What People Are Saying: 5 Customer Reviews

  1. We decided to take a shower after a long drive on Thursday, but there was no shampoo. It was hot on that day we tried to turn on the air conditioner but it didn’t work in our suite.
We reported both incidents to the front desk first thing Friday morning, the lady told us she would have both taken care of. We left our rooms at 10am but when we returned after 4pm the problems were still there. We complained to the front desk, she did send somebody to fix the air conditioner. It turned on but the wind was not cool at all where as our son’s suite was nice and cool! The air was just at room temperature for the days while we were there.
We were told that there would not be housekeeping service everyday, but we would get the service every three days and a service would be provided Saturday morning, but we didn’t get service on Saturday. We checked with the front desk Saturday in the afternoon, she told us nothing had been put down for our housekeeping service! She did request a service for us but not the same day, only on next day.
We wouldn’t mind if you told us up front that there was no housekeeping service, so we knew what to expect and how we should prepare ourselves. We were very disappointed that they provided us the false information!
We think both suites (ours and our son’s) were not ready and were not meant to be rented out because the hotel was under renovation. Our closet was very dusty and dirty. Our son did not say anything about the dust, but no hair conditioner was provided for his suite.
We had been a loyal customer of this Best Western but not anymore!
    VERY DISAPPOINTED!!!!!

  2. Proximity to nearby activities is great. The room was half renovated (which consisted of a fresh coat of paint and replacing the wall “art”), we had no towels upon check-in, the ac didn’t work properly, and the toilet backed up. The room was also just dirty in general. Their famous hot breakfast was also unavailable until further notice on our last day. The main feature of the place is it’s a short drive to things and parking is free. Beyond that, it’s like you’re staying at a sketchy apartment complex.

  3. So it’s right next to everything so it’s a great place.

Breakfast was perfect, always had plenty of what we were looking for and the coffee was never empty.

The kids loved the pool, it’s only 5′ at the deepest so it’s great for the kids to play in.

Towels were tricky to find sometimes. They just went fast. The front desk would bring them to your room if they were out.

Food trucks were always in the parking lot next to this one so that worked pretty well too.

We had about 10 rooms in our group, two people had to switch rooms due to the AC going out but it worked out.

  4. We stayed here for 3 nights during Junior Olympics. The location was OK in that regard as it was pretty centrally located for all the pools that we needed to go to, however, there wasn’t much else nearby except a small strip mall with a couple of restaurants. The rooms were large, but had a lot of room for improvement. The small refrigerator acted more as a cooler without ice than a refrigerator. The bathroom door didn’t shut, no toilet paper holder (tp was just set on the tank of the tub), dirty and stained tub with a mat placed over it to try and hide it, and just overall spotty finishings. The bed was comfortable, but carpets were horribly stained. The free breakfast was decent and the small gym was nice although my key wouldn’t open the door. I had to ask the front desk to let me in. The front lobby looks like it has been updated and the rest of the place has been left behind.

  5. We checked into this hotel relatively late at night, so didn’t get to use the pool or many of the other amenities. When we checked into our hotel room, there were no towels. We called the front desk and asked if they would put some aside for a morning pickup. The following morning (at 6AM mind you), we called the front desk and they said they had no towels and would not have any full size ones until 11AM.

Additionally, the bathroom had no toilet paper holder and there were tons of stains on the walls. The rest of the room was nice, but the bathroom clearly needed some work.

Breakfast was what you would expect.

The WORST “hotel” I’ve ever stayed at. In fact, it’s worse than a sketchy motel. I don’t even know how this place is still open for business.

I wasn’t even going to write a review until the hotel itself sent me an email reminder to “use the link to write a Google/[Yelp] 5-star review” (in a Comic Sans font, no less) which tipped me off to the fact that they were completely clueless to how bad their hotel rooms are.

I’ll be as concise as possible so that you are able to corroborate my critiques to the corresponding photos:

    (1) Check-in process. I’ll start with the only glimmer of hope in my entire experience – the front desk staff. They were kind and never had an attitude. The only feedback I have of them is that to make conversation, the lady at the front desk made a comment about where I lived based off of a sensationalist negative news stories about my city. I get that she may only get her news from a certain news source which most likely led her to that notion but no matter what, if you have nothing nice to say to a stranger, don’t say it at all.

