  1. The leasing experience here is absolutely warm and amazing. The staff is very friendly and welcoming. Linwood was especially wonderful. He took the time to show me several available units and really seems to know the property well. New units referred to as “phase 2” are under construction. I will be the first person to ever live in my unit which is a nice touch! I am pleased to call Carriage on the Lake my new home! Shout out (and thanks to) Linwood Monroe!

  2. As usual, the pre-leasing phase was great. I moved in and the service level has done a complete 180. Simply put, i was in my unit for less than 2 weeks. I received a notice in my door that my water bill was $83. 12 days…$83? I have sent numerous emails to my leasing agent and the manager l. I have called the office and never receive a live person. I simply want to understand how 12 days, 4 of which i was out of town consecutive weekends, equates to $83. Otherwise, I have no issues. The walls are paper thin, but it’s apartment living.

  3. Most courteous and professional staff. Linwood made me feel right at home. He was friendly and polite. Very detail oriented. Actually answering my questions before I asked them. This let me know he was experienced. The property is beautiful and well kept. I expected nothing less.

  4. Had more than one tour from Lynwood Monroe. Not because I was indecisive but because I wanted to show all of my friends and family how great this apartment complex is. And because honestly, I really love the front office staff. I’d recommend this complex to anyone who asks. So glad I made the decision to move here.

  5. The apartment complex was very nice and the upkeep was amazing. We moved to our mom here and she loves it. Lynwood Monroe was great with us throughout the entire process. He was very friendly, informative and professional. If i worked closer, i would move here myself.

    And p.s. honestly i love the rims on the golf cart.

    It’s difficult to put into words how much this place means to me. My Dad has multiple conditions that make living alone at home untenable. He is a proud and strong man who has achieved a lot in his life and leaving the home he has known was difficult. The change that has occurred in the 2 weeks since he came to the Landon has been like the dawning of a new day! Even in the context of “independent living” there is SO MUCH support here! Breakfast with the gang in the morning, supervised exercise and engaging classes in the early afternoon, field trips to wherever the consensus decides, cars available for reservation for errands, the quiet environment, capable security, chef prepared meals, on-site exam room for doctor visits, on-site salon, and the welcoming atmosphere for family and friends are just a few of the many features. It is like Dad was “awakened” and is much more engaged in life, is happier, and spreads joy to to others! The support has turned back his clock by years! If you have the means for this place, it will be a bargain to offer your loved one a space here. I look forward to my own eligibility for residence here!

    The most warm & welcoming Independent Living community in Dallas. Great residents, busy having fun with a million activities. The leadership is caring and professional. If I needed IL services now, I would go to The Landon at Lake Highlands

    So impressed with the staff and how they try to bring informational and timely activities along with numerous educational opportunities to their residents. I have been so fortunate to work with them on several. Sara is exceptional and caring. As someone who is in a lot of communities, the Landon at Lake Highlands is definitely 5 stars!

    I have had the pleasure of working with The Landon at Lake Highlands as a Bistro chef a few times now. I love this place! The amenities, grounds, and homes are beautiful! The residents are absolutely wonderful, and my coworkers were always willing to help. The leasing staff are amazing and will go out of their way to make you feel welcome and at home! You won’t find a better place for your family members to call home!

    If you are Black DO NOT MOVE HERE!!! They stalk and pick at the black people that are on the property!!! Management very unprofessional, maintenance watches your every move. If you are black only they do not bother the Mexicans are the white people only the Black people and that is ridiculous. I feel like I’ve been discriminated against and pick that since I’ve been here, please move here at your own risk. If you are black, I repeat if you are black, please move here at your own risk. This is not a safe place for you or your black children to live in Maintenance Phyllis, if they can speak to your children any type of way. They go to your house when you’re not home or unaware of it… they have drug houses around the apartments which Mexicans are distributing. But yet and still because of our black skin color, they seem to discriminate when will racism come to an end.

    The apartments are nice and the property is clean and quiet that is what I liked most about the complex. But management is terrible you are never told the same thing when you call. I filled out an application and paid the fee December 2021 and I spoke with a gentleman end of February beginning of March and I was #6 on the waiting list, since then he and two other people I started with are no longer there and somehow Irene is unable to find any of my information. She said that she was going through 2019 waiting list so they are taking applications and fees knowing they don’t have available units. So Disappointing and Dishonest!! Since then the new Manager has made great efforts to correct things.

    The front office and clubhouse was really nice! Very modern, nicely furnished! The apartments where clean and quiet. Nice pool and playground area. It’s very close to the highway might be a little loud. I would definitely move here.
