What People Are Saying: 5 Customer Reviews

  1. I booked my car in for a service and to fix a windscreen chip. While I was waiting around I saw a steady stream of customers coming into the store and everyone had a poor attitude and feeling entitled to be loud & demanding. I have to commend the professional customer service Danika and Peter had delivered. I would definitely recommend this branch.

  2. Great service from Marilyn. Spoke to her about a bike for my godson yesterday. Went back today and bought the bike she recommended. Sadly , Marilyn was not there at the time I was. She recommended the perfect bike. She was friendly, professional and very jovial. The bike was a good price also. Service was great. Very much recommend you go see Marilyn when you are buying a bicycle.

  3. Halfords are really bad, and it’s not just this Halfords store but others too. I went in for a puncture repair (£14) at 8am, only for the same wheel that they ‘fixed’ to go flat less than 1 hour after ‘fixing’.

The problem with Halfords is that they will try to get your bike fixed in 20 minutes however if there is another problem such as faulty brakes they will force you to book an appointment which will most likely be on another day.

They used to be worse in 2021 when they wouldn’t even give you a paper receipt and you had to give them your email address for a receipt which resulted in them spamming you with unwanted emails.

Do not waste your time and money with any Halfords store and instead go to an independent retailer who will spend more time and do the job properly.

I started using Halfords less and less when my local store closed down and found that independent retailers do a much better job. The only reason why I go to Halfords is if I am far from where I live and Halfords is the nearest retailer. In this scenario my last puncture was on 25 September (fixed by an independent retailer), the next one was on 14 November (yesterday) only for the same problem to happen today. In contrast my previous puncture was on 4 September, when I went to the Brixton store the next day the tyre still went flat the next day. I tried calling them however their calling system is really bad as they don’t display their phone number on Google Maps, and when I went again they still charged me for the labour cost for the second repair, which only lasted 3 weeks until I had another puncture, hence proving my point that Halfords are sloppy and never do the job properly. Do not waste your time at Halfords, get your bike fixed at an independent retailer, as it will save you money in the long term!

  4. Muhammad asked me if i needed any assistance. He was very helpful finding me the correct car oil for my cars and was kind enough to bring all three to the counter.

Marlyn at the check out asked if I was a member of the motor club and I said no. She said it’s free and I could save £5 if I signed up so she signed me up in no time and I got my £5 off the total bill. She was very polite and patient with me whilst I was giving her my details.

Both staff members get 5* for their customer service and friendly approach.

  5. Collected new bike for my daugther from Hendon branch – good variety in stock. Jack was friendly and knowledgeable and provided great customer service. Thank you.
