- Reviews:Please keep Your family members away from this facility!!! They do not care at all and it’s only about the money ! We had a beautiful lady pass away due to their negligence! From their staff member cutting her leg with her finger nail and she then became septic. Accidents happen but they showed no remorse at all. In fact still charged her over 5,000 a month when she was in hospital due yo them and once back when she never even ate anymore and was bedridden. - Reviews:My 83-year-old mother has been a resident of Harbor Chase for at least three years. While all retirement homes struggled during Covid, Harbor Chase came through with flying colors- and continues to do so. They provide fun activities, plenty of music, monthly festivals, love family visitors, and the staff is incredibly compassionate and love what they do! The location is incredibly close to our home and is somewhat of a boutique residence, exactly what we were looking for with assisted living for my mom. From the time you walk in the front door, the greeting we received by the Receptionist was VERY WELCOMING & HOSPITABLE!!! She took the time to not only acknowledge us, but made sure that she accommodated us by asking us if we would care for a cold beverage, (it was extremely hot outside that day) & then took the time to ask & make sure that she was addressing our questions to get us to the right person(s)! The Director came out shortly after being called & gave us a VERY WARM WELCOME & then proceeded to show us around the BEAUTIFUL FACILITY! While we were touring Harbor Chase, the Director of Nursing, stopped what she was doing & introduced herself. She was ABSOLUTELY AMAZING, as well! She was EXTREMELY WARM & FRIENDLY, & VERY KNOWLEDGEABLE about the facility and ALL OF THE RESIDENTS! She explained to us how all of the staff TRULY CARES for all of the residents there, just like FAMILY, & ALWAYS LOVE to go above & beyond to meet all of their needs, and some! The dining area(s) were VERY clean, organized & very inviting! The residents rooms (that we were able to see) were really nice sized rooms, & the residents all seemed to be VERY COMFORTABLE & HAPPY there. I was REALLY IMPRESSED with our entire visit! This facility is EXACTLY where I would have COMPLETE PEACE OF MIND putting my loved one, KNOWING that they would be cared for 24/7! My dad has been living at the Chateau for one year. The apartment has a great layout. The entrance is a gathering place for the residents, which the furniture and decor is very nice. The management is amazing and very helpful. Not one resident has came down with the corona virus! The management Nicol and Sadie are on top of keeping all the residents safe and very much care about the residents.
The one thing I was very surprised about is how good the food is. When I ate with my dad, I had the French Onion Soup and seriously the best I have ever had. My dad really enjoys the food.
There were a lot of activities for the residents. before the virus outbreak, so hopefully things will be back on track soon.
I give the Chateau a review of 100%!
This looks like a nice facility but I think the rent is too high for them to dictate the temperature of your thermostat.
When we walked in The Chateau we were pleasantly surprised. Though the photos were not taken at this location it wasn’t too bad. The person who was to take us on our tour welcomed us & as we begin to walk she turns around & asks us our age which seemed odd since it was supposed to be a 55 & up community. So my husband tells her 56. She then tells us the average age is 73. Right then we saw she wasn’t too thrilled to have us. You have got to be there to believe it. She turns around & off we go.
She takes us 2 two apartments. She was able to answer a couple of questions but there were also I don’t knows.Why wouldn’t the director of sales not know if there was carpet in other apartments. We don’t want carpet. Then we moved on to the 2nd apartment. She answered a couple of things & we moved to the bedroom & turned around to ask a question but she wasn’t there. She was in the other room laughing with a neighbor.
We head downstairs. We walk through this 10’ pass through that had coffee, tea hot chocolate & a popcorn machine. She didn’t say if there was anything else. This was the snack area. We pass tthe dining room but she doesn’t stop to let us look around. She took us down a hallway showed us the craft room. Then we walk out to the pool/common area. Beautiful.
We then head to the front where she offers us a folder with information. We tell her we have one & said goodbye. She never took us to see the movie theater, gym & everything they offer. We had a a lot of questions but never had the time to ask. We leave.
The facility in a stack of wonderful. Without a few bumps in the road upon moving from my mother, but we’re getting through it. Overall it’s a wonderful place.
I’ve gotten the honor of working in many a fancy establishment such as this, and this thus far has been the best!! From top to bottom and bottom to top, Chateau is truly unique. If you get a chance to come here, don’t pass it up. If you have someone that lives here. Visit often. If YOU live here, let me know when you read this.
