Verizon service has gone from 100% to next to nothing within 1 year ago. Everytime you call they give you a different story, it’s always a problem with your phone, it’s never their problem let’s upgrade you. Verizon has no intentions of upgrading or adding towers. Like many others we’re tired of paying for a service that we do not receive. Always wanting to sell you a new phone, or upgrade your plan instead of helping you with the issue, it doesn’t matter which location or official Verizon store they’re all the same. I understand everywhere has some dead pockets, but Verizon is having too many too often. We arrived at the store looking to either upgrade or buy a new phone and first there was no pricing anywhere so we HAD to ask for help, and some people are just not great at customer service. He provided no information aside from what we specifically asked and just really not all the friendly. We felt pretty uncomfortable and didn’t feel like we were going to get good informative service, so we left. Went to the store on 1/27/23 just past 10am. There were customers being helped by 4 Verizon employees. When one customer left and already with 2 customers in line the employee disappeared. Another rep was trying to straighten out a display shelf. The guy that was in the back came back but instead of helping customers he was fussing with the same shelf. When that was finally done, both disappeared in the back not to be seen again. By this time 6 customers were waiting. I left frustrated, tired of dealing with arrogant employees who treat customers as chopped liver. The manager was in the store the whole time helping a customer. He took no action to direct his troops. I assume the employees are ‘self directed’. I am seriously considering if I should switch to Verizon, my current provider at least recognizes me as a valued customer.
Not all Verizon stores are good. I went to one and she reset my phone without even asking she said we need to do a reset and reset it without even backing up anything. But the one on Dysart and 101 is excellent and so is the 1 in surprise
We had an appointment for our visit and still waited an hour for someone to help us. Finally we were very fortunate because the guy that helped us was great. And very helpful. Verizon unfortunately does not seem to care about there existing customers no breaks for us. Just gave us an increase in our bills this year. Yet they advertise 25.00 a line new customers. And the service in my area is terrible. They say they are working on this we need more towers. Definitely if you have an old Sims card get a new one it helps.
All of a sudden, we did not have service. We came in and waited over an hour, as always. Finally talked to a guy and he said a new Sim card might help. I was skeptical. But, both our phones work perfectly now!
How often does that happen?!
Wish I could give ZERO stars. This is our 2nd experience of terrible service from a corporate Verizon. If you want great service, a place that actually helps, and an authorized Verizon dealer take a drive East down Bell Rd to 16487 W Bell Rd Ste 101, Surprise, AZ 85374…excellent service by people that care.
