a week agoI frequently eat lunch at this location as they provide a small cafe area for people to eat. Today, while eating food I had just clearly paid for at their self scan, I was confronted by a manager and an ARMED security guard, demanding that I produce a receipt for the food I was eating. I couldn’t immediately find it, so they walked off to question the self scan attendant. I found my receipt and presented it to him, Edward, and he immediately dismissed the whole situation. He was completely rude and did not apologize. I asked to speak to a store manager and then Gerry came to the desk without any kind of name tag or ID. He refused to give me his last name and also refused to apologize. I patronized their store and they treated me like a criminal for absolutely no reason. All I wanted to do was eat my lunch in peace and instead I was treated to baseless accusations. Every square inch of that store is under video surveillance. They could have very easily of reviewed the footage from minutes prior.4 months agoI have a 50/50 love/hate thing going on for this Newport Kroger. For one, I LOVE this Monstera bag I found today and really want it for my birthday! I LOVE the employees at Kroger, and I LOVE the selection MUCH better than the smaller Covington Kroger. But honestly, I avoid this place like the plague after 10am. Parking sucks so bad right off the bat. It’s a battle between dodging cars and hitting pedestrians trying to get in and out of the parking spaces, the lot just isn’t big enough for the population of people anymore. The pharmacy is so backed up I switched to Walgreens 10 years ago and nothing has changed for the Kroger pharmacy lines. Honestly I do love this place. Just do not go during rush hour!!2 years agoAlways excellent service….clean, well stocked and the employees all have great attitudes and willing to help you locate what you are looking for. Deli service was excellent to with fast moving line. 💖6 years agoGreat place for your monthly groceries. The produce is quite fresh. The other sections are also having a very good quality products. Their own private labels – STO (Simple Truth Organic) and Private Selection products are great with very reasonable price. There is a bulk section but is very small and limited number of options. Although relatively it’s better since the competitors Target and Walmart don’t have any kind of bulk section at all. However, I have seen much larger bulk sections in Winco in Texas. So, coming from there, it is a disappointment. There is also a salad bar right next to the bulk section which has all kinds of veggies, fruits and meats that go into a salad. The bakery isn’t so great though. We tried a couple of things like cheesecake and Tiramisu and they were okay. There is also a pharmacy and walk-in clinic which is good. Generally there is a little wait time involved in the clinic. The nurse and the rest of the staff is good. We have been purchasing groceries from here since last four months and are very much satisfied. The staff is good and quite supportive. On some occasions we did come across 1-2 folks who were rude but otherwise the people have been very supportive.4 months agoKroger pricing is out of line with their competition. Mejier and Walmart are less expensive for exactly the same item. Then you use their gas station to use your rewards which don’t apply after I just walked out the store and went the station. It’s printed on the receipt and doesn’t work.

a month agoKroger Dolphin Drive. Deli department needs to step there game up. Had to wait nearly 20 mins for service. No one was running the front. Food bar only had 6 choices of food and all chicken related and 1 side of potato wedges. Had to call on the phone to get service.a month agoProduce is never fresh did not care for the pasta the had to have dropped and shaken the Box to get these shells to be so Badly brokenin the last weekWas there the other day for grocery haul and the cashier didn’t even ring up all of my groceries. I didn’t notice because I had put everything on the belt and was helping the bagger bag groceries and I had 2 kids with me. However, upon returning home I noticed I’m missing quite a few items. I live 35 minutes away so it’s not like it’s a quick run to the store.2 months agoThe price of the coupons on the shelf did not match the digital ones on the app. I had to go around the store twice to take pictures of the price on the shelves due to it not being correct. This happens every time. They could have easily asked an associate to go check.4 months agoIt was crowded with so many people trying to get last minute Easter food. But after making making my choices the line was quick. I wasn’t so sure after seeing such a,long wait line. Even the self check out was full. But it only took a few minutes in line before my turn. I dont remember the last time I’d seen so many people working so fast deligent. My items were packed and ready as soon as I paid. Nothing was cracked, broken, squashed or left behind. I even was given assistance putting the heavy objects in my car. Kroger us getting better everyday. They’ve really hired an awesome staff ,

Honestly, I’m only giving this 1 star because of the Spectrum people. The store is fine, like any other store. I don’t complain about customer service, that’s the same everywhere.
But, Kroger as a whole has decided to allow Spectrum people to annoy customers as they walk in and out of the store. I don’t want to deal with this. I’m not looking to change my services, but they won’t let it go. If I lie and say I have Spectrum cable, they go on about all the other services, too. I don’t want to be harassed by salesmen. I feel like I’m forced to be rude just to get away from them, and I don’t want to be. I’m just trying to do my grocery shopping after work, y’all.
This is one of the best Krogers in the area with the most variety of products. Usually I have a wide range of items on my grocery list and I am able to get all of them at this Kroger. At some of the other ones, it is very hit or miss on whether they even sell the items or brands I am looking for. Plus the layout seems to make the most sense, some of the others are a bit weird and I feel like I have to keep running back and forth.
The staff that I encountered was very nice and helpful. It’s a smaller store so it doesn’t have a lot of options. Sometimes the brands I’m looking for are not in stock or the flavors. Overall it’s a great place to stop and just get a quick pick up. The pharmacy is very nice. The staff there are always wise and helpful with questions regarding drug interactions. Their clearance section has been moved and it was crammed full of items yesterday which is nice for bargain shopping.
Most of the time, this is a good store but at 8:38 pm on July 23 2023. A male employee with a full beard was yelling the F word at a customer. I don’t care what the reason turns out to be, still should have a professional attitude
Great selection so I give it 4 stars. However the guy at the fish counter makes me never want to buy anything from that area. He is extremely rude everytime I have gone In. Same for my girlfriend. And I get it everyone has there bad days from time to time so I usually just let it go. But the same attitude of just plain rude over months of visiting and getting something. I never leave bad reviews on people but I am honestly tired of it and something needs to be done. My girlfriend said he is worse to the women to her and others when she has been in there. Idk about that but from personal experience it’s not a good attitude to have cause I would rather take my business for that section to another location where I can deal with a nicer person. Other than that all the other staff I have encountered have been great!
