  2. I wish I could give more than five stars to Ace Hardware Federal Hill! The people there are so kind and so helpful. I was having trouble on a home project and they helped me identify exactly what I needed. And when they didn’t have quite enough of the specific fasteners I needed in stock, they helped me locate where I could order more of them. It’s basically the plot of Miracle on 34th Street, except without Santa and with flanged screw insert nuts.

    Went into the store at 7:56 to find some paint in a designated color. Cashier “Ian,” said that they couldn’t do it because they were about to close and he already put the paint machine down. Unacceptable, as long as the store is open for business, the customer should be able to be helped. Just because you want to “get off on time” doesn’t mean that you should turn away a customer. If the store is open, it is open for service, no matter what the service is. The paint machine should go down AFTER business hours.

    Staff member Ian turned me away from getting paint made, Because I got there 6 minutes before closing. Note: I sat inside of the parking lot for the next 15 mins watching people come out of the store, clearly Ian could have made my paint. Not to mention I’ve been living In the waverly community for 39 years, I am no stranger to shopping at ACE hardware. Today was my last day to ever walk inside of ACE hardware again.

    Ace Hardware Waverly has what you need. The assistors are very helpful, some more than others but no different then going to a Home Depot. They may work there but not everybody knows what they are talking about. Ben the cat is a welcomed surprise & a treat for the little ones. Let’s just call this one Little Home Depot. It’s close and carries everything. Plants, smaller pcs of wood, dowels, gas dryer parts, tile sealant, etc.

    All the staff are so helpful and really go out of their way to make sure you have the right product for the project you are trying to complete. They also have really lovely plants right now!

    Purchased a product listed for $5.99. Rung out $6.99. Returned to the store to inform the cashier I was overcharged. Her response “oh this happens all the time, because prices change all the time” I know one customer does not make a difference, but when this practice is practiced throughout the day, the week, the month and the year it adds up. Practice honesty!! No one likes being taken advantage of especially the Seniors. We can’t afford it!!
