We have all had that experience in a wireless store not knowing what we’re signing up for. That’s why I went with my mom to help her out. I found the most helpful gentleman named Malik. He was as straight forward as could be and could not care less what he sells you. He wants you to get what you want. Helpful and patient throughout the entire process. Even over multiple days when we had to come back in due to a Verizon wireless system glitch to no fault of their own. Props for being true salesman and not the slightest bit swindlers. Verizon needs more employees like him working in every store. Before becoming a good customer service person, you need to be a good human being, and that’s what Maleik is. He gets us, he knows what we are going through, he gives us exactly what we need, he answers all our questions, and most of all he’s very patient. Please keep him at this store, forever in your company. Unlike all the horrible customer service and racism we have experienced, he’s the only good thing that happened. Thank you, Maleik, keep up the good work and the great person you are, not many people exist like you. Update: So, I wanted to make a few corrections because I do not want anyone to be misinformed or offended . I understand that the word RACISM is a very harsh word and should be used only in extreme situations, however I did experience racism during the process of trying to sign up with Verizon. I had to go back and forth to about 5 different Verizon stores to get the job done and the reason why I said I hated this store is mainly because of that, being the local Verizon store, they couldn’t get us signed up, and our questions weren’t answered properly, we were more confused than we were enlightened, we had to go to the best buy in Simi Valley to get it done and compared to the rest of the employees that helped us, Maleik is very knowledgeable in his work and that’s the the reason why we wanted to share our experience. Anyways, I did not want to mention any person or store in particular when it comes to the racism part. Please remember, every race has racists, not just white. There are good and bad people in every race and I have nothing against any race in particular. I went to Verizon to get a quote, as I was looking to switch carriers. It turned out that they were nearly DOUBLE my current rate for a similar unlimited plan and identical phones.
The store itself was very clean, and other than some printer problems, things seemed to be operating well. I found it a bit strange that they had a guard posted near the entrance. I’m not sure what kind of trouble they’ve had in the past, but it seemed excessive.
Went to this Verizon store two weeks in a row and the youngest representative every time has some type of attitude as if he was annoyed that he had to actually do his job and assisting others. The female manager was absolutely no help whatsoever as she wasn’t giving direct answers to our questions. The one representative that was actually decent in his job and willing to help was busy with another costumer so that’s why we had those other representatives help us, but overall all our interactions in this store have been negative due to the unprofessionalism their workers had. When we went to a different location who was actually helpful it made us wonder why another corporate store was able to assist but not the Simi Valley Town Center Verizon if they were under the same branch.
Sold me a plan with data that disconnects constantly. No issues with AT&T. Followed their instructions to get 3 different levels of customer support over the course of several weeks because I specifically wanted Verizon service, it’s better in the areas I go, theoretically. Due to my patience I ended up (foolishly) paying the first month’s bill and activation fee. If I had canceled before then, I would not have paid. Buuuut I patiently dealt with customer support, only for the issue to not be resolved, and then be told I could not get my activation fee refunded because of POLICY. Policies really are the best, it’s how corporations make themselves sound moral while they are pounding you.

I came to the store to resolve a problem with my cellular data. I only had to wait a few minutes to get help and I didn’t make any appointment. Edgar went through all the troubleshooting steps he needed to before diagnosing the issue and giving me clear solutions. He was honest about prices and didn’t pressure me to buy anything immediately. I’ll come back to this store
I went into the store because someone had stolen my identity and I needed a hard copy of the account to complete the police report. He was no help on trying to locate any of the information I needed to complete the police report.The individual next t him just stood there playing on his phone. The customer service was awful and I would not recommend ever going to this verizon or verizon in general. If you’re not there to buy something they’re not there to help.
