This experience was dreadful. And my mother would be horrified to know what took place with her Estate. I’ve never received any documentation, never met Phil in person, and felt disrespected with concerns I had. Phil was NOT transparent about the changes that took place, and this caused many misunderstandings and confusion. Not a good experience over all.

Makes me question how someone doing Wills and Estates can have such high ratings when you’re dealing with such emotional content.

I didn’t find Phil to be straight up and honest. That also makes me question his integrity? Setting by example sets standards, and the example I was given, was not one of professional integrity.

My experience was really easy and pleasant. Parking was close, 2nd floor entry was via elevator, reception efficient/friendly, my lawyer was punctual-efficient-and easy/fun to work with, payment was easy and a competitive amount, was in and out signing papers with copies in 15 minutes. ‘Well Done’…!

My first contact with Philippe Richer was after I had searched online for a law office near me, and he responded to my call. I visited his office in The Courts of St. James. From our conversation, I knew I had found a firm that I would be happy with, and I was not wrong! I found Philippe Richer and his staff member to be very pleasant, courteous and knowledgeable. All my questions were addressed to my satisfaction, and Philippe Richer proceeded with the interview needed to draw up two documents I was requesting. In a second meeting a detailed explanation was forthcoming before I added my signature. In conclusion, the reasons for the star rating is: promptness in returning my calls, promptness in booking and keeping the appointments, well informed, and reassuring. I feel Philippe Richer is a very trustworthy individual and I felt very confident using his services, which are very big factors for me. I wish him well.

In Dealing with Darryl Strain, It seems that this lawyer easily influenced when it comes down to wills and estates, It sounds like anyone can make just one phone call to Mr Strain and he can become easily influenced to write a secondary letter from what he had originally written to become biased on another party. Definitely not a lawyer that I would recommend

Worst law firm. If your buying a house this is NOT the law firm you want. First off they charge an arm & a leg for terrible slow service. It’s been a complete nightmare! They didn’t do their due diligence and we ended up with a massive water bill from previous owner 3 months after possession. The bill went onto our property taxes because Shelley’s communication is nonexistent. She doesn’t answer emails, try calling? Nope doesn’t anwser those either, you can leave messages and you’ll still not hear from them. The issue is unresolved and its been 6 whole months!!

    Avoid at all costs!!

Hired Olschewski and Davie to purchase a home, buyout an ex. They requested a second deposit as they came to the wrong calculations, during the same time I had to obtain a bridge loan form the ex. (Yet, you hire a professional because they know what they are doing)

Once everything was finalized it took over 10 months to get my paperwork and balance of funds (Only cause I emailed them, no clue if I’d ever get anything back if I didn’t say anything) They also sent me a form in an email stating that I’d save thousands of dollars, yet my balance paid back was just over one thousand. Too many variables, poor customer service, too many delays.

Indigenous intellectual property is a term used in national and international forums to describe intellectual property that is "collectively owned" by various Indigenous peoples, and by extension, their legal rights to protect specific such property. This property includes cultural knowledge of their groups and many aspects of their cultural heritage and knowledge, including that held in oral history. In Australia, the term Indigenous cultural and intellectual property, abbreviated as ICIP, is commonly used.
There have been various efforts made since the late 20th century towards providing some kind of legal protection for indigenous intellectual property in colonized countries, including a number of declarations made by various conventions of Indigenous peoples. The World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) was created in 1970 to promote and protect intellectual property across the world by cooperating with countries as well as international organizations. The UN's Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples (UNDRIP), signed by 144 countries in 2007, includes several clauses relating specifically to the protection of intellectual property of Indigenous peoples.
Disputes around indigenous property include several cases involving the Māori people of New Zealand.
