After we made numerous phone calls (7 to be exact) to see what the issue was, called the bank to verify the payment was made and all caught up from a bank error, have the payment confirmation numbers, they still cut it off. Way to go VERIZON —leaving an 86 year old wheelchair-bound lady without her life line if she needed to call 911. Bought a galaxy z fold 4 didn’t like it tried to tell me I had to pay a new device activation fee and taxes as well as the device I was returning. Which doesn’t make sense as I’m not keeping the phone. The worker told me he’s never done a return and also tried to tell me I couldn’t return the phone even though I called Verizon to verify. When I checked in, I was told it would be an 8-10 minute wait. The person in front of me was told 5-8 minutes, so I didn’t hear incorrectly. I was surprised. The place seemed busy. My surprise was warranted. About 40 minutes in, the woman who checked in ahead of me made eye contact, and we both commented that this was a heck of a lot longer than 8 minutes.
Instead of 8-10 minutes, it ended up being 50 minutes, and they did not have the phone I wanted in stock. I don’t begrudge them the stocking issue; new phone releases are often sold out. I do begrudge them the fact that they clearly misrepresented the wait time. Every business knows their staffing and work flow, and to miss the estimated wait time by five-fold is either incompetence or misinformation. This is not acceptable customer service.
In sum, I’m not coming back here again. If you have all the time in the world or come during off hours, this may be a decent store. But, don’t believe what they say about wait times. And in the end, if you can’t believe them about one thing, is it worth believing them about something else? I’m going elsewhere.
Visited this location twice in the past 2 weeks. The 1st time was to purchase a new phone and the 2nd was to resolve minor issues with it. Despite it being the holiday season the staff were able to accommodate me in a reasonable amount of time. Very satisfied with the product and the polite staff.
