I went to kohl’s store on Hamilton to and tried to buy a Lancôme lipstick. There was a sales sticker for $16.00 for the lipstick that I wanted to buy. When I went to the cashier to pay and the cashier said this item is $32.00. I told her that the sales sticker showed $16.00. The cashier called her manager Wendy to come to correct the price. Wendy came and told me that she can’t sell the item to me for $16.00. I asked her why not because the price sticker indicated $16.00. She took off the on sales sticker and blamed someone put the sticker there. She didn’t honor the sales price and rejected to sell it to me for $16.00. I went home and searched for that item and saw the item on sales at kohl’s for $16.00. I took a picture of it and went to kohl’s. When I arrived the cashier told me that she trusted me and the item is on for $16.00. But again Wendy is still rejecting to sale it to me with $16.00 and she she told me go somewhere else to buy and this item as the price is $32.00. I told her that I don’t care somewhere else as I went to kohl’s at the item is on sale. After complaining, it ended up she sold 1 to me for $16.00 instead of 4 items that I want to buy. I’m really unhappy and disappointed that Kohl’s didn’t honor the displayed and advertised price. This is “bait and switch” and is illegal; even beyond that, the manager was unprofessional and said “someone”
changed the price in an accusatory tone. This is unacceptable. Be aware of this lady Wendy. She turned her back when I took her picture.
Love the selection of clothes at great prices. Store is clean with room to move around. Plenty of parking. Most of all, every employee that I have dealt with was extra friendly. They make sure you get any discount they can give you.
They do not offer price matches as mentioned on Kohl’s website even tho I showed the staff that the product model is the same. The argument was that the original price was different. What logic this is that she looked at the price instead of the product model. Don’t waste your time coming here if you’re looking for that.
I went to the store to return an item I had purchased online. The clerk was courteous and efficient and, by the way, the refund posted to my account in just two or three days.
