  1. We moved to AZ in 2020. When a lot of things were shut down, Starworld was still open and allowed my kids to have some normalcy and socialization during the pandemic.

    My boys have grown immensely at this martial arts studio and I am truly grateful to Master Williamson and all of the instructors for helping instill focus, self control and discipline into my young men. We love and thank God for you all!!!

Starworld Martial Arts provided karate as an elective at my sons school, he is in third grade, and once that program was done, he really enjoyed it and we decided to sign him up as well as his brother. It is really impressive the techniques that they teach. My son Nathan who is 9 and my Oldest Gabriel,13 are both in the same rank right now and I love how they both are learning and practicing with each other. I would highly recommend Starworld!

  3. When our family moved into the area I googled Karate studios for our daughter. She had studied martial arts for four years and taken a short break. We decided to check out Starworld Martial Arts. Upon meeting Master Williamson the care and understanding of their program was amazing. Their commitment to learning and for students to truly understanding the heart of Tang Soo Do is remarkable !! Our daughter’s passion for martial arts has reignited and she is setting goals for herself to become a black belt. The confidence, goal setting, learning and patience of this studio is amazing!!

  4. I have three kids currently enrolled and all loving it! They started about 6 weeks ago and it’s been a huge confidence booster for my 12yo son. He is very excited to earn his next belt. Not only are they learning karate but respect and discipline as well. Thanks Starworld for your time and energy you put in for our children!

  5. The staff and instructors at Starworld Martial Arts are wonderful to work with. They truly take pride in what they do and goes above and beyond in providing the best experience for your lil one. My daughter is excited and eager to show us the new things she learns every time she goes to practice. It is wonderful to see how much she has grown in such a short period of time.     2021 has been such a rough year and has taken its toll on everyone but I began to notice a strong change in my 7 year old son. After doing some serious mom digging I found out that other kids where picking on him and that’s when his Dad found BlackFlag. I wanted my child to defend his self and not just fight. I wanted him to know when & how to defend himself appropriately. Well it didn’t take long (within 3 weeks) for him to learn how to defend himself. At this point I was all in, paid the whole year in full!!!! He had found the confidence to stand up for himself!!!!!! THANKS BKACK FLAG JIU-JITSU CLUB…….DEFEND is the key word, I love how they teach only to defend & not to pick on anyone or start random fights just because they can. I really appreciate everything they’ve taught him this far & Coach Nancy for calling on him and making him come out of his shell. Thanks Coach Gilbert for being tough and speaking the truth to the kidS (I know mine needs it LOL)

    Twbjj is one of the best most welcoming gyms in the state to me. Between having the best coaches for mma and bjj they also have the best yoga and I wouldn’t want to be anywhere else!

    Tim Welch is a world class coach & athlete that has changed my life ! Not only that he’s a world class individual ! He truly cares about each & everyone of his students. He doesn’t just teach BJJ , he’ll educate you in hydration, nutrition, conditioning, training and recovery. We’re all like one big family down there & you feel it. Everybody wants to help there teammates get better & it’s a great atmosphere & Tim & Mariah are great individuals ! Now we have UFC star Drakkar Klose teaching the MMA classes & I’m just glad to be part of the Tim Welch bjj family ! I’m 52 years old & they treat me like everybody else & it doesn’t matter if your rich or poor ,educated or not , everyone is truly treated the same on the mats. I can’t say enough about Tim Welch & all the team.. It’s never too late & your all welcome @ TW BJJ, so come on down and see & feel the great vibes for yourself and meet everybody !

    I dropped in to TWBJJ for a quick Gi session while I was in the area and Tim was extremely welcoming and down to earth. Every one of his students was friendly and created a very comfortable environment for my friend and I to learn in. I would recommend Tim Welch’s gym to anyone curious about jiu jitsu. 10/10

    This gym is great! I have been fighting for 12 years and been to gyms all over the world. As a gym owner myself I am very impressed with how the coaches at this gym coach. Detail oriented and precise and good at helping the whole class master the technique. The people are very welcoming and host an amazing environment. If you live in the area and are interested in learning BJJ or striking for MMA this is the place to go!
