What People Are Saying: 5 Customer Reviews

  1. I came into the Cellular SalesVerizon store having problems with my Motorola one and decided to upgrade to a Galaxy S22. Linwood was very helpful in setting it up and I would recommend the store if you’re needing a new phone or service on your existing one.

  2. Terrible experience with customer service at this location. They said they would waive activation fees, but did not. Experienced significant issues with porting my number requiring hours on the phone with customer service. My trade in credit was not applied to one line; spent more hours on phone with customer service. I was supposed to be eligible for a rebate, but was not told about it. I learned about later from Verizon customer service, but it was too late to get; out $1000. Pitiful customer service. Regret switching from AT&T.

More on 1/29/23: Verizon replied with an “I’m sorry” post and offered to reach out; I filled out their contact form and over a week later, I have yet to hear from them. As I stated before, terrible customer service.

  3. I want to start this review by saying my family and business has used Verizon for 20+ years. We believed for a long time that they had some of the best coverage/customer service. Unfortunately, it seems both have gone down the drain. We visited this location today in the hopes of getting our phones fixed. We’ve been having little to no service on our phones for the last several months. This was unacceptable considering we have a business that relies on our cell phones. Initially when I went to the store a couple days ago a rep reset my network setting, patted me on the back and told me “that should fix it”. The very next day same terrible service. As we walked into this location today we were greet by a different rep. This one seemed even less inclined to hear our frustrations than the first. Without even looking at my phone or running a diagnostic on my phone he had determined that I should go to the Apple Store for repairs. It was “clearly a IPhone issue”. Considering my mother doesn’t own an iPhone and she was having the same issues I was left unsatisfied by his less than enthusiastic service to help us. He stated “call tech support we are just a store”. After waiting several minutes on hold we felt that our rep could no longer be bothered by our clear frustration with our issues. Offering zero customer service in this day in age is unacceptable. He clearly didn’t care about our problems and wanted to shrug us off. It’s truly disappointing he is meant to be the face of customer interactions while in the store. We couldn’t be more unsatisfied with this service.

Side note: We came home to call tech support and our calls dropped 3 times.

  4. EDIT: And their response is basically just “Sorry🤷‍♀️” Fix your customer service!!! THIS IS A REPEAT ISSUE IN THE REVIEWS THE LAST FEW MONTHS. TAKE A HINT!

Don’t go into the store to set up a new phone. It’s not worth it. I know their customer service reps are awful and will tell you to give them the same 3 numbers 5 times before they can put it in the right spot in their system, but they’re sales reps in the store do the exact same thing and still put you on the phone with those customer service reps AND will charge you $30. Save your $30 and do it yourself or just switch to a different service. Verizon isn’t doing anything about their customer service reps being unhelpful because it makes you want to go in so they can get ANOTHER $30 out of you. Just don’t.

  5. I visited this store to see if they could provide a device for internet. They started the order and we mutually decided it would not work. I left the store. Now Im paying 80 bucks a month to keep them from destroying my credit while I file a cliam with BBB. I will soon hire a lawyer and sue each person involved with this theft if it does not stop. THIS is WHY PEOPLE hate salespeople. I will fight this even if it costs me money.

Absolutely the worst experience we’ve ever had with a business. We purchased a phone online and picked it up at the express pick up at this location. When we walked inside to get help transferring data and to ask questions about our bill, we were greeted by a guy with a mullet that acted like he didn’t have time to help us because we had already purchased the phone. As soon as they realized they weren’t going to make a big commission off of us they acted like we didn’t exist and just wrote down numbers and websites for us to go to. We are considering switching to a different provider simply because of the way we were treated here. Would not recommend to ANYONE.

Worst customer service ever. 4 employees in empty store playing on their cell phone. I stood for 30 minutes before they acknowledged I was there. I was asked if I was making an in store purchase I told them that I had made an online purchase. And from that moment on it seemed like all I was was trouble. No one had time to help me. I literally had to call Verizon wireless from the Verizon parking lot on 2 different occasions. Verizon wireless sold me a new phone but then told me they couldn’t help me transfer my phones. Couldn’t help me do a backup and just didn’t have time to help me.. Thanks to AT&T right across the street for helping me set up my phone explaining to me what my phone does all the features it had and walking me through it like AT&T sold it to me but Verizon did thank you guys this store is the worst location for customer service I have ever seen and because of their employees I’m switching from Verizon to AT&T. If you need help with anything if you want to walk across the street and see Jennifer at AT&T oh my God they’re so friendly over there.

