  1. I like this Safeway always has most of what I need. Plus they have an Asian cooking there Chinese food. And believe me when I say it makes all the difference in the world. Cuzz I love Chinese food and for a cheap price if that guy is on the grill there Chinese is just as good if not better than your local Chinese restaurant. Just saying I dropped a pearl for you guys. So go check it out. You will be happy that you did….

  2. The self checkout eats money if you don’t wait for the machine to count every coin (there’s a delay in the computer) before putting bills in. First time it happened to me I thought it must be my mistake even tho I could have sworn I counted exact change. 2nd time it happened I know it’s the machine. But it’s too small of a problem to wait in line at customer service for 20 minutes and try to explain the situation.
    A lot of drug users in the area, I like that they have a security guard and the camera thing with the blue blinking light for the parking lot to make it safer to park in their parking lot.

  3. This Safeway provides the basics but is nothing special. The prices are generally reasonable, and the staff is helpful most the time. However, the produce section lacks freshness, and the overall selection is limited. It’s an average store for everyday needs.

  4. Used to do most of our food shopping here. Management now doesn’t care about taking care of the shoppers! Now you have to check out your own groceries! I bet it won’t be long before they expect us to stock the shelves and unload the trucks!
    The workers have been kind and trying to do the best they can.
    I already drive past that company that starts with W so that I can support union jobs. Now I am going to have to drive past Safeway and support another company!
    Not a single cashier to do the only thing you do! You sell things. So I need cashiers to buy stuff. Just curious no cashiers meen no charge for the stuff?

  5. Went to get my friend a new phone n after the experience we had at Kent boost decided to go to the one in Auburn! Very friendly service n very helpful! Would recommend trying the place

    I usually shop here once a month. I don’t like to spend too much. There’s a wide variety of international foods, snacks, produce, etc. I like how the store maintains cleanliness. I can normally find everything I need. Shopping is typically within 30 mins. I’m in and out quick! LOL!

    It’s sad to see so many different employees after you get used to seeing some on regular basis. I try not to shop here because I don’t like how management is. The store manager is a clutz doesn’t know what he is doing half the time and I’m predicting this store will close eventually because they can’t keep the good employees they have had. Shame on you. So many new people in here all the time. I use to like seeing the regulars that worked there because they were friendly and courteous.

    Great store with a seemingly endless variety to choose from. Friendly, helpful employees that are happy to help you find something. A special shout out to Mikel, for being super helpful, and having a smile that lights up the entire store! Update: I just had to share this incident that I witnessed yesterday. I went to Saar’s in Kent yesterday; just for a bottle of wine for my Wife. When I entered the store I kind of cussed under my breath. . There were three cashiers open,, each with 15-20 people in line. I had just one item and was unhappy that I’d have to wait in line for a long time. As I was walking towards the registers I heard an announcement asking for more cashiers. One employee, AB, rushed past me, saying ‘Hi’ and that he had just clocked out, laughing. By the time that I reached the registers two other employees had opened their lines along with AB, making all six registers open. By the time I was half way to my car these employees cleared all six lines. I’ve never seen such teamwork. I don’t know if they pay their employees so much that they hustle their butts off or they just hire only the best people, but either way, kudos to Saars for making not just my day, but everyone who was in the store.

    Saar’s was once the best priced place to shop there still pretty close but like everywhere else prices have gone through the roof. But it’s nice to see Saar’s still has a lot of inventory and a lot of items that other stores do not I still highly recommend shopping at Saar’s Auburn. Top notch store 2 thumbs up.

    Super saver don’t save me nothing at this location, its way more expensive than Walmart and Winco! And the selection isn’t so great either, I do like all the tortellini coffee flavors that they sell though, I can’t find a selection that big anywhere else. And it sucks they ain’t 24hrs anymore.

    Daytime staff great. I pass through every couple of weeks in a Semi. I buy $100 -$200 in grocery. Some times it’s day, sometimes it’s night. Day staff let me use the bathroom. Night staff gave me some huff about it being after 9P.M. and wouldn’t let me use the bathroom. So I left without grocery shopping.

    Went to bakery to pick up B. Cake and had to wait on representative to quit visiting with other employee to give me the cake. I usually love Safeway cakes, but this one was not up to the standard. It was good but a little grainy. The design was nice and looked like the one I picked out. A Harry Potter theme.

    Only getting one star cuz you can’t put zero just walked out requested help at the self-checkout and stood there for 10 minutes not a single person around to help you as an employee after employee walked right past me. I guess nobody cares about customer service anymore and apparently you can’t use the Safeway app at this location I recommend others not to waste their money at this store

    I was being help by a girl and a guy by the deli jell to the girl hurry up ,. And the he looks at me really angry like I was doing something wrong I think he hate Latin American people. regardless what I m buying a costumer don’t deserve hate from employees like him .the rest of the employees are respectful and helpful .

    Good selections, well-stocked, clean and as generally a pleasant experience as grocery shopping _can_ be. Don’t know why Safeway took away the shopping baskets in favor of the mini-carts, but wish they’d change back.
