What People Are Saying: 5 Customer Reviews

  1. I love Daiso so much! This location doesn’t have a lot of parking so it can be a little stressful if you’re pressed for time. There are so many cute items and they’re constantly adding new merchandise. It’s all sales final BUT if you think you might like something, I’d recommend just buying it. Most items are $1.50 but there are other items marked higher. There’s a little bit of everything, home decorations, snacks, beauty, accessories, office supplies. That’s not even half of the categories they carry. Overall, a wonderful shopping experience.

  2. Japanese dollar store with the majority of items priced at $1.50. Some unique finds like socks meant to be worn with slippers, papers that soak up the fat when cooking soups, mini shape cutters to liven up your kids’ lunches. Overall, though, there wasn’t anything I had to have, and I’d rather pay a couple bucks more for the convenience of the much larger parking at Don Q or Walmart.

  3. Best DAISO on Oahu!!! I’ve been to all of the locations. This one is the largest. The aisles aren’t cramped or crowded with boxes of inventory. All the products are neatly displayed & you’ll see staff arranging them or restocking, making an effort to maintain the nice appearance. They were very kind & offered help to everyone. The line moved quickly & there were several cashiers. The parking lot is tiny, but free. There’s an attendant that will help you park. He kept traffic going smoothly in & out of the lot. I’m going to stop by every time I’m in the area!

  4. fun store for cheap finds. My wife goes there occasionally and always finds some kitchen accessories she is happy with. Parking is a bit hard.

  5. Densely packed store selling inexpensive Japanese daily sundries. Most items are not tagged, so are priced at $1.75. For the rest, use the YEN conversion chart. One star off for the parking situation. The lot is so small that they’ve hired two full time attendants to manage the chaos.

GREAT place for souvenirs! Seriously, compare prices here for souvenirs to ABC stores and other area stores. We paid $50 for 3 sarongs and clips, a keychain, magnet, 2 necklaces, earrings, small plumeria flower hair clip, Santa hat and two liter of soda. We had been to other shops nearby and we would have paid double the price for the same exact items or similar items. We found key chains and magnets at Aloha Dollar for 2/$6. I got necklaces for less than $4 whereas the exact necklaces (brand and style) are double the price elsewhere. They have a nice assortment of sarongs for $10 including the clips to tie them. Aloha Dollar is also a good place to shop for random necessities you may need or have forgotten to bring on your trip to Maui. So glad that I stumbled upon this place on Google before we left for vacation. We saved lots of money on souvenirs to take home. Don’t be fooled by the mall’s appearance. The store wasn’t visible when we parked in the main lot. Walk through the courtyard opening and it will be tucked between a few other stores.

Great Dollar Store with lots of surprises you wouldn’t expect and some amazing bargains! Finding it can be a bit tricky as it is at back corner of mall but that makes it even more of a hidden treasure.

!!! Tourist Saving Paradise !!! Kaleo is such a nice proprietor (6th generation Hawaiian) and very happy to help. I was delighted to find this place. I wish I would have shopped here instead of the tourist spots along Front Str. etc. They had everything. Polarized sunglasses ($6.99), Hawaiian shirts, ball caps ( around $7.00), fedoras, dresses (all styles), Hawaiian t-shirts, all cute. In fact, there is a plethora of Hawaiian statement pieces. Nail polish colors to match any outfit. Also, remover, to make it easy to switch it up. They carry plastic storage containers of many sizes. Other kitchens like utensils and storage. Postcards, greeting cards, pens. All in all, visit before you go to other stores. We paid $50.00 for 5pair polorized sunglasses, 2 Hawaiian baseball caps, and some extra large containers for ice. Serious good deals.

Friendly locals and the owner are super nice! Great deals to be found… Prices are high on Maui. Nice to get some things at a bargain price.

A dollar store in a tourist town. Ain’t much only a dollar here. They told me spices were reasonable here so I went. There’s almost None ! Disappointed. Lots of junk in here.
