  5. Came in a few days ago. Went to checkout, and I just so happened to notice the price on something I was purchasing, didn’t ring up correctly. The amazing cashier called a manager to the front and waited. She was completely apologetic to us for waiting, but I reassured her that my boyfriend and I, understood completely, as we work in customer service ourselves. The… “Manager,” a thin, petite, brunette, walked up, asked her, “So, what’s the problem?” With the most rude condescending voice I have ever heard. The cashier explained what the issue was (such a sweet woman that cashier was!!!). The manager slammed her hand down on the counter, grabbed a notepad, wrote down the serial number (I’m assuming), threw the pen down, walked to the aisle to check the tag, (after my boyfriend had already checked the price and barcode), came back, threw the pen and pad down, and said, “Well since the tag wasn’t updated just give it to them for that price. It’s whatever.” The poor cashier was so apologetic and even explained to us, the managers…. “situation,” but to be honest, if she was not mentally capable of coming to work, then she should have taken leave. To talk to your sweet employees and understanding customers like that, is ridiculous. I have NEVER had a bad experience at this store until now. I am apologetic towards that managers situation, but by no means, does that give her ANYYY right to treat her employees, AND CUSTOMERS, like that in such a disrespectful, distasteful manner!!!!! I was so upset for this poor woman having to work with her! That cashier needs a raise and that manager deserves to be fired!

    Stopped by Ace on my birthday. As a rewards member I received a $10 gift coupon. I had never visited this particular location. It was a retrofit store so the layout was a little odd. The store had quite a few low stock or out-of-stock items, but that’s what you’re experiencing everywhere these days. The store personnel was friendly and offered assistance. I found some neat little tools. If you’re not a rewards member be on site to sign up for the $10 freebie.

    I’ve been to Lowes and Home Depot here in Nashville, and I stopped into this Ace Hardware store to replace a tool that went missing. When I walked in the first signage I saw says “we make keys here! I needed to get a backup key for my apartment, so I asked the first face I saw if they could do it. just moments later the key was in my hand! I found the friendliest people working here, and they knew right where the tool I needed was located. When I got to the aisle I had no issue finding an American, made in the USA tool. And I’ll definitely be back here if more tools go missing on me again. I like a Hardware store that has 3 things: Smiling faces, fast and knowledgeable staff, and products that are Made in the U.S.A.

    I went at 7:30 pm on Friday evening, to pick up a “ship-to-store” order, which I had placed online. Two men were there, but neither spoke. I asked for my order. One man retrieved it, and handed it to me while stuffing my receipt inside the item. No HELLO, no THANK YOU, no PLEASE COME BACK. Horrible rudeness. Are these people being paid to treat customers this badly?

    Ci called to ask if they had something I needed and the customer service representative said that they did. I arrived and the staff was all smiles! I found what I needed and out the door. Pleasant experience.
