What People Are Saying: 5 Customer Reviews

  1. This is an additional review about the Nursing Staff and the Aides at Royal Estates. I wanted to acknowledge more of the staff at Royal Estates of El Paso. I was able to visit my mom after a year of separation. During the past year, Aaron has been the messenger and go-to person in communicating with Mom. She is very deaf and Aaron has been key to helping set up a phone system. He is always so kind. Also, in this past year, the Nursing Staff and the Aides have done such a wonderful job keeping her healthy and safe. But just as importantly, they kept her spirits up and engaged her to add to her daily experience. Madeleine and Veronica go above and beyond–always. My family and I are so grateful to have them working with our mom.

  2. A friend of mine gave me the number to Royal Estates when it came time for me to move my dad. I called and was transferred to Joy, the director of the facility. I had so many questions, as this is the first time I reached out to a facility. Joy not only answered my questions, but she made me feel like a welcome member of the family. She was knowledgeable, warm and engaging. I learned all about the facility, routine, amenities, etc. She was truly a breath of fresh air. I recommend calling Royal Estates to anyone seeking a community for their loved one.

  3. We are so pleased with the care and attention our loved one receives here. We were so apprehensive about moving her to assisted living, but it was easy because she loves the place and loves the people. And many current residents welcomed her and told her how at home they felt here. The transition went smoothly, mostly because of the staff. She loves the food also.

  4. Excellent services and plenty of activities for residence’s. Perfect for the elderly. Staff is very responsive to individual needs. Dining facility meals are great. Recommended highly. The best in El Paso!

  5. My Uncle is living at Royal Estates. The employees, advocates and upper management are excellent. Genuinely friendly and the care is excellent. The establishment is super clean and comfortable. Great job you’all!!

Started off great for a short 1.5 yrs. New management took over & dues soared. New management within facility are arrogant & conveniently forgetful. Facility is nice & the common staff are great though!

My cousin moved to El Paso a few months ago. We visited several places and found that this facility offered every thing she wanted and needed. We saw several rooms and found a perfect one with a large bedroom and bathroom, living room and and small kitchen. It also had a tiny patio for plants and a puppy if she decides to get one. It has lots a light coming into the room. They provide 3 meals a day so we don’t have to worry about her meals. Housekeeping is provided once a week. There are many more amenities offered. I feel it is a safe and happy environment for her.

Place very clean and inviting. Staff very helpful, nice. Overall, the facility is very inviting. There were residents walking around hallways and staff greets them by name. Several residents sitting around socializing and appeared relaxed enjoying themselves. I believe that my mother will find the living accommodations to her satisfaction. I am very excited to have her close and in a clean facility.

My sister and I went to see the facility to get a tour of the rooms. We were very impressed with the cleanliness, brightness, and maintenance of the building. I was really impressed and would love to have mom move in. They answered all our questions and were very courteous and kind. I’m hoping mom agrees and decides to live there. I think she would be happy there.

I have been searching for a senior living home for my father and have contacted multiple locations to find just the right fit. Hands down, none compared to the level of attention and quality of service that I received at Solstice. Omar was incredibly helpful and informative, answering all of my questions and addressing each of my concerns. I also met with Joy, who greeted us warmly and made us feel right at home. She gave us a wonderful overview of the facility, meals, activities and more. She really took the time to get to know my father and his needs. I would highly recommend giving Solstice a call to anyone looking for housing for their loved one.

This place is horrible ! I went yesterday to see my family member the rooms were so hot !!! we had to ask twice and the nurses were just on their cell phones not doing anything. the nurse let us know the a/c was not working and to open the window ! then to be sharing a room with another patient is ridiculous. the vibe in this place is sad it feels like people get left here to die . the nurses don’t care when I walked in and asked for help the nurse was playing a game on her phone. this place just lacks the love and care you would hope your loved one would get.

My father was admitted into their medical unit. He was approved by insurance for 21 days. They took him in on a Wednesday morning and my mother asked the admitting nurse 4 times to please give him a shower. He was coming from the hospital where he was not given a shower. The admitting nurse assured my mom they would take care of it. Fast forward to Thursday night we went to see him after we got off work and come to find him sitting on his bed in his underpants/diaper. The charge nurse Marie denied confirming if he was given a shower to me because of federal guidelines which only allowed her to disclose that info to his spouse(my mom). So my mom shows up and when she asks Marie about the shower, she replies “I dont know, i did not admit him’. Long story short, we pulled him out of there and find my father had a horrible rash on his bottom due to their neglect. Dont judge this place by its cover/appearance. Place is horrible.

It’s a huge efficiency, but the most important thing that I noticed, the members are compassionate with the seniors, they provide one place with care and love.

I have been employed doing maintenance at nursing homes in the past. I still have many bad memories of when I eye witnessed vile, unspeakable, and even illegal, things. When I was told at the hospital that I couldn’t stay with them anymore and I couldn’t go home, but that I had to go to a nursing home for my next treatments, I got sick inside. Literally. It didn’t take long for me to realize that the Monte Vista nursing home was totally opposite of my expectations. The first thing I noticed was NO smells. We used to put Vick’s vaporub under our noses just to be able to work without gagging. It was amazing for me to see how they all did their jobs there, in every department, with alacrity and compassion. Some patients needed a lot of extra care, and always cheerfully got it I never saw “not my job”. I saw a nurse pick up a dinner tray, and a kitchen server help a patient into a wheelchair. Cross training at its best. I remember from before that such extra effort was actually not allowed! It wouuld always be “let me find somebody (else!) to help you”. At Monte Vista the job culture was to always pitch in., unless the nurse had to do it.That first day I received a small parade of people in my room, with each explaining all the different details concerning my visit, and aspects of how their own particular jobs would fit in to the whole. Very informative and mind relieving. The building is laid out with access outside to walkways and a covered patio that hosts activities and the occasional cookout. There were also several activities inside to fill up some more time. Fine people led those different activities. The cuisine was uniformly delicious. Their ad said “restaurant style and quality”. They were not kidding. The kitchen staff did everything they possiblity could to customize my diet. TIP:: never pass up on the soup. The activities director accomplished a couple of minor miracles on my behalf. It was a housekeeper who first noticed my naked butt and hurried to find me a second hospital gown to cover it. Above and beyond right there. The nurses and CNAs were all consistently special and on the ball. The boss of nurses responded to my only concern once, within the hour, so that was problem solved asap. The beauty parlor had a real pro who gave me a free first haircut. A doctor looked after everything. My particular stay was for physical therapy. Those guys knew what they were doing. Besides the regular therapy, one of them fixed a knot in my neck that I had been living with for ages. The hospital doctor. predicted a 2 or 3 month stay. The therapists cut that in half. They basically rotate around the patients, so I’ve been blessed enough to receive the benefits of different types of exercise and training. This training, I will remember, and will continue to use at home as long as I can. I don’t believe the bad reviews. I never saw, or even heard about, anything like those things related by the one stars and I walked around constantly, at all hours of the day and night. Also, there are far too many 5 stars to dispute them. This walking was for the rehab, which everyone I passed in the hall encouraged. If, in the future, I am mandated for another stay in a nursing home, I will pray to get back into a bed over there.
