  5. Clean great place to shop, groom, and veterinarian services under one roof. Prices are competitive but they are understaffed in my opinion. There is never enough staff for me to get the help I desire.

I had trouble with connecting with the store, but I just parked and went in. I quickly found someone to help and picked up my purchase.     I’ve bought wayyy too much stuff here for my fresh and saltwater tanks. Employees are always friendly and kind when helping. PetCo has fair prices and a good selection of products and aquatic life. They also price match!

    Had my fur baby in for grooming. Been there for a year. Friendly, professional, with competative pricing. I also pick up dog food. Try them out. Very well stocked store.

    FYI…When you look up an item on their website….if you see a good price on something…take a screen shot…then go into the store….price on shelf might be different….show screenshot and they will price match!!!!!!

    Great selection of high quality pet items, but the price reflects the quality. This Store is always clean, and organized making it easy to find most items. Okay selection of small pets, hamsters, gerbils, mice, rats etc. They also have a few small and medium sized birds in different breeds. I gave 4 stars not 5 because of their Fish, we have gotten 2 with contagions that wound up killing all of the fish in our tanks. The worst was we Lost an Oscar and Pleco that were 5+ years old to some disease after getting some comets to feed the Oscar. My son was devastated he fed that Oscar his pellets every day since he was big enough to walk. Then Once a week we would give him a comet or 2 and the second time we got them from here was the end of us owning fish.

    All my animals are from Halo! They trim nails for free if you get your animal from here. They care about them even when they are gone! I got used collar for my dog in the shop from a donation; they understand the wonders of reusing, helping another pet to helping the pet family! Once I found a dog and they worked with me and Highlands Animal Hospital to quarantine the dog and get him moved into Halo for Adoption. He had found his forever home .. this is my favorite place to volunteer, donate things & work with! And always, bringing home a fur baby !

    I visited this shelter for years looking for the right dog. Unfortunately the staff felt I would be unfit mother for this dog. Their concern was I never take my cats to the vet. They never inquired about how I treated my cats. They never asked for references from family or friends. Who would have shared how I love my cats and (Yes) trained my cats. Or asked about any past history of pets. They would have learned I had a goldfish for 13 years and how crushed I was when he died.

    I apprciate its a non kill shelter and they seem like they try to do the right thing…i was going to donate 200$ but not anymore. unfortunatly the workers aren’t anyone who went to college and arent as intelligent as many people think. they will deny you for ridiculous reasons. Dont get a pet if you live next to a main road. (Many people do) the process is outdated and have no problem taking money from people to put animals on hold just to reject them. Adoption should be the main purpose and making it difficult does not help the animals or anyone. They stay in small cages if not. Its sad to say the least. Animal abuse to deny an animal a stable home to stay in as well. Just because you had a good experience doesn’t mean everyone does.

    One year ago we had a lovely experience of adopting our beautiful baby girl from the Sebastian location and having the opportunity to give her a forever loving home. This past week we decided what better thing then to get her a little brother. We drove down to the Vero location this time with hopes to find a little brother or sister for our little girl. From the second we walked through the doors we locked eyes with a little black and white bundle of joy. He was the one. After all the paperwork was fill out and the deposit was payed, we were told we’d be getting a call tomorrow to come pick him up. However, instead we get a call from Pam saying we are unfit to adopt because we live on a 4th floor apartment, THAT IS SCREENED IN. I asked how is it okay that we got our other cat from you and it was fine but this one is not. She rudely stated that if it was up to her we wouldnt have gotten our other cat either. Very unhappy with the way they do business. You tell them all the same information and the employees say you definitely will get that cat so they have you pay for it and of course it’s not refundable. Pam would rather have the cats rot away in the shelter then go to a loving home because somehow it may fall to its death.
