  1. I never really took Dollar General seriously until recently. Always figured it to be more of a “convenience store” that had a wide variety of basic products at higher prices. But after finding many things I’ve needed there for really decent prices, I’ve had to adjust my attitude. Last summer, I bought Simple Green cleaner from Home Depot to scrub the roof of my motorhome before re-rubberizing it. That same day I found Deep Purple(or whatever its called) cleaner at Dollar General for a fraction of the price. Both cleaners are basically the same thing under different names. Since that time I’ve returned to Dollar General several times to find other really good deals(comparatively to other local vendors). So I do recommend Dollar General. As always though, shop around.

  3. Decent prices on paper goods, trashbags, soda. Etc
    They had some toilet paper when.nobody else did. It fills a niche
    During the week any purchase gets you a $5
    Coupon good on a Saturday purchase of $25.

  4. Shelves are always stocked, wonderful staff, helpful as always. These employees have always been great. Food items, sheets, diapers, dog and cat food, kitchen items, beauty items and more. Good store for less money.

  5. This store has a lot of everyday items. Paper towels, beer, health and beauty items, seasonal products, clothing, baby items, cleaning products, automotive products, bath towels, gardening tools and supplies, candy, dvds, dairy, frozen foods, no fresh foods and so much more. Some of the selves, while full, are in a state of disarray. Some shelves, it’s hard to tell where one product starts and ends. The cashier was left alone to tend the whole store.
    It looks like some families might do their weekly grocery shopping there. They do take ebt cards, cash, and credit cards.
    While kinda disarray, it is convenient to drop by for a lot of daily items. A one-stop store.

    The store itself is ok, but they have a horrible time keeping employees and most of the ones they currently have are not the best. The lady we had made an error. I discovered it and pointed it out and she had to do a return to get me my money back and she puts as the reason for return “did not want” when in fact she forgot to void out her error. She was also rude, dismissive, and lacked in customer service skills

    There are many people in our community that the low cost options offered. I don’t like the layout or many of the products, but it does offer milk and many other food items. They are also well stocked on cleaning supplies. Lots of people complained when it went in, but it’s always busy. I’d rather have it be a local business, such as other places across the street, but it is better than nothing. A reasonable and predictable shopping experience.
