  1. Sad to see you guys go. Thank you for all the memories Tommy! From regular batting sessions, to team practice when it was too cold or wet outside, and even our end of the year parties, us locals who love the game of baseball and hold it very near and dear to our heart, we say, THANK YOU!!!!!! Love you and thanks again for all the memories over the years. Myself and many, many others will forever cherish it! Here’s to you Tommy!

  2. This place is amazing, I’m going to miss it so much, I grew up coming here and hitting in their cages for batting practice for as long as I’ve played baseball (8+ years) and even with my dad when he came here to practice with his buddies. Such a great spot and such a great place to hangout and have some fun have some pretty decent food and with a good beer selection and games for the kids. This place is amazing and the Reno/Sparks area will miss it very much. Thank you Tommy

  3. This place is amazing.. they have the best food!
And while you eat you can watch sports or watch people in the batting cages..
They are closing May 7th. Sad!! I encourage anyone in the area to go support them while they can.. 35 yrs is a long time! You will be missed Tommy’s Grandstand!

  4. I love this place ❤️ I’ve been going to this place since I was a little girl. This is a perfect place for all ages! They have a bar, grill, play area for kids, slow pitch, softball, and all speeds for baseball. Great time and great memories.

  5. I am giving this place 2 stars only because the food is good. We became regulars at this place and would take our employees to lunch there for employee appreciation once every other month. Every time we walked in we were treated as an inconvenience because we had a group of 6 (except after COVID when they we’re trying to recoup business and we’re actually grateful). Just this past Friday we decided to take our group there for lunch (knowing it would be the last time before the business shuts down for good), we were yet again treated as an inconvenience, told not to return to the business with our group again, snarled at by the owner as we were ordering our lunch. Completely rude and inconsiderate of the people who support your business but that day you lost 6 individuals as customers and if this place ever opens again I will never step foot or waste my money to give it to such a rude person. The news keeps saying how much the owner appreciates the customers and community but that is a joke! Be gone and don’t reopen again.

My son has been playing with the Muckdogs for about a year now. Talk about a 1st class organization!!! My son has developed so much since starting with them. They have high values on teaching the game the right way with proper mechanics, good sportsmanship and understanding that is a process. Not only do they have high values on baseball but also on education. They stress the importance of how valuable a great education is. The coaching is top notch from 9’s all they way to the 19’s. Bret has built an amazing organization!! If you’re looking for high level baseball for your son, this is definitely the place!!

We have had the privilege to be a part of the Muckdogs organization through Bret Pagni’s Baseball & Softabll Academy for almost a year now. I have a 9U player and a 14U player that will both continue with the origination through the 19U level. I can not say enough about this high-level organization, the owner Bret Pagni and his staff of highly dedicated and experienced coaches. The players that are fortunate enough to be developed in this program are not only taught the fundamentals of baseball, but they are held to the highest accountability to respect the game, their teammates, coaches and umpires. High emphasis is put on academics, player (and parent) behavior/conduct and arm health. Coaches WILL never put a players arm or body at risk to win a game. They put their emphasize not on winning at all costs, but on playing the game the right way. The culture and the families that are part of this organization are some of the best we have ever come across. We have about 8 years in Little League under our belt as well as a former travel ball team for my oldest son, so we are not new to baseball or the travel experience. In addition to the travel teams we play on for Muckdogs, both my boys take private lessons at the facility on a weekly basis, we have participated in spring, summer and fall camps and as a parent I have had the opportunity to assist the owner as a Team Admin. I have nothing but the highest regard and respect for Bret Pagni and the organization he runs. It is hands down the best decision we could have made for both our boys. They both look forward to their lessons, practice and traveling for tournaments against some of the best teams in California. Their personal development as individual players has been pretty amazing to watch this past year and my husband and I look forward to many, many more years here with what I believe wholeheartedly to be the best baseball facility for training and development in Northern Nevada.

My 7 year old son participated in Bret Pagni’s Baseball Summer Camp and LOVED it. The coach to child ratio was great and they kept the camp fun while also teaching age appropriate skills. The camp hours were PERFECT (8:30am – noon) so I didn’t have to worry about my son being out on the field in the scorching heat. We look forward to participating in this camp again next summer and will be checking out Bret Pagni’s Baseball Academy to see what else they offer!

My son is in his 6th season playing for Bret Pagni’s Baseball and Softball Academy as a muckdog. Bret and Ken have taught my son the importance of hard work, dedication, and importance of education. The quality of coaching is outstanding. They provide camps and top notch private instruction. They have taught my son that it’s not all about winning a baseball game but playing the game right. They also have high expectation for well-behaved parents, which is so important. The health of the players is their top priority; keeping pitch counts low and requiring no throw periods. I can’t say enough about Bret’s organization and if your player wants to learn to be a better baseball player, in a competitive environment, this is the place for you!

We have been with the Bret’s Baseball Academy on the Muckdogs for a year now. This organization is professionally run, and has high standards for the kids and families. My son loves playing here and has learned on field skills, as well as off field. 1st class organization.

What a hidden gem? This is my first game that I attended here and it is a super nice field that is tucked away. My granddaughter had her birthday party here and she really enjoyed it. Made her feel special to throw out the game ball for the softball game. We did a tailgate party in the parking lot for her. All went well and I suggest others do kids parties here. You can do games on the grass area too and watch the game together. Nice clean field.

Beautiful, new softball stadium, OK location, need permanent restroom facilities, more parking. Otherwise OK.

Well , I gotta give 4 stars to Coach Taylor… He finally got a real scoreboard.. He and his friends did this… If the team isn’t ranked as a conference title contender for 2020 it’s time to move on… They cut your budget and expect you to win..

Nice setting for a softball game. Plenty of seating and places to enjoy the game.

Directions take you to baseball park. Took about 10 minutes to find way to access softball parking lot. Had to cross railroad tracks which was limited and required back tracking through residential neighborhood.
