What People Are Saying: 5 Customer Reviews

  1. This place is a mess!!! The customer service in the isles is horrible nobody’s there answering any questions or helping you find stuff !!! THEY ACTUALLY WALK AWAY FROM YOU WHEN YOU ASK THEM A QUESTION THIS PLACE NEEDS A TOTAL RE-do it’s a run down hardware store the only reason I gotta go there is because I’m working so close to it . The prices are not anything special THE ONLY REASON I GAVE THEM ONE STAR IS BECAUSE the cash register employees are nice and fast had some good deals on tiles but this Home Depot is for roughing out a home not good for getting finish product.TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE !!!! THE ONE ON FOREST AVE IS 100 times better!!!

  2. When I came to pick up an order, Paul and the manager solved an issue in a creative way. They saved me from having to make another trip. I work a lot so it meant a great deal to me. I will always go to this location. Top notch customer service makes it the best.

  3. I shop here all the time and buy paint multiple times a week. The person behind the paint counter should absolutely not be working there (Raj or Rahj). He has the worst attitude I’ve ever seen for a sales associate and clearly hates his job.

He doesn’t acknowledge people when they’re standing at the counter, no hello , no ‘sorry I’m busy can you give me a minute’, nothing. My first encounter with him involved 4 customers waiting while he went to get his Wendy’s order from the back. He came back, ate his fries, did a few things on his computer – doesn’t say anything to anyone. We’re all looking at each other because we’ve never experienced anything like this and he’s not phased at all. When you do get service, he expects you to know everything and acts annoyed if you don’t.

Today was the best, I’m waiting for 5 minutes for Rahj , or anyone actually, to show up to the paint desk. He finally strolls up, looks up something on the computer and then leaves. Who cares that several customers are waiting right? He comes back a few minutes later and then makes a comment that “It would be nice if you were standing in front of me”.

Home Depot, you can do better than this. I don’t so much care that I needed to wait for someone but it’s the attitude that bothers me. Vet your people , train them better, do whatever it takes to keep people from not wanting to switch to another store or vendor. I actually DON’T look forward to going to that store anymore because of these interactions.

  4. I recently visited The Home Depot and I have to say, I was thoroughly impressed. The store had a wide selection of tools, appliances, and other products for all of my home improvement needs.
The store was well-organized and easy to navigate,
with clear signage and helpful staff available to answer any questions I had. I
was particularly impressed with the tool selection – everything from power
tools to hand tools was available, with a wide variety of brands to choose
    from.
The appliance section was also impressive, with a
great selection of refrigerators, stoves, and other large appliances. The
prices were competitive, and the staff was knowledgeable and helpful in helping
me find the right product for my needs.
But what really set The Home Depot apart was the range of other products
available. From paint and flooring to outdoor furniture and gardening supplies,
the store had everything I needed to complete my home improvement projects.
The customer service was also outstanding. The staff
    was friendly and approachable.

  5. I went there to buy a few things which I tried to find myself but couldn’t find I ask one lady where I can find them and I need help. The lady said I am the wrong person and the person working in hardware is on a break. Then ask another one and she said let me find someone to help you but after some time she came back to me and said the person working there is on a break. After a few failed attempts while spending 1&1/2 hours, I left the store, and one of the ladies at the checkout while I asked for help didn’t bother whether I found it or not and tried to ignore it.
This is not the first time it happens a lot.
This needs to be addressed because a lot of buyers are ordinary people who buy stuff for their workers and they don’t know about the products. There should be a help desk where customers should go straight to it and get help stead of going after the person for help.

Unfortunately, this is one of the worst Home Depots in Staten Island. The issue is with the staff not the brand of the availability of items for sale. The staff will not help you no matter what happens. Especially the African America staff be it a cashier or an associate. They would just give any excuse to get rid of you as soon as possible and start chatting with each other or just use their mobile devices. I wonder what the Branch Manager is doing! The Home Depot is a great brand and has been serving people for a very long time. There are much better Home Depot outlets in different parts of the country. But this is the worst!

I ordered 5 doors to be installed in one day. I waited 2 months for delivery. The day of installation, one was the wrong size. This necessitated many calls to customer service, where I was put on hold, then disconnected. I received a call back 2 days later. The door 2 weeks later. For another door, the installers did not bring the correct tool. So, another day of waiting. I requested a credit of some sort, for all my wasted time. The asst manager was incredibly rude, and just said No. In the future, I will NEVER spend my money at Home Depot. So disappointing!

Went in with co worker to buy material to make a small platform in the rear of a company cars so not to ruin the interior once the back seats are down putting equipment inside. They had everything that was needed to make a nice functional platform, on sale too. Good deal

Made an order online for pick up. They had ample stock but 10 days passed and it’s still not ready. How is a 10 days wait for something they have on the shelves acceptable??!!??!!?? Update After almost 1 month still no pick up date. I cancelled. Disgusting service.
