3 months agoHad the best time!! Captain Wesley was so friendly and knowledgeable. We saw a blue whale which is extremely rare and that was beyond exciting! He also took us close to shore to see seals and a cave!! Very very cool! Highly recommend! Dress warm though! Gets windy out there!5 months agoSuch an incredible experience! We were on the East Coast for 10 days, and this was one of the biggest highlights for our family! Not only did we have the opportunity to watch a 75’ finback whale surface and dive multiple times, but we also were treated with a lovely tour of the coastline afterwards getting a perspective of the Cabot trail from the water. What incredible beauty!Captain Wesley was friendly and helpful and full of interesting information. Would highly recommend!
5 months agoI feel like the company deserves some recognition for an otherwise unfortunate experience. Firstly, we did not see whales. It was a bummer. However, our captain found us some seals and a couple bald eagles to gawk at, and took us for a pleasant boat cruise around the cliffs of Nova Scotia. Our captain was knowledgeable, pleasant, and he focused on our safety. When it was determined that the seas were too unpredictable to continue, he chose to bring us home safely rather than risk the waters for a sighting. We are all getting refunded, which is their policy. Can’t beat a free boat ride around the beautiful waters of Nova Scotia! Great experience, plus now I have my money back so I can try to check whale watching off my bucket list in the near future without feeling like I tossed my money in the ocean. Thanks!4 months agoI have to give some credit to the weather but the experience was fantastic! Our captain was very knowledgeable and strived to give a 5 star experience. We saw tons of whales, seals and eagles. Additionally I appreciated the focus on conservation and protection of our ecosystems. Thanks Captain Zodiac!4 months agoSteve was our captain and he did a great job. What a great day! We saw jumping tuna, dolphins, seals, a bald eagle and: Minke & Pilot whales.

6 months agoWe went on this tour with some of our family as part of our vacation. It was quite an experience! The boat ride going out to the islands was a bit rough. My daughter and I both got sick but our amazingly attentive captains were very supportive. They were also very informative about the many birds and seals on the islands as well as some of the local folklore about the area. It was very rainy that day. We were still able to see puffins, great blue heron, bald eagles and birds I’d never even heard of. After our trip there was tea waiting for us in the office and we were able to sit for a bit before venturing on. There are some nice little treasures in the gift shop. Overall it was a great experience. I’d love to do it again, only on a nice sunny day next time 😊.5 months agoAmazing tour with very knowledgable and friendly staff. We had an amazing time and were able to see a lot of different birds including puffins and bald eagles and learn about them. We also saw seals and had a great time. I would go back and absolutely recommend them!5 months agoThe bird island boat tour was highlight of our Atlantic Canada trip! We went with three little kids, and they were very excited! Thankfully nobody got sea sick. Heads up, due to the underwater current of the ocean and size of the boat, sailing may get a little rough. So take some gravol with you if you’re going with small kids. Take some snacks too. The captain is so enthusiastic about birds and knows so much, his passion is very contagious! (Unless you’re a bird enthusiast and already know enough about birds) you will leave with a lot of interesting information about birds! The captain and his son were talking so much about birds, it was like a friendly and very passionate bird lecture in the open ocean waters. I wish I could spend more time talking with them, it was a lot of fun! Highly recommend:)6 months agoThis tour was a great time, and well worth the experience! We saw tons of birds while on the tour; puffins, gulls, bald eagles, and a lot more than we expected. Also there were hundreds of seals lounging about near the islands which were very cool to see up close. If you have a few hours I’d definitely recommend going on the tour!7 months agoNice family run business with a few different seaside cottages. The boat tour was very informative. I did get nausea along with a few others, because the water was a little rough. So plan accordingly. They do have those little bracelets that work like acupuncture to help, but bring your own gravol. It was a very unique experience to see puffins, seals and many other types of birds. A must see experience if you visit Cape Breton!
