I have personally named Edward “Southport Target Ambassador”. He is always there stocking the shelves and telling us about discounts, sales and food that is marked down. He even personally hands us the items after he scans them to double check the price. A few weeks ago he had quite a crowd. We saved a fortune on brown rice for example and all kinds of vacuum sealed meal packs, sauces, condiments. I am set for the entire summer and I saved a fortune. This guy is a super employee. He cares about his customers and he is NICE. He always makes us smile. It is not inviting AT ALL! I feel very unwelcome when I walk in and very enclosed and all I want to do is get what I came for and leave. When I use to go to Target regularly it was to walk around see what’s new and what’s on sale and after going in numerous times since the remodel, I still get the same feeling; uninvited, enclosed and crammed. My husband and 3 kids said the same thing, we all hate the new layout, just awful and uninviting.By Carrie S (5 months ago)The in-store Target experience, overall, has gone downhill since the renovation at our local store. It is no longer a welcoming layout that draws me into the store. The layout is quite choppy which doesn’t create positive feelings. It also is messier than it ever was prior to the renovation. I would solely blame customers for this, but it wasn’t like this pre-Reno. I’m not sure if staffing has been cut because of the renovation? For these reasons, we no long do our weekly Target trips to wander around inside and browse. Instead, when we do shop at Target, we opt for pickups and shipping instead. This is a very nice location. The store is clean, organized and the staff is nice. They have a great snack grab and go section in the front of the store. The lay out of the store is also nice and makes it easy to maneuver. I highly recommend you shop at this location.
Target needs to do a better job at not being so apparently biased! I walk in looking for an item (trigger #1) undercover security was following me. I didn’t see what I was looking for so I started looking for something similar throughout the store. I decided on a similar item that I located. I proceeded to self checkout where a rep was stocking outside of self checkout (trigger #2) I entered self checkout where other customers were present checking out and I noticed that the same rep that was outside stocking, was now in self checkout literally 4 feet away from me…. The only difference between the customers that were already in self checkout and myself was the fact that I was the only minority! (Trigger #3) All over a $24 purchase. Very disappointed!
This is the largest Target I’ve ever seen. It was clean and well organized. They did have a lot of lanes open. They had a line for the fitting room so it would have been nice if the second fitting room was open so we didn’t have to wait so long to try things on. That had a large selection.
Nice and clean target that is well stocked and staffed decently. The staff that I have interacted with have been pleasant and attentive. I do like the layout and find navigating the store to be fairly easy.
Got a TV online that had a hole, we didn’t realize until a couple days after the return window was up but we came in and EVERYONE on the team was super nice, helpful, and went out of their way to help us get the situation figured out. We left feeling VERY happy and thankful:) Thank you guys!
