What People Are Saying: 5 Customer Reviews

  1. Such a great experience here. The reuse of this historic, light-filled building has such a distinct sense of space. All lights are fitted with Edison Bulbs, unifying the look.
The views over the park are fabulous. I look forward to returning and eating outside in better weather.
Our party ordered a Cuban Sandwich, seafood skewers, and salmon. Each was well flavored and excellent.
The day we were there, there was a baby shower in the large second floor room. Definitely keep that in mind.

  2. We were greeted by a guy who worked for the restaurant in a rude manner, but I kept my cool. I had purposed to treat my sister, my niece, and my daughter to a nice lunch while I was visiting my hometown from South Carolina. Thankfully, a young lady intervened and seated us. There were tables available, but the guy made it seem like we couldn’t be served without a reservation. The food was plated in a beautiful manner and pretty tasty. The fried green tomatoes were enjoyed by all. I have enjoyed better food, but the scenery was nice on a brisk February, Saturday afternoon in Tallahassee.

  3. This place is electrifying. After a long car trip, sitting down and getting an Edison Burger was amazing. While the gimmick of the power plant is lost on me, the atmosphere was unique and certainly different from a generic eat-in chain.

  4. The Edison is located at the precipice of Cascades Park, an ebullient and aesthetically green area. The outside decor of The Edison is reminiscent old school power plants. It’s inner decor slightly subverts your expectations; the lighting is completely composed of Edison lightbulbs coupled with light-themed interior design. The “Edison Burger” was seasoned very well, much to the satisfaction of my taste analogous to many other high quality restaurants. However, comparing the price to the overall quality of the food, the cuisine severely underperformed. Moreover, the selection of the food items results in a lack of creativity amongst the grander foods. In spite of this, the service was cordial and prompt. Our waitress tended to our needs in a suitable and professional manner. What really tainted the experience was the open door adjacent to my table during the evening. The open door, in conjunction with the Edison lights, invited an innumerable amount of flies and other insects during our dining experience. This greatly impacted our meal as they would fly onto us AND onto the food; a health risk as flies have historically caused a multitude diseases. A few of the seats were deteriorating as well, something many fast food restaurants do not even have a problem with. Overall, 3/5 stars. The Edison = MID.

  5. Our server, Isaiah, was fantastic. A great, dog friendly venue with great views. We sat on the balcony and were even able to watch the sunset. I wasn’t impressed with the meatloaf even though Isiah warned me that it wasn’t a “normal” traditional meatloaf. Everything else was good.

Coosh’s is great! I love the laid back atmosphere with their super friendly staff and different sports to pick from on each TV. The food is excellent, as well (the crinkle fries are the BEST). If you’re looking for some good Cajun food or even just a fun place to hang out and watch the game, definitely check this place out.

This place is a Tallahassee Gem. Walking in the dining room and seeing 10+ years of Tallahassee Bests plaques gives you an idea you picked the right place. This place wasn’t here when I grew up. But we stumbled in here just to try the lunch one day and were blown away. I thought I had reviewed this place back then, but realized I hadn’t so I don’t have pictures from that visit but I can definitively tell you Entrees are incredible. Shrimp and Grits was excellent. 2 things will stick out in todays inflated world. Food is still excellent and the servings are huge. Bring a huge appetite or enjoys leftovers for at least 1 extra meal and maybe 2. Pictures below are from Sunday Brunch which I cannot possibly recommend more. It is more of a eat and go home and nap. But it is so good, we hit it up on the way out of town and grab a coffee for the drive. I love biscuits and sausage gravy and this is one of the few places left that actually still puts sausage in it. We are not talking a fine cut where you are unsure there is sausage. We are talking rough cut like you made it at home and you are thinking, lets put a little extra cause I love sausage in my gravy. My wife and I both ended up ordering the same dish with eggs, home fries, and biscuits and sausage gravy. I couldn’t finish and she eat her fill and didn’t even look like she had dented the plate.

Awesome, as always. If you like Cajun food and feeling like you are in a NOLA restaurant, you’ll love it at Coosh’s. Went for Fat Tuesday. $5 Hurricane drinks. They didn’t taste like they were made from a syrupy mix. Quite yummy. I had Jambalaya Pasta and cup of Gumbo. Tasty.

Delicious and well worth the prices. I would highly recommend to anyone looking for southern/ creole style food. The shrimp and grits was out of this world and the drinks are great. Can’t say enough good things about this restaurant. (This was also my first time coming and our waitress was phenomenal, A+ customer service)

The Buffalo Chicken Sliders were perfect! Great taste and nice presentation with the fries as a side. Quinn was our server – he was great! Also had the Jambalaya Pasta – it was really heavy in my opinion, but had a good savory taste! To be expected from pasta. Overall, excellent experience!

We enjoyed an excellent meal at Bella Bella last week on our date night. The Roasted Sweet Potato Soup and house salad were fantastic and the Chicken Florentine Ravioli with Butternut Squash Sauce from the specials menu was decadently delicious. Husband loved his Chicken Parmesan. The service and atmosphere are both wonderful…. a great dining experience.

We were traveling and were excited to find this gem. They had an eclectic floor plan with the hostess stand off to the left of the front entrance. The restrooms are clean but reminiscent of an old home. The food was amazing. The ravioli was crazy good.

The salad with seasonal fruit and chicken parm were great. The building layout is disjointed and awkward, especially with the random entrances. The area is sketchy. But the food is delicious. Our waitress was friendly and helpful. Would probably go back.

Absolutely love this place! Delicious food! The location is in a prime area of Tallahassee. It has outdoor seating on the patio with heated lamps for the cooler weather. It is quaint and cozy. Clean and friendly staff! Food is absolutely delicious. And the bubble bread is a staple. 🙂 enjoy!

Intimate little spot. The food was good! Once we sat we waited 30 min for just our salads, but otherwise it was good! Staff is so friendly! I would definitely try it again!