I had an awesome experience at this store but I was a little concerned about the $29 setup&go fee that was being applied to my bill I wasn’t aware or told about it until I looked at my receipt but other then that it was a wonderful experience and I want to say thank you to Evan for helping me with my new phone

45 min wait to ask 1 simple question with one of the employees sitting on the ground playing video games saying he can’t help. Instead just still playing video games. Than after coming up to me asking after 45mins if I want help. What kind of place is this.

I cannot recommend this corporate location to anyone with a clear conscience. As long as you are there to make a purchase you are treated very well. Otherwise, I’ve never been able to get real answers to real questions from anyone. I have been to this location a dozen times or so in the past 13 to 14 years. And not once have I had a great experience as a customer. You may be asking why have I stuck with Verizon? The answer is I’ve tried alternatives and they’re not any better.

My wife and I have enjoyed multiple enjoyable and helpful experiences with the Edison team at Bearden Hill (Matt, Kristen, Josh Nd Tyler, to name a few). But Josh Steele stands out. He works with us tirelessly for more than 2 hours on Apple issues with an iPad and an iPhone, working diligently with Apple and Verizon level 1 and 2 technical support people. We stayed almost to closing, but he managed the process well and delivered excellent customer service, as well as 100% rectifying our situation. We really appreciated his hard work and commitment to customer service. Chuck and Laura

Second time I got a great deal on an iPhone from Cellular. Rep Robbie Willis was awesome getting me a great deal trading in my old iPhone 10 XS and Apple Watch SE FOR A 14 and New Apple Watch 7. And my monthly bill only increased a few dollars. Awesome. Robbie was extremely knowledgeable of both the equipment and the offers.

I had the most amazing experience yesterday. After sustaining water damage to my cell phone during my family vacation to SC, I had completely lost hope that my phone would ever work again. I saw my screen go from working to glitching to completely black this after storing it in rice and silica gel for 2 days. Due to not adequately backing up my data, it seemed I had lost so much stuff accumulated over the years and would never retrieve again. I was so sad and then I remembered that I had a SIM card and a microSD chip in my ancient phone. By then I had spoken to 3 customer service reps that gave no helpful direction and led me to believe that my only option was to get a new phone. Well yesterday we were returning home from our travels when we detoured to have lunch at our favorite restaurant across the street from this Verizon store location. I took a chance and called just to see if anyone could check to see if my SIM card and microSD chip were still functional and perhaps had any data I could retrieve. I spoke to John who was also so helpful and he referred me to the service center. I went there immediately and that is where I met Dave Jones. My first impression was his calm and confident demeanor and his warm smile. He assured me that my SIM card and MicroSD Port were functional and when I explained the rest of my story I then learned 2 things. That I found myself in a rare Verizon store that has in store full repair service and that a copy of my ancient phone was in stock! Dave told me he would swap out my screen and to give him 25 to 30 minutes. When I returned my phone was working again. I was elated! The repair was a little pricey but so well worth it. I went from being completely hopeless that my phone would ever work again to holding my phone in my hand completely functional like nothing ever happened and all this in less than 1 hour! Dave was a complete professional and solved my problem 100%. Even thinking about it now I can hardly believe it. I am beyond grateful and my expectations superseded! I now have time to make sure my phone is adequately backed up before I buy my next phone. Thank you so much Dave and special thanks as well to John. Dave Jones you deserve 100 stars!

Went there twice in two days. Once to get a phone for myself after mine died, and the next day because my mother’s phone was acting up. Very helpful and knowledgeable staff. Ethan Little was very helpful to my mom, and explained a bunch of arcane Apple stuff to her.

Salesman was great but Verizon support wasted 4 hours of our time and was never able to get cell network to work with my number after 3 different phones. I have moved my service to Xfinity. They were cheaper and they use the Verizon network. I will never use Verizon again.