    (2) Elevators and hallways. As I finished checking in, I got into the elevators. They were functional but the amount of graffiti in that elevator would make the elevator at an inner-city parking garage blush. Once out of the hallway, I walked into what was touted as a “smoke-free” facility but it was clear to me that it smelled of not only new smoke but the smoke that’s pretty baked-into the carpet and walls.

    (3) The Room. As I walked into the room. There was still a faint smell of smoke but I figured that was just from the hallway. It looked clean enough. A little run-down but clean. The room looked very bare bones and institutional. There is a full kitchen, bathroom with tub, desk, dining table, and what looked to be a 15-year-old TV. As I looked closer, the cabinets were all chipped away and worn away, the fridge didn’t have a working lightbulb inside, and then I noticed that there was no silverware, dishware, or pots and pans to be found. Turns out, you have to request them all from the front desk. Why not just put them in there in the first place?! I look around some more, and I find that pretty much all of the furniture is worse for wear with a few cigarette burns in random places. At this point, I was so tired that I just chose to ignore it because everything did seem cleaned well. So I decided to change and lie down on the bed. It was the worst hotel bed I’ve ever slept on. Not only was it old and lumpy, but it didn’t even feel level. Again, I decided to ignore it because I was tired.

    (4) The bathroom. After falling asleep for a couple of hours, I got back up to actually take a bath and get ready for actual bedtime. At this point, it was midnight. I get up and turn on the light to the bathroom, and what do I see? At least a couple of cockroaches scurrying away. I though I may have just been seeing something but nope, I was able to find a couple of dead ones in the corners of the bathroom. Mind you, the bathroom is literally right next to the kitchen where I had my food.

That was the last straw for me. It was at that point that I called my credit card rewards to speak to the hotel about refunding me the rest of the nights that I had planned to stay there. I also went to the front desk to tell them that I will not be staying for the rest of my stay and I told them about the cockroaches and they seemed to be unsurprised. Her response to me wasn’t “I’m sorry” but instead “Oh I thought we fumigated that room.” What?! That’s not how fumigating works! You can’t just fumigate a couple of rooms and call it a day. It was going to be a 3-night stay and I left as soon as I could and until my new hotel could accommodate me to check in. (Which btw was the Comfort Inn Anaheim Resort which couldn’t have been a night-and-day experience, It was perfect and I highly suggest them. I will write them a separate review.) I was at this Extended Stay hotel for a total of 10 hours and I regret every minute of it.

Do NOT stay here. You will regret it.

I had to say something about this hotel. Stayed there for 12 nights, and it was not a great experience. Customer service is pretty bad. It seems they were bothered by seeing us asking for something. They had full kitchen but was not able to provide us more than one cooking item and it was just a frying pan. I asked for a coffee maker almost every day, but they could not arrange a coffee maker in 12 days. Hotel location was great with lots of other hotels. I regrate selecting this hotel. Hope they improve customer service, cleanliness and provide items that are supposed to be in the room for people staying longer.

Good price point for a decent room with a full size fridge and cooking top. What truly made my stay special was the amazing staff. Special shout out to Tiarah!!! She was amazing and went above and beyond. Will definetly be returning.

I was in the area for my job, and generally I’m fine with low budget hotels – especially if it is for one night only.

While the staff was friendly, and the property initially appeared to be I. ok shape, I found cleanliness issues.

The shower had quite a few hairs I. it from the previous occupant and later in the night when I went to the bathroom there were cockroaches. Two cracked up out of the bath tub drain and one was on the floor.

I will never stay there again.

I’ve stayed at different ESA hotels before so I already knew what to expect. At this location, it was ok for a night’s stay. I’ve stayed longer at another location and that location was good, no complaints, but this location was just decent. It could have been cleaned better & I was grossed out by how dirty the shower towels looked, as if they were previously used & also I found a dirty & actually used wash cloth hanging on the shower curtain. As guests we are able to take dirty towels, wash cloths, hand cloths, etc. The stuff that the hotel provides ONLY to the front desk and have exchanged for clean towels, wash cloths, hand cloths, etc. But it is the guests responsibility to do so. In my case I didn’t do that being that I was only there for 1 night. I just made sure to leave a dirty pile on the floor for housekeeping. Another thing that was disappointing was that there was no complimentary coffee in the lobby. It would have been nice to have instead of having to get it from the Starbucks that was next door. There is no pool at this location, it’s a doable hotel, not horrible. The beds are very comfortable, when I went, the staff seemed very nice and friendly, at least to me they were. The internet worked fine. It’s not a horrible hotel, It’s ok/decent. If I had to stay there again I would.

