were out of them, plus I didn’t want to pay that much. BM is still having a 50% off sale until 3/31 but not at Ace.

    The service is good and that makes all the difference. This little gem of a hardware store is tucked close to downtown Madison, making it convenient. The foot traffic is never very bad and the staff is always helpful. I’ve always found parking plentiful and have never left the store without what I needed.

    Was looking at Stihl blowers and the folks there helped me to perfection! Had answers to my questions, suggestions to consider, helped me choose the right blower for me (NOT the one I was looking at) and boy am I glad. After using it, they were right – the one I was looking at was wrong for me. Excellent service as always. That’s why I shop there! 100% satisfied customer.
