- Reviews:Went in to want to purchase lumber and tiles to do remodel and repair work on a bathroom. I called out to an employee for assistance and their were 4 of them standing around having a chat session. So l got fed up and left. Had to to go to the Clovis location to purchase what I needed. Now there I was greeted by a staff employee and asked how can I assist you? During my trip I noticed a lot of staff spread throughout the store. Everyone had a staff member to ask for help. I asked 2 different people for the location on smaller, less common items and both people took me straight there and helped me pick out the best option for my needs. There are plenty of checkout stands, mixed with self-checkout kiosks, so making my purchase was quick.
Okay, this is a bit weird. I used the web for another store and was able to find the product in store so ordered to pick it up. Next day I get a notice the order was cancelled and the money would be returned (Blackstone store). So I had to be in town in Clovis and went to this store. I was able to get help pretty readily and get me to the isle I needed. Picked out next best substitute product and started towards check out. I was steered toward self check out (not my usual choice) and was out quickly. All in all good experience.
Five stars because I just called them and waited for 20 minutes so they can let me know that they recently change delivery companies and they do not know if they can deliver to my area. They will be giving me a call back to let me know if they deliver here. Nice work Home Depot.
I live much closer to the HD on Chestnut, however, they never have shopping carts. The employees are nice. When I ask about carts they always say “homeless people take them” that’s not a good excuse. They have cameras in the parking lot that capture a ton of info about shoppers, they don’t see homeless walking off with the carts? Or is someone not doing their job?
This location on Shaw is very different employees are helpful they always have what I need in stock as plenty of carts!
I can spend hours here; I love Home Depot (and other stores like it). The service here at the Clovis store (and most Home Depots) are a hit or miss. Some are very knowledgeable, some are just there as a warm body walking around in an orange apron, but the folks that works in the flooring and cabinets department are useless…. I think everytime someone walks by, they pretend to be busy and just stare at the computer screens. I’ve NEVER been acknowledged by any of the workers in the flooring / cabinets departments (the folks who sits a the “design” desks).
