What People Are Saying: 5 Customer Reviews

  1. A bargain shoppers paradise with name brand quality and an unending choices in every department. When you have 4 kids with different tastes and sizes, and you still have to stay on budget…this is the store for you! And you can find Frye boots for you and Aldo dress shoes for your husband, I can’t stop smiling at my bags from this weekend. Of course we had to go ahead and get some Christmas decorations from the Home Goods side before we checked out. My only complaint is you need some chairs for my husband to sit because he had was tired of walking behind me!

  2. Overall good experience at this location. I made a return on this trip and the transaction went by smoothly. The cashier was nice and the line was short. There have been a few times I came and the store was quite busy, so I did luck out this time.
After my return transaction, I browsed the store and found a few nice items.

  3. To preface this review, normally I have a good experience at this store with finding deals and kind and helpful employees. However my experience yesterday (3/8/2023) was extremely frustrating.

I found a few items after spending some time hunting for a good deal but lost track of time. I had a workout class I didn’t want to be late for, so I asked an associate (Anna) at the front if they could hold my items for me till I could return and check out (the line was wrapping around the store down the aisle where the rugs are).

I came back a couple hours later around 7PM only to find out that all the items I had asked to hold had been put back! Anna was being unhelpful so I asked for a manager, Jess H., who was equally if not more unhelpful. Her attitude is what was really infuriating. She was rude, dismissive, and acting like I’m a burden because I’m unhappy for mistakes made on their end!

I really hope management above Jess H. sees this review to train staff to be more attentive and thorough when they tell customers they will hold items.

  4. They’ve got what you want for the home! Aisles of pillows. Dog stuff, gates, bed in a bag, decorations, etc. Some stuff is priced great.

  5. Tamika and Dorothy B cordinature, are both not professional at all and so rude specially tamika I was asking for help and the way they talk to me wasn’t kind , I have to complain to manager for their attitude toward me they didn’t let me make return even tough I haven’t use the item so I had to see another manager to check the item and confirm it wasn’t use and give me my money back since I bough the item the same day .

While I do like the “treasure hunt” aspect of Marshall’s/Homegoods. I’m not sure it outweighs the pain of standing in a line that extends to the rear of the store and back towards the women’s athletic section. Added note that the long line is by no means an isolated issue on weekends and peak times. 3pm on a Wednesday and I stood in line for at least 30 minutes. Some may argue that the line moves, however I have yet to shop at another Marshall’s/Homegoods store where the line is so long. PLEASE, a special appeal to the management of the Rea Road store and corporate, let’s see some action on fixing this frustration for your customers and showing that you appreciate us and respect our time. I know that I am not the only one who evaluates how long the line is before I decide to shop here.

I like Home Goods – lots of nice things for home including dishes, home decor, furniture, glassware, silverware, kitchen gadgets, and textile for the lower price. If you choose to go on a weekend, you are more likely to have to wait in line before the checkout. It doesn’t normally take long – around 10 minutes or so. Ipd: still like it. Their loyalty program with their credit card that works for entire umbrella including marchalls and tjmax has some benefits. The refunds are also easy.

Lots of great stuff but the dreadful long line makes you want to drop everything you found and walk away. The shopping line is ridiculous and it’s is because the location in understaffed. There are 15 registers and only 5 in operation. I suppose they built 15 for a good reason. It takes a good 30-40 minutes in line to get checked out. The claim is that some staff members are sick but that is what Human Resources are for, so account for these circumstances. I really hope something will change at this location. It’s the only location I know that has this issue, please take action ASAP, thank you.

My best friend and I have shopped this store for years. Besides taking forever to get checked out, today the store looked like a bomb had gone off and was not clean. The ladies room was nasty. Going to have to find another store. Used to be our favorite.

Parking is tough here. Overall place is kept in shape and they were staffed adequately for the holidays. Despite a line of 80+ i only waited 15m to return and check out.