I think I should start with the positive stuff. The staff is incredible. Stacey is the bartender and man she is good. She is a pro and I know our guests loved her. Melissa was also a pro, and I would recommend asking for her if you choose to use The French Estate. She took calls while she was on her vacation, which I really appreciated. The set up crew was incredible and they made the whole venue look beautiful. With all that being said, the owner really placed a grey cloud over the day. To summarize my feelings, I think she probably enjoyed helping people at one point, but I think that time is over. She can be abrasive, and I didn’t like the way she treated our DJ. Our DJ, Rachel, showed up to make sure her equipment worked and was greeted by a hostile owner. She questioned why Rachel was there even though Rachel was given the go-ahead by Melissa. On the day of the wedding, Rachel showed up to set everything up, but her one of her batteries ended up being stolen at some point in the morning. When Rachel began asking questions, the owner could have rolled her eyes and shrugged her shoulders because that was essentially how Rachel was treated. Another negative was, as we were preparing for the ceremony, people kept walking up from the street to see the venue. If I have booked the space and people’s time, why are other people walking around to see if they’d like to use the space? It’s bad business practice, and the owner should place a sign in front that states no entrance without booking a consultation. All a long worded review to say, the people and the venue are both incredible, but I’m not sure it’s worth dealing with the owner.

Beautiful venue with a variety of backgrounds, textures, and lighting. The house is full of charm and character with gorgeous directional light to yield beautiful photos. My clients got married in the front yard and held their reception in the backyard, which helped maximize their timeline. The lush greenery provided a nice contrast while the market lights were a nice accent at night. There is a cute little cottage in the backyard (where the guest restroom is located), and the entire property is impeccably maintained. Given that it is located in a residential area, parking is limited (but there’s a shuttle) and end time is earlier than at most venues (something to keep in mind if you want to party hard… maybe you can host an after-party somewhere else?). If you will be getting married during the summer, I recommend adding shade for your guests OR providing umbrellas for them along with a nearby water station as it gets warm in direct sunlight. My bride did not hire a coordinator, but Karen was present and served as the venue hostess. She was very helpful, ensured that the day ran smoothly, and clearly took pride in managing their gorgeous estate. If you read this far, best wishes with wedding planning!

Sarah and the entire staff made our wedding amazing. All of our guests loved her property and we couldn’t have had a more joyful or better day. The setting is very intimate and was perfect for us and our guests. Sarah was helpful and easy going. The property was extremely clean and beautifully organized. She is very easy to work with, easy to contact with any questions, and helped our wedding go off without a hitch. Not only is she affordable but her packages comes with table and chairs (although we opted for our own farm tables). We couldn’t have asked for a better or more beautiful day during these weird times. Thank you for everything Sarah! If your looking to book a wedding here it is very charming and unique wedding venue (just look at the pictures). You will not regret it!

I had my wedding here, and almost everything turned out bad. I wouldn’t refer anyone to this place. The bartender had an attitude that was not very professional. It was like the people here didn’t care much about me or my guests. There were only a few food entries and a main course, but the servers didn’t provide the service right. They couldn’t even keep the food warm. The parking was unconvinced because the parking lot was located at another location. I hear a lot of complaints about this place from my guests of how bad this place was.

This rather small venue shines quite a bit. The front yard is big enough to sit rows of wedding guests and the back is big enough to accommodate 15-20 round tables.

They created a ceiling with large awning like covers to provide shade in the back. One good thing about the back is, even without those covers, well shaded by the tall trees surrounding the property once the sun starts dipping.

According to an employee whom I spoke with, this place accommodates not only weddings but baby showers and any small events.

One thing though to keep in mind for any folks who want to rent this place is that it appears that there’s no dedicated parking. I parked in the street.
