I am sure that the riverbank trails and exhibits used to be very nice but they have not seen much repair since the flooding in 2011. The building itself is nice and has air conditioning. The parking lot is a good size with pull through RV spaces and there is even a sewage dump station. I don’t know much about Brandon but after spending a few days here it seems like downtown, parks and facilities are under utilized and under maintained.

Love this place to walk around relax and enjoy some peace and quiet… great place to take kids for some educational trail walking… Don’t forget to check out the Discovery center building for interactive learning.

It’s a beautiful place to take a walk in the nature and enjoy occasional celebration through out the year such as Canada day celebration. They have a gift shop and information center that prompts tourism in Brandon. If you are visiting Brandon, you should come to this place first. I like coming here for walk in the evening.

Probably wouldn’t recommend this travel agent or use again. Booked a trip on referral by agent. Was told it was a 4.5 star hotel , turns out it a old dated 3 star resort. I don’t think things like the elevator wouldn’t work in the building 4 days out of 7 and We where on the fourth floor if this was an actual 4.5 star . A lot of public washroom toilets through out the resort didn’t flush on a regular basis leaving them very nasty. The Nexus shuttle services really made you feel you were in a 3rd world country. The driver refused to pull over during our 1 hour 45 min shuttle back to airport and after begging him he finally pulled over so my wife could pee on side of a very busy highway instead of the many gas station washrooms he refused to stop at. Yes the hotel ratings, and shuttle transportation were on sell of vacations recommendations from Agent Mary. Also noted an employee looking for a container to fill with orange 🍊 juice…. he dug one out of garbage 🗑 , gave it a quick rinse of tap water , put his mouth on it and tried blow in it as it was sort of crushed. He then filled it up with juice and put it amongst the other containers of juice and carted it into the restaurant. Also various kitchen staff would use public washrooms and walk back into the kitchens without washing there hand’s Thanks Sell Off Vacations we were also laughed at by some of the resort travel agents when they found out how much we paid and said for those prices we could have stayed at a true 4.5 star hotel for an even longer sta. They admittedly told us there’s was in fact 3☆.

We have used Sell Off in Brandon for years and have for the most part until last year had alot of positive interactions. There was a lady there last year that for lack of a better term left us all but on our own when concerns with our trip arose. We had planned on booking elsewhere but found out that Sam was back and knowing that we went back and found that Sam and her team have things back to top notch and have addressed all previous concerns. So glad to have Sam and her team local as nothing beats a friendly face that you can walk in and talk to to plan family fun in the sun. Glad to see things are back on track 🙂

My experience with the Brandon office were great! They were friendly and worked very hard at finding the best route and deal for us. They were always available. Brittney was handling our flight search, and if she was out of the office, she would let me know ahead of time and also tell me who else I could talk to. I would definitely use their services again.

Top Travel Agent Alternatives in Brandon

A travel agency is a private retailer or public service that provides travel and tourism-related services to the general public on behalf of accommodation or travel suppliers to offer different kinds of travelling packages for each destination. Travel agencies can provide outdoor recreation, arranging logistics for luggage and medical items delivery for travellers upon request, public transport timetables, car rentals, and bureau de change services. Travel agencies can also serve as general sales agents for airlines that do not have offices in a specific region. A travel agency's main function is to act as an agent, selling travel products and services on behalf of a supplier. They are also called Travel Advisors. They do not keep inventory in-hand unless they have pre-booked hotel rooms or cabins on a cruise ship for a group travel event such as a wedding, honeymoon, or other group event.

The Biggest Travel Agent in Canada

Brandon is a popular travel destination, and there are several alternatives to traditional travel agents that are very popular in the area. These alternatives offer a range of benefits, from cost savings to convenience. Here are the top three alternatives:

  • Online Travel Agencies (OTAs): Online travel agencies have become increasingly popular in recent years, offering travelers a convenient way to book flights, accommodation, and other travel services online. Some popular OTAs include Expedia, Booking.com, and Kayak. These platforms provide a wide range of options, allowing travelers to compare prices and find the best deals for their trip. They often offer user reviews and ratings to help travelers make informed decisions. Additionally, many OTAs offer package deals that can save travelers money by bundling multiple travel services together.
  • Travel Comparison Websites: Travel comparison websites, such as Skyscanner and Google Flights, allow travelers to compare prices from multiple airlines and travel agencies. These websites aggregate data from various sources, making it easier for travelers to find the best prices for flights, hotels, and car rentals. One of the key benefits of using these websites is the ability to set price alerts, which notify travelers when prices for a specific flight or hotel drop. This can help travelers save money by booking at the most opportune time.
  • Travel Apps: Travel apps, such as Airbnb and HotelTonight, have gained popularity among travelers looking for unique and affordable accommodations. Airbnb allows people to rent out their homes or spare rooms to travelers, providing an alternative to traditional hotels. HotelTonight offers last-minute hotel deals for spontaneous travelers looking for discounted rates. These apps are often accompanied by user reviews and ratings, providing travelers with a sense of security and trust when booking accommodations.

Overall, these alternatives to traditional travel agents offer convenience, cost savings, and a wide range of options for travelers in Brandon. Whether booking through an online travel agency, using a travel comparison website, or utilizing a travel app, travelers can find the best deals and accommodations for their trip with just a few clicks.
